This is what happens when u replace the time tested tribble powered servers with Krenim tech some one hit the wrong button and erased 10.5 from history now they have to start over.
ok criptic, to make up for todays extended down time, how about changeing all common R&D doffs to green uncommon so we dont keep accidently useing them on fleet holdings!!!!!

Midnight here, tomorrow is a workday. I've been reading all week about the new stuff that was about to happen, took an evening off the usual "social duties", and wasted it refreshing a forum page. Yay.
Ironic thing is even the forum went down several times in the last hour. Seems to me like the company is getting greedy trying to be in the big gaming leagues but not modernising their infrastructure or expanding their tech team to match.
Like my mother used to say when I ate too many sweets "Your eyes are too big for your belly!" Get to foundations set and then try to join the big boys, otherwise you get stuff like this happening all the time.

related to that on a serious note i hope this doesnt cause a roll back or missing data or something like that similar to the krenim mucking up local space and time just so one crazy krenim captain can get his wife back.

I love coming into these threads where people start demanding ridiculous 'incentives' after unexpected downtime. Adding an extra day to Risa is sensible. Other things, not so much.
I've learned not to expect to play on maint day, not because of unexpected downtime, but also because everyone else is trying to crowd onto the servers when patch day goes as planned, so I experience a lot more lag/rubberbanding/discos. Therefore it's better for me to wait till next day to play.
Now a LTS and loving it.
Just because you spend money on this game, it does not entitle you to be a jerk if things don't go your way.
I have come to the conclusion that I have a memory like Etch-A-Sketch. I shake my head and forget everything.
Just keep it open in a separate tab (and do whatever) and just keep an eye for any notifications you get in the title [ie. (1) or (2) signs.] Refresh and be amazed by the power of the intertubes for distributing information quickly.
