As I feared you've put the most anticipated ship (and the first promotional science ship since practically forever) into a doff pack. Meaning instead of 120-150 million EC such a ship would cost if it were the grand prize of a krenim lockbox II it will be 500+ million EC. Thank you, thank you very much indeed.
Mostly my Thoughts, when i saw that this Ship is not in the Year of Hell Lockbox, i allready had the bad feeling that they will do this, yet still i was hoping that they would put that Ship in, as a reward for the Last Mission of the Iconian Storyline, the GRAND FINALE with a GRAND PRIZE, so this Ship, but of course not, Cryptic would not be Cryptic if they would not Milk the Player where they know they can do so Perfectly, people where waiting for the Next Nice Science Ship (after DOZENS of Tactical and Engineering Ships were Smashed into the Game one after another), where also 100% Expecting the Last Summer Event Ship to be a Science Ship, since we allready had a Tactical and a Engineering Ship YET Science Player got Shafted - AGAIN - now, finaly, FINALY they bring a New Science Ship in but........like making fun of those who were Waiting, they put it in a DAMN Promo Pack? one of my Science Characters is badly in need of a Science Ship, this would be it, but i will so NOT Waste Hundreds of Euros to open one of those Gamling Boxes (way worse than Lockboxes) and i will NOT again Grind my "Back" off to Farm 500-600 Million ECs to get one of those from the Exchange, i was so excited to get one of this Ships, THANKS Cryptic for ruining it!
There are some key items that they're omitting still. One would be a Temporal Core in place of Warp/Singularity core.
There should be at least six item/trait rewards left between the two missions and Cryptic has been getting flashier with those.
How in f**k sake can you add the ONLY DAMN SCIENCE SHIP IN AGES in a God damn gamble pack? F**k this s**t, add it to the freaking C-Store as a standard ship, not a gamble bulls**t. Keep your stupid ship, I know when to draw the line, lol!
The fact that they finally designed another science ship and stuck it in the worst possible place pretty much sucks.
I really hope the next lockbox is a Temporal Lockbox or a Mirror Lockbox and is science focused. All this cruiser/escort ship spam has gotten really annoying.

It's also not by coincidence that they finally got around to fixing the suicide console in last week's patch, making it into something players would actually use, then tying it in with this ship.
At least on the Fed Side of things - Delta Rising brought 3 Tier 6 Science Vessels to the game, all with access to Intel BO abilities which are still seen as the most desirable in general.
Sure, KDF and RR got nothing. The Tier 6 Winter Event ship was a Science Carrier.
I think it wasn't a bad start for Fed science at least.
The biggest benefit of lockbox and promo ships for Crpytic is that their rarity and unique aspects makes them highly desirable, even if the ship itself isn't actually superior. And the only reason I can think of why Science Vessels are generally unpopular and sell poorly is because they are not that powerful. And no matter how much I prefer Science Vessel gameplay, I can't shake the feeling this is true.
I don't think the Bulwark is seen as particular powerful, and the Shehshar is okay, but is it amazing? It seems other ships are still deemed more potent. But they were or are pricey ships on the Exchange...

As it stands with promo packs costing 275z and having a roughly 1/100 chance to win, on average, 27,500 z is the cost of each ship in the game.
Good games have rare and desirable things in them. Games with good f2p systems let you earn these in-game, like STO does.
Simply make ec profits and you can just buy what you want from the exchange.

There is being reasonable, selling the ship for the standard 3k zen for a t6 ship, and then there is being greedy to expect people to spend 27.5k zen average per ship.

I have spent over $500 alone just trying to get ONE freaking premium ship from the lockboxes and in that $500 only got ONE when I didn't even want too because I was trying to get 200 Lobi Crystals. So if it took me well over $500 in f**king keys, imagine how much I would need to get this bloody dread.

$500 = approx 444 keys. 444 keys * say 3.5m EC = 1.554 billion EC. How many premium ships could you have bought with that? Course you don't have to do keys either. Sometimes (not since the new lockbox came out though), FSMs are a better choice. And there are other things that can sometimes get you more EC/zen.
This is a bit shell. I ground dilithium to buy promo packs to sell ( better return than keys at the time) to get my SheShar when it was first released. Paid 495 mil EC.

Because it's a Sci Dreadnought...it has SA and SST...only thing it may or may not have is a Secondary Deflector. She has that Chroniton Lance for free and comes with probably the best hangar pet available...

Okay, on the one hand that'd be freaking amazing, but that's never going to happen. Maybe they'll give us a miniature non-combat pet version, although even that is doubtful since it'd require extra coding rather than just giving out something that doesn't sell well but is already in game.

I think we're going to have one of those anniversary/event/use Lobi style login/queue events for a NON-SCIENCE version of the ship, either tied to the main storyline or as a Mirror Krenim Dreadnought.
I can imagine them giving us control of the Annorax dread' temporarily (no pun intended) in Butterfly or in the Season 11's launching episode (if the Butterfly mission doesn't solve the conflict), like they did with the advanced obelisk at the end of Sphere of Influence.
Interesting bit of info -- considering my luck when it comes to giveaways though, I'm not holding my breath.

Well, the Exchange has reacted quickly. The Temporal Destroyer went up about 15+ Million EC since last night. The Temporal Science Ship went through the roof. The two still available on the Exchange are 495 or 500 Million EC. Last night there were five copies there ranging from 279 - 300 Million. I was going to pick up one at 279 but hesitated. Today after the announcement by the time I checked the Exchange, there were three 298 M, 300 M, and 500 M. I managed to pick up the 298 M. The 300 M was wither picked up or taken off and relisted at 495 M.
Don't you just love the Free Market.
Whoa, to think that 2 month ago i got the Mobius at 90 M EC and the Wells at 215 M last month. It seems that i choose the right time to farm the EC for them, otherwise it would have been impossible for me to have them right now.
But seriously people are crazy to put such high price for them.
I remember a year or so ago when cryptic started with the Lobi sales. For some reason they dropped the price of the mobius down to 480 Lobi, others were at 640. (seems like this was about a year before all the T6 powerball stuff, anyways.) I bought 4 mobius and still have 3. Maybe its time to cash in. I wish for future Lobi sales during the end they would drop 1 random ship down to 480 lobi the same way they did the mobius. Might actually help some ppl out that want a new ship but arn't setting on a heap of Lobi.

I just can't see any realistic way to give out any form of this ship that wouldn't be far too powerful for a free giveaway. Hell it's not even a grind, it's just plain free. I'm not saying it's completely impossible just... nearly impossible. Even just giving out the appearance but with the stats of a miranda would massively cut in to their sales of the doff packs when the promo starts.
Edit- If you meant they'd let us grind for it, then that'd make even less sense. Again, it'd massively cut in to their sales, and Trendy's comment wouldn't make sense since it wouldn't be related to this giveaway.

Stats pack a powerful punch. Only bad stat is the turn rate. If my EC stash isn't enough, I think I'll have to cave in and buy zen to turn into EC.
