damd I'd be nice to have the lobi to get the rules set to slap in it.
The Rules set includes a Mine weapon (bad mine at that), so not so much a fan of it anyway.
Plus the set bonuses aren't really worth it, they have nothing to do with ship combat.
Only part of the set part that is really worth it is the Missiles. So you only need 200 Lobi.
I might consider the Console on a full anti-proton build with theCrystalline Energy Torpedo Launcher. All anti-proton energy consoles for tactical (affects the Crystalline Energy Torpedo Launcher also), and then the Ferengi console for 11% more Torpedo in an Engineering slot... maybe.
Given what people have been putting Trendy through over the past few days, I think I'd rather see "goofy Trendy" than the potential alternative, "wrathful Trendy".
Trendy has been a little goofy since she got back from being sick. She seems to be feeling better. I like the new trendy.
As for me, my warship is gonna have dabo and slavegirls.
On second thought, forget the dabo. And slavegirls.
I'm just gonna blow stuff up then crash into ESD to rock the trolls a little.
Since we're saddled with a Ferengi ship, rather than the Risian Science Ship (i.e. the "yellow submarine") many were speculating on, I wanted a Ferengi ship. This really is more reminiscent of a Cardassian design, with the large fore "wing" structure sweeping backwards and trailing aft fuselage... its lines aren't quite as "clean" overall as Ferengi ships we've seen onscreen, either.
Maybe if the fore "wing" arced forward like in other Ferengi designs? Or if they flipped the little "pincer" pods 180 degrees, put that bridge on the new fore section, and smoothed out that aft? Yeah, placing my hang across the proper (IMHO) back of the ship and continuing the arc of the "wing" section across the aft looks like a pretty good ship... too bad we can't actually do that in-game, lol.
It really does look backwards for a Ferengi ship, and has too many pieces of flair...
I love how they've recycled the original D'Kora.. Compressed it front to rear, split it into 3 sections along its length, kept the center section in place, flattened and flipped the outer 2 lengths 180, taken the cutaways and reshaped them into side pods for the weapon points and propulsion elements.. voila.. job done!
i was never a fan of the D'kora until i rolled a Ferengi Engineer, then i just had to have 1. it really grew on me after that, its still my favourite ship on that character, and now this.. The Nandi.. it is unmistakeably, without any doubt, a Ferengi ship. Cant wait to get it!
I confess I feel like I'm being toyed with given that the event starts on the 4th and we still haven't gotten the stats. That said I am hoping that not only will the ship have a fully featured interior including Dabo and such like the D'kora but also places to put the Latinum trophies from gambling.
I will also take this moment to express my displeasure with the last ship interior STO created, namely the Xindi-primate ships. I mean cripes... it's like an empty room, very disappointing compared to a lot of the other ship interiors. It might be accurate to something in the series, I don't remember ever seeing these interiors, but to me it struck me as being kind of lame compared to the work on other ships.

Stats <
But I sympathize with your concern for the interior.
"Because the Lobi Crystal Consortium knows what captains want!"
Real bug fixes? Fair balancing? Not having their ships be outdated a few months later? Server actually being stable for once? Being told something we love is gonna change far in advance instead of the last second (Reputation projects not benefiting from Dil Bonus weekend)? Add actually useful ships instead of rehashing old ones?
Would you like me to go on?
Totally agree, oh you forgot more uniform options for KDF characters.
Support the Game by Supporting the KDF, equality and uniqueness for all factions!
Sorry, but after looking at the PITIFUL (for a T6 ship) stats that were on Tribble (not to mention that it's even uglier than last year's "Phloston Paradise" ship);
Egads I despise Ferengi. Only one solution for them, let the Borg deal with them.
Cirran
The Borg don't assimilate Ferengi. When your ships have no back or front, you don't need to assimilate used starship salesmen to pitch them to the Risian festival committee for you.
Borg don't assimilate Kazon either - its the hairstyles.
And you thought the Borg had no sense of humor!
While I have a little over 1,000 Lobi I am not wasting it on this. I'd rather wait for some better uniform options come into the store. So far only the Vaadwaur one has appealed to me.

I'll be shocked if this thing actually has a bridge. The other two Risa ships didn't and that was very disappointing. Also I too wish there was a Risa science ship but this is kinda neat.
Edit: Wait.. some people are saying there's a lobi cost to this? Ugh.. forget it then if that is the case. Now I really wish it was a new Risa style ship.
So... a hot-rod version of the marauder.... No doubt it will have pilot stations.
Sorry, but this doesn't seem original at all.
However, seeing that my Klingon has the Marauder (and I'm hoping to find another ship for him), I will wait to see what the stats are and what comes with the ship.
If they make a good set out of the old and new console, it would be silly for me not to get it.
The D'Kora is a Beetle. Ferengi design their ships to look like their food. :P
Nandi looks too much like a Scopian, can't see Ferengi eating food can sting you.
Rule of Acquisition 203: New customers are like razor-toothed gree-worms. They can be succulent, but sometimes they bite back.
Sounds like Ferengi aren't averse to food that can fight back...
And the only way this ship costs lobi is if you really don't want to run the daily to earn the vouchers to unlock it. You can (probably, it's how they've done it before) buy vouchers with lobi. Me, I'm cheap - I'm not spending cash when I can get it for just flying around a resort once a day for three weeks.

