And yikes those Klingon Discovery ships look hideous IMO. You wouldn't even think they were Klingon at first glance. More like random blob of the week alien ship.
You'd almost think they'd originated from a vast interstellar empire fractured by internal political struggles (see. main plot) which probably hasn't resulted in many joint development projects (though you can imagine sharing some designs through shifting alliances and good old fashioned espionage.)
(Standardization in military forces is often influenced by that culture's historical circumstances and it's a sci-fi trope that everything made by a particular culture shares a single iconography, wholly representative of that species (and only that species.) For Starfleet it's an easy projection, it's a single organization with a central power structure. However, that's not what the empire is in DSC.)
I mean its not like they left a standard Klingon ship out of the mix to serve as a very recognizable counterpoint to the disjointed fleet of a disjointed empire which moves the DSC Klingons closer to their state in TOS.
Then why aren't there twelve distinct Klingon ships, representing each Great House?
Just wondering
because Klingons are too stupid to build their own ships.
not necessarily...after all, Investigate Rumors of Klingon Intelligence always ends up with my officers failing to find signs of klingon intelligence

Why are the warp effects sounds of NON-DISCO toons affected?! It sounds really dull compared to the old warp effect sounds..
I don't think the program was set up for individualized sound effects for warp in the first place, and either a new swap system is bugged and failing to actually swap, or the devs could not figure out how to do it and changed the base effects. Either way, it breaks immersion and should be fixed though they probably will not fix it.
Since this is the AoD thread and this started for me yesterday. What is with Jorel hailing me for the TFO's. I decline, then have to do a second screen decline. Then he calls me right back about blue gills now with the same second screen decline. Then Garak calls. Decline. And Jorel calls a third time about TFO's? Is this the new normal or a bug?

I think it just goes down the list bugging you until you accept one. I accepted one and it stopped but I have no idea if it stays that way after you do a que or whether it starts again since I got to that point late last night and ever since today's update all I get is a black screen and crash notice when I try to launch the game.

I mean the showrunners have clearly determined that Klingawnz r Stoopid, that they are bestial, that indeed, only the top of the line models are even capable of speech, much less thought.

yeah, dialogue the showrunners seem to have taken to heart...too much so
but, they've been fired, so hopefully the replacements do better
tacking on acrylic hair to the latex body-condom isn't gonna do it for me. The problem begins and ends in the corporate offices responsible for approving Discovery and overseeing it, and that hasn't changed.

Looking for something new to play? I've started building Foundry missions again in visual novel form!
Regarding AoD content/experience, are we playing missions in 2256 until we hit Lv 10 then get thrown forward to 2411?
If not Lv 10, then what Lv?

PS - I fully support a T6 Nova, fixing the Nova skins. I am also rooting for a T6 Science Cruiser, that can use Nova/Rhode Island skins. T6 Nova/Rhode Island, T6 Oberth & T6 Constellation are needed. Also needed a T6 Science Cruiser, that can wear any Science or Cruiser skin.

lower than 10. I think mine was 7.
My AoD Engineer was Lv 4 when she got the mission "Descent"; completing it & collecting rewards deposited her in 2410 as a freshly minted Lv 6.

To the DEVS & game staff: PLEASE make the DSC Transporter Effect less bright! It is too bright, imho. It does not hurt my eyes in the show but it is in the game. Need to take it down a notch.
OR, at the very least, allow us to dim that effect, without having to dim everything else in the game.

you cannot market toilet paper with the star trek label because there are no toilets in star trek - and therefore, toilet paper has never shown up either

The Next Generation had four sub-par seasons with only an episode or two from those years that were decent. That initial spinoff did improve markedly after that, but some beloved characters were duds from day one. Only Data, Worf, La Forge and Picard showed growth throughout the series. The others were cyphers that would have been better off in a grave alongside Yar. I liked DS9 far better and thought that Voyager was an improvement over Next Generation too. Enterprise like Discovery decided for dubious reasons to breaks ranks with fandom more than was necessary. It is difficult seeing how the canon-TOS era could have stemmed from either prequel, but I see no reasons to wail, gnash teeth, or cry about any of that!

TNG's biggest problem is that the original concept was something like Macross in a way, with a small civilian town and research center joined to a war ship for protection but they also wanted to use up the old Phase II scripts which required a conventional heavy cruiser. The writers seemed to have found the Macross-like concept too strange and glommed onto the Phase II as the only story style which rendered a lot of the characters superfluous since they only did separation stories a few times in the entire series instead of it being the norm and therefore did not need two bridge crews for that.
The time war apparently changed a lot of things in ENT but instead of reversing all of them they apparently forced changes to correct course to meet with TOS (apparently it is some kind of node era or something). They were obviously not able to handle the huge paradox event caused by the Tholian's Defiant grab and the Empire grabbing it from them which resulted in the highly distorted DSC prime timeline. The changes between season one and two could even be the temporal authority still scrambling to fix things behind the scenes a century down the road from the disaster. I would imagine they would have a kind of deadline in 2268 when the events of "The Tholian Web" originally happened so it does not spawn even more Terminator-esque distortions on the next run of the paradox loop (imagine what would happen if the next Defiant grabbed was a spore drive equipped Crossfield for instance).

+1 - They really need to CUT DOWN on the ridiculous amounts of visual spam, and the base level of Bloom on some of the VFX.
