And for those who don't mind a ship being the size its creators say it is rather than the size a fan with protractor claims, a quick comparison:
Mmm hmm, that's like how I posted on other thread. She's a big one...
And honestly... given the beer brewery 'engine room' and the huge open space they tumbled around in Into Darkness, it HAS to be huge to hold those sets!
I went snooping aorund the net for info on the lockbox and it's like Cryptic wants to destroy my wallet. They may very well do it if the info is accurate.

Engineering asside, that section with the tumbling could very well have been in the ship's neck, even for a smaller ship.
I can't take it anymore! Could everyone just chill out for two seconds before something CRAZY happens again?!

Your pain runs deep.
Let us explore it... together. Each man hides a secret pain. It must be exposed and reckoned with. It must be dragged from the darkness and forced into the light. Share your pain. Share your pain with me... and gain strength from the sharing.
That Constitution nacelles are too big and not the right shape.
Keenser slipped a bunch of Cialis into the warp plasma when Scotty wasn't paying attention...
Voilà..., instant bigger nacelles that run for hours!

I'll wait until I see it ingame myself but it only looks slightly larger than that Intrepid. It also appears the decision to scale it came from above, not from the designers who would no doubt be building and scaling the ship from the original model and not from pieces of paper that directly contradict onscreen canon.
Either that or any AR characters in STO will be scaled to 4 metres in order for the scales to make sense.
Also remember these are the STO scales that brought you the Scimitar that out sizes most ships in the game for length, never mind with.
So there is near zero evidence the film version is Galaxy sized never mind the ingame one. So the correct and canon size remains the one which is calculated from the scale of the onscreen model i.e. ~350 metres.
Norway and Yeager dammit... I still want my Typhoon and Jupiter though. JJ Trek The Kelvin Timeline is just Trek and it's fully canon... get over it. But I still prefer TAR.

It's embarrassing how you can only post little drawings and mutterings of behind the scenes 'wants' rather than pictures of the actual onscreen model to support you little pet theory.
Please post pictures of tiny crew members being dwarfed by their viewscreen or little ant men running down, later exposed, corridors. You know, stuff from the film itself any not from some rather nice drawings.

On a non-size related comment. I really love this addition, it allows for a really good look at the ship in a way we didn't get in the films. If I have one criticism of the cinematography in the AR films it's the lack of time paid to let us drool over the models because of all the sweeping shots and shaky cam.

So, how long before we get the first thread loudly proclaiming that the Kelvin Timeline is another slap in the face because it's not Klingon or Romulan exclusive and it's just more Feddie stuff?
Don't be silly. It's a "slap in the face" BECAUSE it includes Klingon and Romulan stuff in a box.

This shot from Into Darkness clearly shows a corridor from the outside, which would give a good indication of how tall the decks are.
And there's a shot of Kirk and I believe Scotty running through those corridors for scale.
The problem with the AR Connie is that she was built with a similar size to the original in mind. So all of her features were scaled appropriately. At some point someone decided to scale her up, and they didn't bother to adjust any of the features.

Still, no matter, as I will never own one seeing it will be in a lockbox.
Just one thing, though. As this ship has been "scaled up" to look bigger than it actually is, just think for moment, about how big the Vengeance will be!!!

Yeah, the Kelvin Timeline seems more like it was designed to be flashy and fun; continuity and detail were a lower priority, so we ended up with some odd stuff going by. Whatever size Cryptic wants to make the thing, there it is...
With each passing day I wonder if I stepped into an alternate reality. The Cubs win the world series. Donald Trump is President. Britain leaves the EU. STO gets a dedicated PvP season. Engineers are "out of control" in STO.
Can we just settle for the fact that the new movies were highly inconsistent when it comes to the JJPrise's size? (as the movie people have pointed out, they changed dimensions several times for dramatic purposes)
I have a somekind of love/hate realtionship with the design.
It looks really grand and elegant from some perspectives, but misproportioned and bad from others.
I just hope that it will have some alternative parts or that it will at least give us the option to place the engineering hull more similar like the TOS constitution. (meaning less forward facing)
But anyway, i'm definitely going to buy one.

I must say that I really love the saucer, and the deflector dish is cool, too. But I am not that fond of the nacelles.

Looks good and I'm glad its big. I like them big. Now I just wonder how many blood sacrifices I'll have to do in order to please the rng gods and get the ship.

To be fair, I was trying to be fair and not really draw anymore attention to what exists out there.
The ship is fine, too.

The Intrepid seems further in the background though on that pic (I cant open the gallery at the moment)
