The TOS Uniforms are TORN, probably not a big deal to you but I like them.
(and I believe have been requested in Havlock's Tailor Thread on many an occasion)
The Enterprise, we have been informed by TacoFang, is a brand new element for the game built from the ground up.
(by Thomas The Cryptic Cat, AND if you compare the two pics you posted you can see the obvious differences)
SO, that leaves just TWO Items out of 22 (plus whatever They haven't let us know about yet) that are repeats.
Not quite as horrible as you are trying to make it out to be.

Was this decision made for you by CBS because the next series will be TOS era? I've heard the TOS era bit from a person working on the new series project, so no need to hide it. I'm just curious if they pushed you to make it the next expansion to help them sell the series.
When I saw the price tag for the packs... I know they have to make a living but WOW. £100 you guys are either dedicated or mislead..
Also how can anyone look at old customers with a straight face knowing they are reselling old assets?
I bet CBS and Paramount are laughing their way to the bank.
<Suit yourself hater, we are buying this awesome stuff!!!!>

The Connie model is NOT the same, you need to go check your image vs what's in the new ones. The rest, sure, but I have seen ZERO posts saying that they aren't or complaining about it before yours, so not sure why you are even bringing it up.
At a 52% discount (before any extras they add in later on) a little duplication is OK. Certainly not grounds to go around insulting the other people here because you think there isn't enough value to make it worth the cost. If you don't think it's enough, you don't have to pay - period. The expansion content is free as per usual, so no big deal.

Oh, look, nothing for Romulan and KDF players. Why am I not surprised?
Lazy TRIBBLE.
Dont assume that just because they use the term Federation on those T6 ships that they cannot be cross faction. In the 25th century the Federation and KDF are all one big happy family as part of the Federation. *crosses fingers and toes this is the case*
But I do not want essentially Starfleet/Fed ships for my Romulan and Klingon captains. I want Romulan and Klingon ships. I don't play Fed characters for a reason. Their funneling us all into essentially a single Fed faction is not what I desire in this game, and it's causing me to play less and less. Which also means I am spending less and less on the game, and as it stands have no interest in this "expansion".
I'm sorry you're not excited by this news, but don't give up hope...
We have only heard about a very small part of the total package, perhaps there is yet hope for Klingon & Romulan players down the road.
I am trying to, and when I first read the words expansion, I was briefly exited. I even though that if the 2 factionless fed ships were based on a Rom and KDF design that would be cool, except then really it's just the Feds getting KDF and ROM stuff. The slow death of everything non-Fed/Starfleet just makes me sad, and this expansion is just pushing us even further into that direction.

It's actually ThomasTheCrypticCat who did the ship model. Taco is an environment artist, so if he did anything on it, it was revamping the interior assets.

Well you can put a happy smile on your face with sunglasses and tally count me as your first person that has a problem of selling old C-Store items. Giving them for free, I have no problem. Selling them as part as a package in order to wear them again is.
Wait this is a discount... I feel for the one that buys this at full retail... LOL
Also I wasn't insulting anyone. I added no NAMES. If you want to be a social warrior and hit me with your keyboard that's your problem not mine. It's an opinion, don't need to get worked up about it. Stop making it out like I bullied you. I didn't quote any of your posts and bash it. I am sure you make up for it by posting another five complaining to me how wrong I am and insisting it's of value.
It's called PREACHING. Forcing your views onto others and telling them not to have their own.
I wonder if people are confusing TNG era with TOS era? TOS was an extremely limiting, gender biased product of the 1960's where female officers were relegated to Bridge Officer duties and they all wore demeaning "uniforms" consisting of miniskirts go-go boots and beehive hairdos. I had forgotten "Enterprise" series, but is it canon for TOS since it takes place quite a few years prior to TOS? Just how TOS do they intend to make this? I welcome authenticity myself. No other races except Rom Klink Gorn Orion Vulcan. And the most dangerous race of all: Humans. No transwarp.
Well I bought the pack and you don't get the ships on existing toons or right away. The sad part is the purchase page doesn't give me a clear clue as to wither this is a pre-order since the button says "Add to Cart" or anything near it saying the pack is a pre-order. Where's my ships?
I was going for that. But I am serious. I wouldn't pay for this, but it's a good thing it's free expansion. Although if it wasn't I still happily not pay for it. TOS isn't my thing. Although I will be paying £2 to get my hands on Dark Mirror book. Or ISS prefix for my ships.

