I think they should make the Borg the big enemy as it always was has in star trek right now they seem like the least worked on, their not as cool as they used to be.
So i think we should give the Borg some love and make the Borg great again
Yeah... the downfall of the Borg that started in Voyager has continued into STO. I think back when the Borg Red Alert first went live it was something almost special, definitely felt like I was trying to unite with other captains to defeat an overwhelming terror. Especially when that cigar ship showed up and things got real. Had to be consistently mindful of the regeneration probes trying to heal the doomtube, while also keeping an eye out for the vaporizing energy balls of death.
Now? Now everyone just pumps out so much damage that cubes melt in seconds and there's no strategy left to defeat the cigar: just shoot it until it dies, basically ignore everything else. I've had literally one Borg RA since September that was actually challenging, and some of the most fun I've had in STO. Entire team was compromised of characters just starting to reach endgame, no one with crazy DPS builds. As soon as I realized what was going on (everyone had grown accustomed to players being able to just kill it in seconds and didn't know the old strategy) I switched back to the old ways of fighting it, informing others to kill the regen probes when they saw them and avoiding/shooting down the energy balls of death.
It worked, and we finally managed to take the big TRIBBLE down... with literally one second left on the clock.
And that was the kind of "epic" experience I love from the Borg, but it's also one that I haven't had all that often. Sadly, powercreep has sapped some of the fun out of the "MMO" part of an otherwise stellar (pun intended) RPG.
Build a neutral zone and make the Undine pay for it.
Norway and Yeager dammit... I still want my Typhoon and Jupiter though. JJ Trek The Kelvin Timeline is just Trek and it's fully canon... get over it. But I still prefer TAR.

Some, I assume are good monsters. But fluidic space isn't sending its best.

Mirror Borg ? Sneaking into our universe for some easy kills? :O
This feels a little cheesey after we (relatively) recently wrapped up a Mirror Universe arc, but at the same time, that sounds like a very serious threat that I'd love to challenge.
Give the Borg Feedback Pulse and some ability to once again adapt to energy weapons, then watch the rage. I'm am being serious too. In space they haven't been a threat for many years now.
"You don't want to patrol!? You don't want to escort!? You don't want to defend the Federation's Starbases!? Then why are you flying my Starships!? If you were a Klingon you'd be killed on the spot, but lucky for you.....you WERE in Starfleet. Let's see how New Zealand Penal Colony suits you." Adm A. Necheyev.

I always envisioned mirror borg as sort of a galactic police, defenders of the weak type deal that only assimilated aggressive factions and willing volunteers

i would add an ability so they could assimilate your ship and use it ageist other people

I imagined them along the lines of 'Shoot first, assimilate later and adapt very slowly." Of course we'll need a Borg King.
Honestly it would not take much to make the borg a threat, and I am sure they could come up with a story arc to explain how it might have happened. For me give them a stacking buff/debuff mechanic that gives them back the idea of them being able to adapt once more to our ships, which could work that they impose either a shield pen or shield hardness de-buff on their primary target, while they also gain a buff that improves their own shield's an also hull's resistance/hardness against the most common type of energy damage being used against them. Add in some counter play to this via using different boff/captain abilities that reduce/negate/wipe these debuffs/buffs an that would make the Borg more interesting to fight against. Now this mechanic idea to improve the Borg is doable, but how welcome a change it would be, as well as how possible it is the devs would do it is up in the air.
I'm hoping for some kind of revamp to old sets like the famous assimilated set. Maybe they could give it a warp core and a minor boost to the 2 piece set bonus and a major boost to the 3 piece set bonus. That would be totally awesome.
The reason China doesn't have any Borg is because China has a huge wall.
Na china are just proto Borg, they assimilate everything they come in contact with, just have yet to fully assimilate any large scale machinery yet.

The Borg are an overused enemy in most TNG era games.
Star Trek: Armada - main antagonist
Star Trek: Armada II - major antagonist of the Fed campaign
Star Trek: Borg - main antagonist
Star Trek Away Team - one mission enemy at least
Star Trek Voyager: Elite Force - couple missions with Borg
Star Trek Elite Force II - First enemy of the game
Star Trek Legacy - main antagonist
Star Trek: Starfleet Command III - not in main story, but a free play faction
Star Trek Online - The first major endgame antagonist, has their own arc, and features in the tutorial and has the Defera Invasion Zone
I don't find the Borg to be an awe inspiring enemy after all these encounters across multiple platforms. If anything... they've gotten a bit stale as a TNG era antagonist due to overexposure.

I strongly disagree. If we stick to canon the Borg were only an obstacle in the beginning when they were new in the TNG era. Later on we clearly saw a strong Star Fleet dealing easily with a Borg cube during First Contact. By the time of Voyager’s finale End Game we had a single Federation ship one shooting fleets of cubes on its own.
Given the fact that STO is set in that time or even thereafter the Borg are implemented precisely as they should be.
We could use an elite mode of the classic borg STF, yes, but other than a transition of HSE critter values to compensate for power creep is not really wanted here. Given the popularity of the Borg STF over the others I strongly advice against any changes that address the core mechanics of those maps as well as fighting this opponent.
