Please put an end to the morons constantly setting off mines, grenades, pattern enhancers, etc. in the common non-battle areas; and otherwise abusing their captain's powers to block things and/or harass other players.
That is all, thank you.
There is always a cry baby. OP is defintly one. News for you OP Mines, Grenades, and Weapons are DISABLED in common areas. So ya learn the game. I think you may be confucing party packs and the noise makers THAT ARE NOT CAPTAINS POWERS! In the mean time grow a pair.
Reading comprehension is fundamental, squid. Spelling is, too.
Be glad your not on console. With the way you have to set abilities on the radial menus to auto- activate to make them usable in combat all you have to do is accidentally hit the melee button (rather easy) to set off a string of abilities in any social zone. At least on PC you can't walk around ESD setting off solar gateways and stuff.
You used to be able to do solar gateways anywhere, it was a beautiful sunny time for STO.
These still work some places, and should be disabled in EVERY social zone.
Replying to an earlier post in this thread, on the subject of mines in the Arena:
That's not grieving. That's players playing the game with a specialised and non-tac build. I've been in instances where my engineer was the only one who kept the team going. Those mines were necessary there.

Yeah, mines can be used strategically when your team needs a breather between rounds, my main is an Engi and I keep a mine mod equipped when running with fleetmates in case we need a break. Just used one today 'cuz someone needed to go to the bathroom. What I'm talking about is deploying mines between Every. Single. Round. Even when everyone's at 100% health. That's not strategy, that's making the potentially long queue just plain ridiculously long. I mean, if it's a mechanic that lasts long enough to get someone to the bathroom, that's just silly.

Yep it is annoying, disco balls, security escorts being beamed down every 5 mins, fire extinguishers etc. just be grateful the ability spam in hub areas are not as bad as ESO.

When you really need to get to a bank/mail console and don't want to go to the social zones, you can try your fleet mine. If it's leveled enough they do have bank/exchange access.
Now a LTS and loving it.
Just because you spend money on this game, it does not entitle you to be a jerk if things don't go your way.
I have come to the conclusion that I have a memory like Etch-A-Sketch. I shake my head and forget everything.
If you want to get a taste of what TRUE, ACTUAL griefing can be, create a Second Life account and log on there for a while.
Some people there have the power to crash the entire grid if they want to. Compared to this, the griefing level of STO wannabe-cool-kidz is quite laughable, believe me.

I've never understood why people feel get annoyed by this kind of stuff.
There was a person talking to the NPC I needed to interact with, and in order to get to that NPC, I had to move slightly to the right. This kind of griefing is uncalled for and cryptic should implement a fix asap.
I was going to offer some advice, but after seeing the following posts offering advice of their own, and the OP responses of him sticking his fingers in his ears, It would just be a waste.
No, the gentleman was detailing griefing. Very different to "things I don't like to see."
I love it when people try to overlay their own facts on top of the truth. This isn't what I said at all.
When it comes to harmless things like uniforms or outfits or tails where they don't belong, I do exactly what you suggest and ignore it. But the rest of your narrative is "fake news."

Or get on your Nandi or Maurader and you don't have to interact with anyone.

Yes, well - since those others were not offering advice & just talking smack, I guess your "non-advice" reply is totally appropriate. Isn't this is like one of those situations where you should have "looked away" or "ignored it" but you chose to comment anyway?
You know there are other places you can go besides DS9, ESD and Drozana. Most are almost desolate. lso, you could save 40-50mil and get a D'Kora unless you have a Nandi or Nagus. If you got a bank roll, go big and get a Cell Ship
I only go to the places you mentioned when necessity dictates, otherwise, I am far far away. D!ckheads have found that, too, and there are usually only one or two instances in which to avoid them.
Watch your language.
I always do. If you did, you wouldn't say things that aren't true.

And the example explosions above are meant to be the Forum equivalent of what this Thread was all about.

So this is how you deal with the inevitable Zombie Apocalypse.
You know my position on these bloddy things, but in this case: Go for it.

Heaven forbid someone wear a uniform in bright colors the OP doesn't like. I bet all hell will break loose.

Learning to do one of the following will benefit you in life. Learn to think for yourself, or learn to read.
