I've never seen anyone actually get bothered by stuff like that in social zones.
I see it every time we try to have a dance party on Risa. The classic mistake the targets do is to start insulting the griefers in chat believing that will throw them off or scare them away. In reality it only confirms to the griefers that they have succeeded in creating an emotional response in their targets. That reaction is precisely what they're looking for.
praise be to Ori, LOL
Ori chronicles are on Stargate 1's final season, and the final movie reveal the mystery of "Grandfather Paradox" in the end. best surprising end of series.
yeah, that Risa dance party, they can get interupt by disco ball used by griefers.

Huh, I never realised a disco ball could do that.
The Ori were actually in the last 2 seasons of SG-1. Ba'al's arrogance was his undoing that day, rather than having his mooks secure their surroundings before calling him through he followed right behind them. Mitchell's there waiting and greets him with a headshot!
You do realize I'm supporting you here, don't you? I apologize if my message wasn't clear enough on that point.
It is much clearer now, thank you.
If they really wanted to go a step further (and make even the griefers happy), they could open up a place where they could go and duel to thier hearts content, an arena of sorts where they could use all of their powers to do whatever they please...
I hate ground. i only ever do it when I must for events. I would likely be very bad in any kind of pug. I used to show visuals on my toon until someone pointed out that it made me look like Buzz Lightyear.

Not showing us that pic is griefing us! Reported!
Sometimes I think I play STO just to have something to complain about on the forums.

You shouldnt be hateful nicko
If griefers would expend their time & energy in there, I will come to love it.
nope, Repe, i do have a book on orionians and few books for other aliens.
orionians really do have 4 races, like earth people have several ethnic races, also i am charter member of starfleet that handled sci-fi cons.
i can prove it, but now, i am out of town at this time to link a book and pics as soon i get home by tuesday.
i didnt say bleached white.
or you can look up on Bing.com and they have several and may lead you to find a book in hurry or wait til i get back. just type orionians.
I do have to ask though. WTH is an Orionian? I've heard of Orions, but Orionians?
That's what we call a "red flag" that someone's talking through their hat.
"Risans" or "Risians" gets stuck in my craw, too. The former is correct, but the latter is what is universally used. The Planet is question is Risa, not Risia, so there's an exta i being added incorrectly.

Like Canadians are from Canadia?
Russians vs. Russiaians?
I'm sure somebody out there has a complete list for BOTH sides of this, whether it's "-ians" or "-ans." What I've read since this post tells me that there are really no rules, and it is largely based on what the natives call themselves. So, perhaps the best person who can say definitively would be the one who first wrote about people from the planet Risa for Trek.
If no valid entries are submitted, this contest will close after 72 hours of this post (12:45 PM Coordinated Universal Time on the 5th of March).
The time limit has been reached and the contest has closed with no entries.
While this was an unofficial contest, there seem to have been questions regarding the sincerity of the contest and it's prize. The contest and prize are genuine and as there was no winner, or attempts to win the prize, it will be given to the author of a random comment on this thread. The winner will be announced soon!

Can we nominate a poster? If so, wylonus gets my vote. Most civil, clearly deserving of a cat. And their avatar could be described as a "tabbit" as well.

Do you feel better now? I hear that confession is good for the soul.
We have of a sort?
In my experience those players who are eager to show off their gear in social zones are particularly bad in using the same in none-social zones.

The winner was determined by using the in-game dice roll feature which resulted in 57. The 57th post was by repetitiveepic. Congratulations on your cat prize.