Nono, Previous years you could purchase the pearls for the ships with Lobi.. It's an option to get out of some of the grind. There is an assumption that you can buy some of this years ship coinage for Lobi. I don't recall it being covered in a dev blog or statement one way or another. I could have simply missed that part.
The big change going into effect the day the event launches is all previous and the new event ships all become account unlocks... so, for example if you made delta event toons and would like to put one in any of the previous event ships that you have earned on any of your tunes, you'll be able to.. totally free. This year only one of your toons need grind for the ship. As soon as you have it, all your toons can claim it.
The other little gem is Borticus posted the the favor awards from the contests are getting doubled and trippled. So mini game/contest grind reduced by 1/2 to 1/3 normal.. or to look at it another way, much more you'll get for the same amount of grind. And the prices in favors are going to be inline with whats all ready there.. so likely the most expensive items will not be more then 1000 favors.. Shirts will be likely 500 each or there abouts.
Sorry, but after looking at the PITIFUL (for a T6 ship) stats that were on Tribble (not to mention that it's even uglier than last year's "Phloston Paradise" ship);
My T5U Fleet Avenger is far more closer to Millenium Falcon badassness than this ... "thing" ...
I'll pass & use the new vouchers towards finishing the Risan Corvette that, Thank the Lords of Kobol, I still have slotted.
Thanks for posting that. So, it's a tactical/science cruiser. It's not bad. It seems lacking compared to the command cruisers (but what doesn't?). Yet, if you stick an Engineering captain in that ship, you'll have a strong, well-rounded set-up.
I will still be surprised if the two consoles aren't a set. I probably won't sacrifice my current MkXIV consoles to use them, but... who knows.

It's not a cruiser, it's a Warship. So far, ships designated as Warships are variants of the Destroyer classification, with a bit less maneuverability and a bit more durability, and a 4/4 payload. Despite being described as a "Science" Warship, there is no special Science capability such as a Secondary Deflector, Sensor Analysis, or Subsystem Targeting; further, there is no special capability to switch "modes" to access these abilities like the Science Destroyers have. It's really just a Warship with Science seating, rather than what you might expect of a Science Warship based on prior experience with the DSD's.
Basically, this is a decent enough all-around ship. It can seat significant amounts of Science, but since it lacks the Secondary Deflector it won't make especially good use out of them compared to the various Federation T6 Science Ships. It should, however, be a viable alternative to the Sarr Theln as wannabe Science for KDF and Rom captains, with the additional seats allowing for more Pirate/SRO boffs. Using the Hybrid seat to slot Pilot boff abilities could allow you to fly something closer to a traditional Escort/Destroyer, using Pilot en lieu of Tac.
Mind you, statistics are subject to change, and nobody has been able to actually try one out. The statistics we have available are from right-clicking the crate on Tribble, which may not be the final version. Even if it is, those statistics could be adjusted prior to launch.
With each passing day I wonder if I stepped into an alternate reality. The Cubs win the world series. Donald Trump is President. Britain leaves the EU. STO gets a dedicated PvP season. Engineers are "out of control" in STO.
I will do some grind and some pay-off (since lobi cost for event currency is reduced to 2 lobi per box), but this ship design and stats don't enthuse me to do more than get this for my Ferengi captain currently in his flagship D'kora. It is nice they changed to a different race's ship, but this one is another use and store. At least those past event ships will be account accessible after the start of this event.

Yeah. Free is always better than cheap. Wait. Is that a Rule of Acquisition? If it's not it should be.

What ships are you comparing to get that conclusion?
The only way you could get that conclusion if you aren't comparing Destroyer to Destroyer stats.
Likely just a recycled D'Kora bridge, which wouldn't take must to do compared to making a whole new one.
And as they have said, bridges don't get used enough to validate resources on designing them.
Of course as I've said, give us a reason to use them, put the D'Kora amenities on all ships.
I foreshadow you whining in the future about being outperformed by the Nandi. That is how it normally goes isn't it?
I would be happy even if it's the dkora bridge because that bridge has amenities most others don't. It will save me from traveling to my homeworld.
Yeah. Free is always better than cheap. Wait. Is that a Rule of Acquisition? If it's not it should be.
