I have the same problems as above, I can't connect to the patch server and it doesn't even load the launcher.
Trying to start up the client directly also doesn't work. Even the sto website had some difficulties at first, but typing in the direct address did allow me to connect.
"Unable to establish connection to Patch Server. Please check your Internet connection. If problems persist, please contact Technical Support."
Well let's see, I'm here online on the forum so it's not my internet connection. I'm able to stream video from numerous services so my bandwidth is good. I know that this isn't Blizzard/WoW and that you guys have much more limited resources. Please get the game back up an running.

it's getting terriibly annoying. WTF am I paying for on a monthly basis? I was tempted by the lifetime sub, but gave up on it. Have 2 characters losing out on the mirror event because of the frigging server problems. I am fed up ....

Guys, I managed to load the launcher. Apparently my virus scanner had to update and it needed to reboot. It wasn't letting me load the launcher until then.
I'm using Norman Antivirus. You might wanna check your own virus scanner as well.
After having my computer down for a week I've been on a really tight schedule to get these MI events done before it finishes, now it can't find the patch server. It's not major in the grand scheme of things, but when you've sat through hours of utter boredom to get something done it's a bit annoying to get knackered at the last minute by something so random.

Well it may not have cost much to feed those little guys back in the day but with today's internet speeds hamsters are insuficient to run a modern server. Companies have been using server capybara for some time now and not only do they eat a ton more but they also have to send out to South America when one of them goes down.
Edit: Also, what's up with the [Resolved] label? For me it takes at least 3 tries just to bring up the launcher and the app breaks down at the Cryptic logo.

Guys/Girls at Cryptic, please do the players on all your games a favour, shut the whole damn thing down, you have a problem that is not permitting normal operation.
Turn the games offline, and fix it, only then do you put the games back on-line. This half arsed approach is very amateurish and the kind of thing I expect from a beginner indy developer, not a supposed established gaming company.
still can't connect, been trying for 3 hours now, how about fixing any of the thousand bugs and problems the game has rather than adding content?
nobody sane will spend money on a game they can't play, add that to your business model!
