*Face palm* You mean to tell me, that instead of adding another faction to the game that has been requested hundreds of times, like say, The Cardassians, you are adding something that no one asked for and has no continuity with the actual game proper? Seriously? W...T...F? Ugh. I hate TOS. I binge watched the entire genre a while back (ALL of the Star Trek series) and I could barely suffer through the TOS ones. No thank you. What was asked for until it was pretty much forbiden from being posted anymore was the T6 connie request, somehow thats evolved into this expansion, if one can seriously call it that.
An "expansion" that doesn't have at least equal the amount of content for all existing toons is to my definition nothing of the sort.
They can call it what they want.
Apparently you missed many of the Threads I have started and a multitude of my posts over the last SIX Years about this very topic.
There has never been "more" of a call for this than what youve ever bothered to post on it, yourself or thread wise.
Your simply pounding drums, my objection isn't the era or it's content, however you and most anyone else constantly "sidestep" my real objection to this and just keep pounding your TOS expansion drums.

Pretty cool stuff, including models we haven't seen yet.
I like the way the Pioneer and Ranger include aspects of the NX-01 Enterprise.
Didn't notice that in the Official Release blog.
Also, it kinda-sorta incorporates the look of Doug Drexler's version of the Upgraded NX-01 for the 5th season of Enterprise that never happened.

I am looking forward to this...however I do have a question, for those of us with Lifetime accounts, will we be given the upgraded ships as we level as we always have, Or, are you planning on charging us for every ship and pack just so we can still enjoy the game in the ways we have gotten used to. I am just questioning what I am looking at as the only thing I have seen are packs and a trailer. Waiting on word about what Lifers get (if anything) and then I will know what to expect.

Anyone who says anything outside of a T6 connie, which is just as ridiculous in 2410 as the T'Varo is, or some FE going back into the TOS timeline and revisiting it has been asked for in many threads for 6yrs of this games history is doing nothing more than peddling hot air.
There has never been a huge outcry for some 2270 timeline based expansion in this game, don't buy it, it never happened.
One person drumming up some forum support for it over 6 yrs doesn't cut it.
Pretty cool stuff, including models we haven't seen yet.
New NPC character models, including Scotty and Chekov, further down the page too.
Of note is the fact that the Scotty NPC is wearing movie-era clothing.
... and Tarsus II as well as Gorn Rock locations.

I have "never" wanted nor asked for either faction, i simply commented they had been asked for repeatedly, as opposed to this ghost lobby group that has been pulpiting for a TOS expansion for 6 long yrs.

Feel free to ask for any more clarifications, im game, well until they lock the thread for getting too far out in left field.
If i were you i would pick someone else to debate with, the scores in my favor at the moment.
I have a few questions:
1) Will old captains be able to play the new episode arc, or will this be locked to temporal recruits?
2) How many new missions are each of the factions going to get for this?
3) Will temporal recruits be able to play both these new missions, and the old?
4) Other than the ships in the pack, how many new ships are the factions going to get? (Will Klingons and Romulans get any?)
5) Can we get a more specific date than "summer" for the launch of the new expansion?
My guess, for what it is worth (next to nothing):
1) No, I think the new episode arc will be limited to the new "faction", which is TOS era Starfleet.
2) I think they will be only open to the new "faction."
3) I think the new faction characters will time warp to take on the common missions after completing the new mission arc.
4) I think there will be at least one free ship at each level up to level 40 (or 50) where the current factions stop getting free ships.
Pretty cool stuff, including models we haven't seen yet.
Okay, so I followed that link and looked at the ships there, which included the Wells class, that was a lock box ship.
I'm confused now, Has it been added to the agents of tomorrow pack too? If it has, will the KDF and Romies get their temporal equivalent ?
And while we're discussing temporal ships, How's the Annorax gonna fit in in all of this? Will it be able to use the Eternity or the Timeship raider's class consoles?
Will the temporal ships from the Temporal Agents pack be able to use the existing temporal consoles like the tipler time rewinder thingy, or the manheim devise ?
I keep seeing complaints about this expansion not having content - or not having "equal" content - for existing characters. Every time I read that, I want to hit my head on the wall.
The game's had two expansions - Romulus and Delta. Romulus, the better received by far of the two, was about 90% faction-specific content for a new faction. The only major block of content for others was Nimbus, which was probably the weakest part of the release.
This is an expansion in the spirit of Legacy of Romulus, and I'm very much looking forward to it.

No. Lifers never get anything in the expansions for free. They might add something like new uniforms or at best a new unique ship during the next sale after the expansion goes live as a promo, but we have never gotten anything from the expansions themselves before, and it's unlikely they will start now.

That's not EXACTLY true. They did a survey asking what we wanted, the results said Voyager, and they gave us a metric ton of Voyager which the people on these boards promptly crapped all over. So basically, they look at the boards, but they now know whatever they do, it's not going to make us happy so they take that into consideration as well.
Not going to lie. I kind of wish that we could take our admirals back to TOS. I have a depraved wish of taking my eclipse cruiser back there to cause mass chaos. Scotty's head would explode.

I'm still in my thirties, but I watched all the TOS shows and movies. They've been in syndication for like ever AND on Netflix, so one can't really insinuate that someone has to be "old" to enjoy TOS.
