Take a good hard look at the galaxy map  Although I'm not 100% certain that the sector blocks 1:1 represent all of known/explored space, I'm willing to bet that even in 2410, most of the Alpha and Beta quadrants also remain unexplored.

    "Helm, take us out!"
    "Uh... course, Captain?"

Oh, I'm well aware that there is a lot of Alpha and Beta Quadrant left to search, especially the Alpha Quadrant. And if I recall a certain episode, didn't they go beyond the edge of the galaxy and a couple of really nice people got some strange powers and then get all high and mighty on themselves? And I also recall a similar crew breach the centre of the galaxy. I mean after all, why does God need a starship? So yeah I definitely think there is plenty left to explore :)

But I'd really like to have a chance to re-run some of that older content too. Just sayin.

actually, going beyond the rim caused two people to develop powers on kirk's ship, one good, the other evil...

ok i have not seen this question asked but if it has i appologise but will we ever get the 25th century mirror universe uniforms and will we ever get to use the knifes that the females get to carry as i think in close combat it would be cool if we could pull out the knife and literally stab the enemy in the back ROFLMAO

Never bring a knife to a phaser fight. :P

hey now I would march my entire bridge crew to the airlock just to have a decent blade klinks get bat'leth's as something they can get pretty early on it would be nice to have a usable combat knife and not the tholian or nausican swords besides the c store enterprise mirror uniform has a belt that has a knife lol

Just a matter of patience. They seem to be working their way through the tier 5 catalog. Frankly considering how the updates to the canon designs have been going the Nebula may be in the next batch just based on how it shares parts with the Galaxy.

I hardly call the conclusion to the Iconian war good. As a returning player, having the level walls during the delta quadrant missions was more annoying than anything I could think of. I went back to the Dyson Sphere until I was 60 just to stop hitting the walls. The patrol missions, yea.... nice fillers. Couldnt think of other ways we could help the alliance? How about actually fighting a war with the vaadwaur rather than patrol here, defend these picket ships, only very few missions actually made sense and the Short Iconian War.... It looks like the Klingons and Federation immediately folded. As a returning player, I found it hard to redo Midnight. I thought it was down well up until Iconia. The TRIBBLE choices, and inability to perform the ACTUAL mission briefing was bad. No matter what choices I made, still the exact same outcome. How about giving us the proper choices, but hey, Mission Failed if I choose to slaughter the Iconians. At least I would take pleasure in knowing, I did the mission. But being forced to save them regardless of your choices was pointless. Why give the illusion of choice if it is just that, an illusion. Scrap any future choices we get to choose.

I find it hard to be excited for New Dawn when returning to experience all the changes, I wish I didn't. Just Level Walls, fake choices, and just an overall, negative experience with this Season. Why should I stay for Season 11 when season 10 and 10.5 felt dull and boring. Well maybe I am being too hard on the Delta Missions. The non patrol missions were good. But being given missions to go and do patrols to "show them what teamwork is about" how about having me take a fleet and fight the vaadwaur? Defend a system that is under attack and join in on the ground? It feels like the best war I went though was the Klingon-Federation War when I started playing back in 2013. I still need to redo the klingon since there was a great deal of changes there. But I am not being overly exicted for Season 11. Just everything I have encounted since returning to play, it felt lack luster. VERY LACK LUSTER and BORING. I hope Season 11 adds fun for me.

If the pattern continues, we'll get another 3-pack. but the blog post suggested that escorts are next, then sci. So B'Rel/Defiant/T'Varo then Nebula/Varanus/Ha'nom.

Vesta's a 3-pack ship. What would it be matched with(to make a 9-pack) for KDF and Rom?

I'm not sure it'd get a 3 pack tier 6 version, or a 9 pack bundle. I just have a hunch that it'll be the next fed Sci ship to get the treatment. Though it is just a hunch and not set in stone anywhere.

None of the T5 3-ship bundles have seen a refit yet (well maybe except the galaxy bundle but I'm thinking more along the lines of the Vesta/Odyssey/Kumari/etc). I wonder how will they go about it in the end...
    • +1 T6 ship, increasing the family size to 4
    • Or +3 T6 ships, doubling the family size

I'm hoping for the first to be honest.
    1. On the practical side, zen-wise, peeps would come out cheaper and still get a new hull mat and new customization. ^^
    2. A zen ship console set comprised of SIX different uni consoles would kinda sound ludicrous (I know they are totally optional but usually set bonuses still come with stuff like this). A 4 piece set would make more sense

I'm expecting the second. why? because T6 is an upgrade. and a single ship can't do everything the 3-pack can.

Arguably the illusion of choice was to maintain the suspense. However clearly once we met the Iconians and ran into Kagran the idea that we were simply going to go through with the mission was hardly a foregone conclusion.

I can understand the idea of the Romulans or Klingons going through with the mission, but for Starfleet Officer there was really only one choice. Choosing NOT to commit genocide when given the chance is easily the most Star Trek answer there is. So it's commit genocide and not be certain how the future you're returning to will play out or not commit suicide and allow the Iconians the opportunity to return to the species they used to be.

Unless they gave it like a LtCdr Uni slot.

But the actual issue is the console slots though.

heh, yeah, if we had killed the Iconians in the past.... the galaxy would have been very different.

But yeah, I can't think of any reason they wouldn't make Vesta a 3-pack.

I can. T6 versions wouldn't come with the consoles the T5 versions do, and it'd probably harm sales in the long run. Who's going to fork out for a T6 three pack when they also have to fork out for a T5 three pack to get the consoles. I know I wouldn't rebuy a three pack at T6 level, but if they made a single T6 Vesta science only variant, I'd probably buy it as I do love my Vesta.

This is the kicker, if we can go back on time, why not go back and dont allow Sela do the bad deed, she did. Just throw her in the brick and make peace with the Iconians in the past.

Actually.... they could just make a second console set that has it's own group bonus. Then allow use of the old console set on the new ships. But of course there still remains the issue of what the Romulan and KDF version will be....

True, that is a possibility. I'm still not sure if I could bring myself to buy another three pack of them haha, one I may push the boat out for though. As for the KDF and Roms, it's possible they could add in two new KDF and Rom science vessels as counterparts or just not release KDF and Rom ships at the same time. Wouldn't be the first time, already several more Fed T6 ships than either of the other factions have.

Maybe their "Insurrection" Event lead to a different outcome than ours and now the youth fountain radiation of that nebula is available to the rich and powerful?

And it seems Bajorans in general age well - the arbiter that handled the case of Curzon Dax apparent betrayal was 100 years and looked like a 60 year old human woman or something like that.
I'd forgotten about that, but that is true that the Bajoran lifespan may be longer than the human one. We humans seem to be pretty lowly in that regard in the Trek universe.
Is there any race OTHER than Ocampans which ages faster than humans?

How about Jem'Hadar? Grown-up in three days, not sure what the (natural) upper limit may be though.

After 5 years of STO, I think I'm in the group of people who find it harder to be overwhelmed.

The banality of Star Trek Online has put me right dab in the center of ambivalence. I'd love nothing more than to be amazed and thrilled at upcoming news, but lately I see a lot of style and a lot less substance. Which is good, since I like shiny things and I do love my bread and circuses.

I see a lot of pandering and doublespeak, and that disappoints me. I love Star Trek Online, but I also love innovation.

My initial impression is this is a New Dawn in mediocrity.

So, we'll see where this goes. I'd love to have my preconceptions challenged.
