That's funny as I confused it myself as the direction of the front leaves me thinking it reminds me of a Cardie design. Reverse from that pic feels more Ferengi.
think I will give this one a miss (first time in 3 years I have missed a ship)
I crossed that line last year. Couldn't stand that a converted love boat had better stats than my Galaxy-X
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.
Looks over the blog again, and eye balls the other driblets discovered about the Nandi Warship.
Destroyer with a strong focus on Science. Option to trade off science BOFF powers for pilot BOFF powers. 8 weapons slots instead of the more normal 7 for destroyer class hulls. a total of 13 BOFF powers and 11 console slots. Dammit, other then it looks like a Ferengi ship, it look pretty awesome.
Running and Engineer captain would keep it alive longer, a TAC Captain and it hits harder, and a SCI captain could mess up yer day in one big time.
I want to get the ship, I'd also like to drop Quark a line and suggest that it have a selection of built in holo disguises. Maybe a Captain Proton rocket ship skin. My Orion has the wardrope to pull off the whole Princess Ardala thing, which may be Buck Rogers, but hey, it's close nuff for Orion work!
I'm gett'n kinda hooked up on Destroyer class ships. And we see more and more of them. There's the Vet ships which come in regular and fleet, both upgradable. The Dysons in a stock model thats pretty good, and free upgrade, and then there's the zen store versions. For the KDF there are the Nausican Destroyers, and the dear old Garumba siege Destroyer which is still a respectable ship (Dude's.. T6 Nausicaan someday?), and now this ship joins the line up of Destroyers in STO.
Something about the balance of agility and firepower they bring to the table.

While I will happily accept any event starships to add to my collection and am thankful that the grind isn't too painful to get them, I still wish we got Risian-themed ship interiors for the Risian ships.
Really could have used a standard Risian interior with a nice wood-paneled deck, a mostly-decorative ship's wheel, a spa or two...and the ability to use our Risian outfits and stuff inside. Anything beyond a bridge, like fancy, luxurious crew quarters, would have been a nice extra, too.
I'm still holding out for something like that, because a Klingon ship interior for the Risian ships doesn't cut it.
All that being said, I'm glad it sounds like they remembered the desire for ship interiors for these enough to give the new one an interior. Hoping it's a unique and neat-looking one, too.
When will we get to see pictures of the Bridge and this Captain's Chair that is more like a throne?

Looking for a new fleet? Drop by the in-game chat channel, "tenforwardforum", and say hi to the members of A Fleet Called Ten Forward (Fed) and The Orion Pirates (KDF). If you already have a fleet you are happy with, please feel free to drop by our chat channel if you are looking for a friendly bunch of helpful people to socialize with.
Backwards? You want Ferengi ships to be similar to Terran arthropods, yes? The way the D'kora is vaguely similar to a Terran horseshoe crab? When I first saw the ship, the first place my mind went was "scorpion". Pincers, big sting-tail raised above its back (and by the Divine Treasury, I hope there's a weapon mount up there!), the whole thing.
Or a Dewan arthropod, of course, but I am not flying the USS Dewan Arthropod.
Since we're saddled with a Ferengi ship, rather than the Risian Science Ship (i.e. the "yellow submarine") many were speculating on, I wanted a Ferengi ship. This really is more reminiscent of a Cardassian design, with the large fore "wing" structure sweeping backwards and trailing aft fuselage... its lines aren't quite as "clean" overall as Ferengi ships we've seen onscreen, either.
Maybe if the fore "wing" arced forward like in other Ferengi designs? Or if they flipped the little "pincer" pods 180 degrees, put that bridge on the new fore section, and smoothed out that aft? Yeah, placing my hang across the proper (IMHO) back of the ship and continuing the arc of the "wing" section across the aft looks like a pretty good ship... too bad we can't actually do that in-game, lol.
It really does look backwards for a Ferengi ship, and has too many pieces of flair...
With each passing day I wonder if I stepped into an alternate reality. The Cubs win the world series. Donald Trump is President. Britain leaves the EU. STO gets a dedicated PvP season. Engineers are "out of control" in STO.

I'll also pipe in and say ... If those are impulse/warp trails, then they are flying the hip backwards! It would look better flying the other way around, and IMHO look more "ferengi-ish". <sigh>
Ah well, looks like whoever designed the hideous Romulan Pilot ships is still on the ship design team.
Just hope it has a truly awesome and opulent looking bridge (you could do worse than taking design cues from whoever did new Romulus command center) and the usual Ferengi Ship amenities.
I wish the stern was the bow. It would tie in better with the Ferengi shuttle and cruiser looks wise. This looks like it's flying in reverse. Don't get me wrong it's cool looking definitely going to grind for it.

At least once they pointed out that the Romulan Pilot ships were meant to be of Reman design... I could see that in their overall design.
This looks like *maybe* the Ferengi cut corners and retrofitted some obsolete Cardassian ship they bought cheap from a "reputable" salvage trader. Actually... when I fly this thing, that's exactly how I'm going to justify its appearance.
I have to agree, though, that bridge had better be amazing. :P

What's a "Pleb"?

Tac captain + Plasmonic leech + Flow caps + Elite Fleet Plasma-integrated warp core with [Eff] = UNLIMITED... POWWWWER!

True, we find out tomorrow.
Love the first version in silver!
OMG THIS!!! With a couple of inbuilt options.
It's a science heavy destroyer.

Yeah just saw the box stats spoiler. Much better. Wish that Eng Power was Aux power though.
Consoles aren't bad either, bit more tactical than sci (I'd prefer to swap those).
Hope the D'Kora Console can be used with it. Bonus if there was a 2 piece set between them.
Greedy Emitter's isn't all that impressive. Can see its uses, but it is more situational compared to other Ship Master abilities.
The Nandi console can go on the D'kora but the D'kora console can't go on the Nandi.
The Borg tried to deal with the Ferengi but Quark made a deal for their armada 2 bars of gpl and a crate of stem bolts

Well that is a nice buff for my D'Kora tanky Engineering build.
Which is odd, it looks like the Nandi has the perfect spot for Pop-out Missile Launcher system on the ship appearance.
The ferengi missile launcher is a lobi console.... The D'kora's console is the battle module I thought.
What I thought. Too similar to the Galor.
The D'Kora is a Beetle. Ferengi design their ships to look like their food. :P
Nandi looks too much like a Scopian, can't see Ferengi eating food can sting you.
When you fully engage the Battle Module 3000 you get the swarm missiles. These are separate from the Lobi set version.
D'Kora's IS battle Module which also allows Swarm Missiles as part of it.
And the Nandi looks to have a spot for it the back that square sticking up in the center rear.
AH! MY mistake. Thank you for the correction.
Corithian leather is optional on the Cordoba package.
