I like the Omega but it won't matter if we get the same old fighters or shuttles as hanger pets.
Frigets / escorts are the ONLY way to go. Something with some real teeth like Aquarius escorts or similar.
Quad phaser cannons, phaser turrets, quantum torpedos and a point defence system.
Let's be honest, Trendy, this outcome was practically inevitable.
It's almost too good of a set-up.
There's already tinfoilhead-talk about how it was all engineered to be exactly that.
For once, I tend to agree with them...

W-wait. 3 hangar bays?!? Please tell me that's only an artist's interpretation of what this'll look like.
Well, I'd be okay with it if it IS the first 3-hangar Carrier. But... it's a little unbelievable given that there's no precedent for that yet.
I highly doubt that. Probablly only the design inspired from the real life carriers. The launch bays from sides are for launching fighters, while the one in the middle is for landings. Just like carriers of today have 2 runways/catapolts and 1 landing runway.
I like both designs and it was a tough choice in the end it came down to the impulse streams I just don't like when ships just have one especially big ships
Omega can handle more traffic in my opinion, and that capacity could be demonstrated in missions where these ships - aside from their obvious primary function - could assist evacuations, transport refugees, or deliver supplies.
Very nice design
Uhh... @pwlaughingtrendy is it just me, or the website article for the current "Epsilon vs Omega" poll says "Alpha VS Gamma"?

Yep... looks like Im not going to be spending money on this game for a Federation Carrier... Epsilon appears to be losing to all the Jupiter fanboys....

Yeah, you're probably right.
I just hope the ship at least has good Science seating.
I love the comments in here I'm seeing that basically go "I don't like this, so I don't want any of you to have it either!" Doing the Star Trek Spirit proud, folks.
I voted Delta because, well, it's different from the rest of the design options. Plus, I rather like the mission pod up top.
Still, my prediction is that the final round will be a pseudo-Biblical match up. In fact, this Carrier should have an Inertia of 21 and a Turn Rate of 6... I am the Alpha and the Omega, the winner and runner-up. I will give unto him that is a Fed the Carrier of the pets of the hangar, freely.
...mostly because we all see what's coming and I wanted to throw Epsilon a bone. Oh, and to amend my own prediction there, in addition to the Inertia of 21 and Turn of 6, it shall be called the Revelation-class. I'll also admit that it probably won't be given freely, but rather at a cost of 3000 Zen plus an optional Fleet Ship Module.
With each passing day I wonder if I stepped into an alternate reality. The Cubs win the world series. Donald Trump is President. Britain leaves the EU. STO gets a dedicated PvP season. Engineers are "out of control" in STO.
I'm surprising myself here. I was initially AGAINST Epsilon, but after seeing the new pics. I have to go Epsilon. Omega is way to FLAT for a carrier in my opinion. A carrier should be bulky. And Epsilon has that bulk.
Also the nacelles on Omega are way too spaced out.
Also the Epsilon reminds me of battlestar galactica in its look. And thats what sold me, even though I'm sure epsilon will lose.
I know epsilon will probably lose, but I'm voting for it anyway because in this new art it is a truly glorious chunker and I love it. It really makes me wish we had seen all our contenders like this, particularly sigma. If sigma basically looked the same but a bit more traditional trek look than epsilon, it could have been a beautiful ship. But then delta and beta could have been gorgeous too.
I actually thought I would vote omega, but it's actually gotten uglier to me with the details added. It's not "bad" but I still think epsilon looks better. Omega even has the general profile of alpha's aft that I really liked on that ship but here just falls short for me, perhaps lacking the mission pod. *shrug*
Come on epsilon, pull off a miracle win from twitter/facebook or something. (since it already appears to be losing in our poll, which I don't recall ever changing much once a clear lead was established)
The Nebula-configured Odyssey needs to be a thing.
Team Omega. I like the pronounced hangerbays on the side. i wonder if it will have shuttle launch points, kind of like the phaser hardpoints for weapons. so it actually looks like it is launching hanger pets from somewhere.

So this was part of your evil plan from the start? Nicely done Morrigan. Nicely done.

Most unexpectedly, this turned into a flame-fest! Closed it goes!. /sigh What flamefestery is this? pwlaughingtrendy
