for some reason I can now connect without a VPN..Let me gegt in game and see how it goes..But still skeptical here..End of the day its cryptics job to sort out stuff with their ISP and not the other way around..

I found it to be okay before the previous maintenance. Started playing (again) a few days before but now it disconnects at practically every loading screen and randomly during missions, forcing me to log in over and over and over and over and...

It's becoming a serious annoyance and I'm getting rather sick of it.

Makes no difference what settings are selected, what avenue you play the game on (Arc or Steam), whether other programs are running. Nothing. It's the servers. And they need to bloody sort it out.

No response on Steam or Facebook about it and I highly doubt they even really care so long as people are still playing and buying Zen.

Ok has cryptic ditched COGENT??????????? Cause now I can connect to STO and patch so freakishly fast since the sinxe the 19th/20th and the SNR's have gone and so are the DC's..Also in the tracert I dont see COGENT no more on the past couple of traces I did..Will monitor this for another week and update..But has cryptic ditched COGENT???????????

been getting it frequently within the past week on ps4, yet non of my other online games (eso and warframe) have any issues, if it continues to SNR over the next week i will strongly consider deleting STO and Neverwinter, at least Zenimax is pretty vocal about ESO server issues on their forum and are usually quick in fixing the issues, cryptic on the other hand... should sack their current server team and hire new staff asap.

I don't think so. I just ran a trace and I still hit Cogent left and right. My connection is good though.

I don't think so. I just ran a trace and I still hit Cogent left and right. My connection is good though.

Wierd..I still dont see COGENT, not seen cogent since the 19th/20th..And for some reason this is the first time I am seeing hop10 onwards below 280ms!!! (maybe becaue traffic is low) but who knows..And yes I am from the far east, thus the high ms but still very playable now....My SNR's and DC's are all gone and I am monitoring this for a week to see if it is stable..

SNRs and DCs are still present, just not as prevalent. I'm down to aboubt once an hour. Or, at least once every other attempt to enter a Deep Space Encounter.

My fleeties and I are getting a ton of SNRs in game. Locations all over the world, UK, Europe, North America and even Australia. All getting the same results.
It isn't lag, just SNRs that keep kicking in and out. When it isn't in the timer, it's smooth as silk.

I am suspecting something at cryptics ISP server farm went south again..I cant connect without a VPN..

crypticstudios.com (which the launcher need access to) was down just now, at least for me. But those website status checkers claimed that they were up all the time.

I can't access support.arcgames.com at the moment. Server maintainance is scheduled at 7am PST. So I don't know what's going on.
Last I read up, STO have a history of DDOS before? Is it happening again?

Well whatever it is, SNRs, disconnects and login failures are back like it used to be... Is there absolutely nothing that can be done about this? From the frequency that these are happening, all the way back from several months ago, it sure seems there is none. Please prove me wrong.

I've been SNR-free since 2-3 patches ago, except during map transfers. Otherwise been stable like it used to be on the east coast.

Btw, for you console players, this thread is about the PC game servers. Console server is a completely separate server, you might want to start a new thread if you're having problems.

You guys are making one huge, fatal, horrible mistake. You're assuming Perfect World actually CARES about your experience. I'm a BETA-era preorder lifer. Believe me when I tell you they have ZERO concern for your feelings. Reporting issues to them only ends in them blaming you, your system, your wifi, your ethernet, YOU. It's never their fault and they don't owe you bug fixes. Their generosity allowed the game to keep existing, and you are ungrateful for not spending money in game. Think about it. Complaining is pointless because the devs don't care. No one above is listening. If you can't resolve it with your own gear it isn't going to get resolved ever. Not speaking in betterness or anything of the sort--just telling the truth. PWE despises it's Western market and seeks exclusively to exploit it as the cash cow it clearly is. Don't believe me? Look at the crafting system and tell me they actually care what you think.

Well this is the exact reason why they arent gonna get any $$$ from my pocket..They just dont care..I just got 6 SNR's in a row with 1-2 second gaps and then got kicked from the game..I will not invest in something that has pleasure to kick me out when it feels like or invest in something where I have to invest another service (VPN) to play decently..It aint gonna work..If they fix this then I'd invest but after seeing how long and how bad this issue is getting it aint gonna make me change my mind anytime in the near future..
