Server Outage, December 31st

Reports of our servers being down are in. We have our team investigating. Sorry for the inconvenience everyone. Web hope to have the hamsters back in the Computer Core post haste! We will update you with an ETA as soon as we can.

    Hate post? ahm.. It is hard to do that when ordered. I am not used to do that this way.

    Is it just me or does this always seem to happen after a General Maintenance for Server Stability?

    Wasn't there just a server stability patch yesterday? What the hell is going on over at Cryptic?

    A botched Delta Rising (I know, most successful, the players love it bla bla bla) with broken T6 ships with Broken T6 intel powers and severely OP and unballanced faction locked T6 traits. Not even going to mention all the bugs.

    Get it together guys!

    Not good guys...

    I just returned to the game... "was" having fun and strongly considering stopping my LOTRO or SWTOR subscription and start subscribing to STO.. but so far 2 or my 4 days playing the server's been down.

    I don't pay for games I can't play.


    P.S. PLEASE UPDATE YOUR SERVER STATUS ON FACEBOOK.

    Guys on FB are reporting Champions is down too, so whatever they did, they did it good.

    I kinda wonder if they did something silly across the board with their "stability" patch. None of my games that use the Cryptic launcher will get into the actual client. Either that or the guys hammering Sony got bored and decided to go after a different network.

    I know you are being blamed for something that is out of your control as you are not a DEV and this is probably your day off so thanks for the info.

    thanks for the heads up 1 and a 1/2 hours after it started. I don't understand how the forums for neverwinter get updated and told of the outage a good 40-50 mins before anything is posted here....

    perhaps it is time to have a mirror of the main server somewhere else...... after all it is our money your losing...... time to go get some drink and see the new year in....

    Arc said it was east coast servers.

    I thought the server was on the west coast...

    It's a good thing that they didn't wait for a peak playtime when everyone was off of work and school to go on vacation themselves for 2 weeks... oh wait, you did.

    I hate to break this to you guys, but you provide a service, that's your job as a company, and if that's what you want to do, do what every other legitimate company does when they expect an increase in business, have /more/ people work, not less. *looks at Amazon and UPS* yeah.... maybe leaving one guy there to hit the reset button wasn't the best idea.

    Who knows, maybe they are actually there, and that explains the complex detailed patch notes and attention to issues on the forums.

    This too.... I'm frustrated, but I know that the fault doesn't necessarily lie with the Devs either, more of a company policy that irks me.

    It's just like that line in the Batman movie, "It's not what your patch notes say, it's what you do that defines you." Or.... something like that.

    "Server Stability Update" is code for server will crash in the next 48hrs for some random reason 95% of the time.

    Maybe when they are fixing the server they might by dumb luck fix the winter event discount bug.

    Naaaw, the fix is on tribble they just like watching us rage on the forums, its only been 15 days since it was officially fixed on tribble. ;)