That's not EXACTLY true. They did a survey asking what we wanted, the results said Voyager, and they gave us a metric ton of Voyager which the people on these boards promptly crapped all over. So basically, they look at the boards, but they now know whatever they do, it's not going to make us happy so they take that into consideration as well.
I think the forum will always allow you to get some useful feedback, but you can't overrate it. Ultimately, it tends to be that the dissatisfied customers are just more likely to report than those that are satisfied. It's the nature of things.
The people on the boards are all individuals and have different preferences, and often opposing ones.
I am not a big fan of the temporal shenengians, voyager or the TOS aesthetic. But I am fairly certain that there are people that love this.
I think anyone that thinks that there was not sufficient evidence that players wanted TOS content seems to me ignorin the context of things.
People asked for an endgame Connie (or workarounds to get something at least similar to an endgame Connie) for a long time. Of course most didn't bother to request a TOS expansion - since the endgame Connie was already such a sternyl denied request for such a long time, asking for this would be completely unrealistic.
But that dones't mean there wasn't a big potential market for it. I always believed the claim that CBS made the endgame Connie impossible, because there was no good reason for Cryptic to not release it to the C-Store (or even better, as a lockbox!) and make loads of money from it.
Apparently however, the 50th year Anniversary makes unexpected things possible.
Agree fully. Note I didn't say they don't listen to us, but there's no way that the DR ****storm didn't have some effect on policy at Cryptic as far as forum feedback goes. There's an old rule about giving the people what they want, even when the people don't know what that is, and it applies more than the usual amount to MMO player forums.
As for the Connie in a lockbox, I think they know that they might very well end up coming back from the weekend to a burned out building if they did that. :P
Just because people wanted VOY-related content didn't mean Cryptic had to rehash every single solitary plot Berman and Braga ever crapped out. Who the hell asked for Kazon, seriously? After having to solve all Neelix's problems because his entire sh*thead species is too Prophetsdamn lazy to do their damn jobs, I half-expected an episode dealing with the salamanders from "Threshold" for Valen's sake! And if you want to do ENT-related content, how about fleshing out its species in the present instead of resuming that completely phoned-in Temporal Cr*p War plot that even B&B themselves never wanted to do?

You can have an option without insulting everyone around you, you know (and yes, you CAN insult people without naming names). Most people actually go out of their way to try to not insult people since they are more likely to respect their opinions when stating them in a rational manner. For example, I have no respect whatsoever for you, so your opinion means literally nothing to me.

We even get to fire an unlimited amount of torpedoes and repair our ship instantly without needing any resources. Voyager was just Lost In Space: The Next Generation, complete with Seven of Nine playing the part of Robbie the Robot - what did you expect?
I kid, of course. Sort of. Maybe.
I mean seriously, the temporal cold war plotline was far better thought out than every plotline on voyager combined. I am not saying that the temporal cold war plot was good, but it DOES make for a much better story base to work from than anything Voyager came up with over 7 years.

Yeah.. The Temporal War.... It's so boring it gave me amnesia (or sometimes I wish it did, it's that bad). Getting tired of seeing Back To The Future EPs. Why don't they use under used villains? Like Armus or Gary Mitchell? They are just begging to be used.
Or how about alternate reality set in Yesterday's Enterprise. I think the TOS will be interesting though. But if it doesn't have Mirror Sulu with those uniforms I am not sold.

I'll tell you what, let me say exactly what you said in your original post, except like a rational person would do it.
"I'm concerned about the value of this new pack. It seems like a lot of money considering that there are several items in it that are already available in the game, such as the TOS uniforms and the original Enterprise ship."
You see? Two sentences, and no mention of other people. No needing to be defensive about what you are saying, no weird unrelated images and long, long line break segments that make your post purposely difficult to read and easy to misinterpret. When you post in a manner that is purposely confusing and expects to be attacked, every response to it looks like you are being attacked even if it isn't.
It also doesn't help to immediately jump on anyone who responds with even more of the same, and then accuse someone whose posts literally only counter things you say with facts with being on the payroll of the company. That just makes you sound paranoid. It's OK to be wrong, and it's OK for your opinions to not line up with mine. Just breathe.
If my opinion meant nothing to you, you wouldn't be here continuing to rant about it insulting you, now would you?
"My Tricorder is reading a temporal contradiction anomaly, Captain. It's off the charts!!!!"
I don't care if you find my opinion invalid or offensive (it never was). Alter it in your brain when you read it if you're that sensitive and let it be and take yours with you. Now your preaching about facts... I thought it was opinion. All aboard the hypocrite train!! Choo-- Choo!!!. >_<
Is there going to be Klingons, Orions, Gorn etc....as well as Romulan and Remans...along with the "normal" Fed races....all under the banner of "Starfleet"?
And this faction going to become the only faction in the game?
IOW, should we all plan on making new characters from scratch to continue playing?
ADDITION: Will they have their own "Agents of Yesterday" fleets, or can they be joined and assisting KDF Fleets, or are they Federation fleets only?
And are "Temporal Recruits" are only new characters in the new faction?

When you post in a manner that is purposely confusing and expects to be attacked, every response to it looks like you are being attacked even if it isn't.
It also doesn't help to immediately jump on anyone who responds with even more of the same, and then accuse someone whose posts literally only counter things you say with facts with being on the payroll of the company. That just makes you sound paranoid. It's OK to be wrong, and it's OK for your opinions to not line up with mine. Just breathe.
Get off your false horse of justice and stop.
