Wow is tht actually a Romulan ship? and a Jem'hadar one at that, color me actually surprised to see this. I don't see myself getting the bundle as the temporal ship mechanic didn't really wow me at ALL on the TOS styled versions but I will probably get the Rom one because it looks really nice.
Dunno about the stations. No Lt. Cmdr. Tactical/Universal means I won't be able to slot 2 copies of FAW3.
But for the million-dollar question: will Feds flying the Kholhr Temporal Warbird be able to use the battlecloak?!
I don't see why they wouldn't. It's a feature of the ship. Tiaru Jarok asks in Butterfly , "Does EVERYONE have our cloaking technology?" My reply, "Yep."
So.... does this mean my Fed engineer will be able to slot a Singularity core too?!
Would buy the Edison in a sci setup, but really don't need another escort, as I don't play tactical much these days. Could really use another sci ship with the Temporal/Molecular powers. The Nautilus spaceframe offends my eyeballs.
I like the KDF one the most, followed by the Romulan one and less of all the JH one.
I think its a move on the right direction to release 1 ship for each faction and for that i believe they are worth supporting, so I may buy the full pack. I also like the damage types are themed.
My favorite ship types are carriers but i treat all my toons as "main" and some got a big use for these ships
I had been critical of them on a lot of things lately but this one deserves a "Well done Cryptic" at least
As much as I love the Temporal Operative specialty for my Captains and Bridge Officers, the Temporal ship gimmick that requires four keybinds to make full use of is actively off-putting to me. It's a shame that the Mannheim Effect was already claimed by a console years ago, because it would have been a better gimmick for this type of ship.
That said, it's nice to see Starfleet and the KDF finally get their first eight weapon Tactical ships, six years after the introduction of the playable Scimitar. And it's very, very nice to see that the Romulan and Dominion factions aren't as abandoned as I thought they were at the start of the game's dip into Discovery-inspired content.
Am I the only one seeing a backwards Millennium Falcon in the Fed ship? Or am I just the only one not too classy to mention it?
No, if you ignore the nacelles and the lack of the piloting "arm" sticking out of one side it does resemble the Falcon a bit from the top. A lot of Eaves's stuff has that unfortunate generic look which is why I prefer Drexler's designs over Eaves's designs for the most part. Also, Drexler seems to have a better grasp of nuances, like giving the NX that hint of WWII feel.
Most of the ships look ugly to me except maybe the Romulan and Jem'Hadar ones, although the Romulan one doesn't exactly look like a typical ship from that faction. The KDF one looks like a Star Wars podracer. Honestly I don't care for Temporal anymore unless maybe if it's a sci ship.
The biggest thing for me is the new ideas being implemented into this bundle. The Romulan ship being open for FED and KDF use is a no-brainer move. The ditching of the completely unnecessary T6 mastery mechanic is good too. The console boosting faction appropriate energy weapons is a little bit of a head scratcher but is interesting none the less.
When you see "TRIBBLE" in my posts, it's because I manually typed "TRIBBLE" and censored myself.
'Since we non-Romulans can now all fly this Romulan ship, does that mean when we get an Event Ship with a special Warp Core or Episode Reward Warp Core we will now also have access to the corresponding Singularity Core as well?'
'But to be logical is not to be right', and 'nothing' on God's earth could ever 'make it' right!'
Judge Dan Haywood
'As l speak now, the words are forming in my head.
l don't know.
l really don't know what l'm about to say, except l have a feeling about it.
That l must repeat the words that come without my knowledge.'
Honestly we have never had a full command or miracle worker tac ship in the c-store, I wish we could get some with one of those specs.
Yeah, that was a huge disappointment to me. I am still waiting for a Romulan equivalent to the MW Battle Cruisers.. my guess is that I'll be waiting forever. Of all the Specializations, I think Temporal is the one that excites me the least. I can usually find one or two powers I like from the rest, Temporal to me is just useless.
The ships themselves aren't all that. There is no shortage of excellent Escorts in T6.
The trait isn't all that, the console doesn't look much from the news page information that I can tell.
Whether one likes how they look, that's up to personal tastes.
This isn't that good of a release but for one purpose: A true multi-faction pack that covers everything. Fed, KDF, Roms (long neglected), and even Dominion. We haven't had such a release in a long time.

Discovery kind of steps on that now. We have no Romulans to be even seen in Discovery, and T'Kuvma's faction in the KDF got Cloaking technology for the Klingon Empire. We see cloaks used by the Klingons all over the place in Disco since then.
Old school TOS, the Klingons didn't have it, not until the B'Rel halfway through the TOS crew movie series. Even the K'T'Inga Battlecruisers in The Motion Picture weren't cloaked.

Not sure what a GNN Thread is, but I'm glad you asked.
Pass for me, for two reasons. 1) They are TAC ships. I only fly cruisers. And if I wanted a break from cruisers, I have enough SCI and TAC ships already. 2) The Romulan ship has a singularity core, and not a warp core, despite the announcement about sharing technologies and Factions helping each other design ships.
The set was a good idea, with a great price point. I'll be waiting to see what the next cross faction set will be.
PS, The trait that boosts the faction's assigned beam type does not impress me. I won't be interested in a trait like that for my Romulan until some new plasma beam sets are made. I still say we need a plasma omni set, and/or a plasma beam set that features a direct fire torpedo.

It really doesn't but whatever. Seeing as these designs are made by ILM in the first place a bit of overlap is nothing new, after all the Millenium Falcon was in the second battle of Wolf 359 in First Contact anyway.
The Falcon showing up to fight the Borg is fair enough, it would not have a hull without the duranium Lucas borrowed from Roddenberry to make the alloys it is made from.

I'm curious why they decided to not to continue to use the T6 mastery level for account unlock.
Really weird direction IMO.
Probably because it added nothing to the game other than a pointless grind and people hated it?
The 'weird direction' was making the T6 ship mastery in the first place.

Thank god for that!
We really need to get away from the terrible system of tying traits and ships to starship mastery. It's one of the worst systems in the game, and needs to be abolished in short order.
I am so sick of having to level ships I don't want for traits. I am really happy that they decided not to push forward with the awful 'T6 Mastery' thing.
I read that as you GET a 50% off coupon with the bundle, to get another T6 ship of your choice for 1500 zen.
Yeah, the inclusion of a 50% ship coupon is a smart value add for Cryptic.
Makes the bundle it comes on seem better. So more sales of the bundle.
Probably makes them more money on the addional ship sale since presumably many will use it on a ship they'd not buy for full price (aka Cryptic gets $0). Instead they actually come out $15 ahead.

Well, oval after looking at some images.
I'd have to squint really hard to see it myself. And I can't squint that hard.

I've seen a resemblance, with the saucer and the backwards thingy ma-bobs. Might save my pennies for these at some point.
And knowing is half the battle!
