Most certainly a good excuse for auto hypo use on a sci. I did so last night and even cast a few on Tira. The elachi ****hole deaths pretty much stopped after that :0. That's my nickname for it :P

To me, on the contrary, for what I reed there seems to be good reason to stay out of GPVP. A full premade spaming broken and OP stuff like the elachi black TRIBBLE on pugs dont seems to be fun.

In fact, I dont underestend why any vet queue, to be the playtoy of that premade? Just leave the queues dead, and maybe some day cryptic decide to fix something, but be a toy for thouse 4 guys? Nhaaa.. and I am having a blast on Heroes And Generals (real Ground PVP).

Btw, to be clear, I am not against premades.. friends have the rigth to play with each other, I am againts premades that use op stuff when they know that they are destroying GPVP.

a simple way would be for them to re institute the marks system and make pvp ground use pvp ground S-x(1,2,3 ect) gear only. TR makes it "either i one shot you or you one shot me" right now. wish more people cared about pvp it would be really fun if it was impossible to 1 shot everything for everyone all the time.

Give us a Ground pvpers our own Drozana station... disable everything... traits, specs, doffs etc... then let's have a good old bar fight....

Devs... we have snowballs.... we need chairs!

    Aka...

    Chair

Does 100 kinetic damage when thrown at target.

    Nerve Tonic

Does 50 kinetic damage when thrown at target.

If you do I can bring you up to speed just keep in mind cloak TRIBBLE is even less useful now than it was before you left. Get used to lunge being largely ineffective due to the juggernaut system. Sci still has a moderate edge over all classes but the line is a lot closer now. On your way from 50 to 60 you will spend points in the left side of commando and then tier 2 commando which will bring you to level 60.

Be ready with some dilthium to upgrade at least 3 or 4 pieces to mk 14 very rare. Choose either Omega shield or shattered shield as both provide 40 dodge at mk 14. This is not optional for a tact make your choice. Ultra rare and epic are helpful but aren't going to be essential to your successes. Since you will have a new toon avoid putting points in grenades and threat control. Also only 6 in special forces now will due since ambush isn't a primary module for most tacts now. A delta rep kit mk 12 with crtd (17.5 severity) squad command and maybe more willpower will be the frame way for you to go. Avoid armor mods since they have adverse affects on certain armors.

Also decide quickly we have a skill bonus event starting on the 26th. Also feel free to name your toon Biggs :P Also Harry is not around anymore :( I miss his psychoanalysis after deaths by me!

I've seen a lot of regulars still around. A lot of the players I used to run with are still around and I'm obviously around. There are a lot of new people here in ground PvP. I have seen a whole lot of players that are clearly at a loss at how to play the game and I do hope they decide to stick around.

Well im thinking of reinstalling but basically only to play few gpvp matches now and then, from what i read space pvp is dead and if it even come alive its behind massive wall of grind and grind online is reason why i left the game so thats no go for me.Ig uess i try to level 1 toon for ground only and see how it go.:)

Well I will help rebuild you if you want. Tact's won't really play like you are used to anymore. Follow what I said to get you into a good position to compete again. Ground pvp isn't fully back so to speak. But I have had more total level 60 matches in the past few days then all of DR launch to date. You don't see fs premades anymore. Only nunu really plays. Germans pretty much on the usual day shift only. A few space guys are making a poor attempt to come into ground. Those are the E-holes we are talking about. And a few random newbs who don't yet understand what using the elachi ****hole is going to get done to them. But for the most part the intel module prediction of killing ground pvp has turned out false. It's mostly the ****hole and to a lesser extent concussive tachyon stacking at once.

Well, the teleport intel module is a bit cheesy with an engineer + mines, but fortunately not many people are using it to beam people into mines. Not to mention, hehe, it tends to backfire for the user if their target has a fully buffed pulsewave when it they pull em point blank to their position.

The Elachi Kit module however is pure evil and needs to be changed. For those here that may not know; it completely disables players for 15 seconds and even shuts down players buffed with Motion Accelerator (control immunity). The only way out of it early is to get knockbacked far enough away from the elachi ball. Tier 5 Delta Tachyon Emissions is only broken because it is oneshotting players when buffed with Ambush + other tactical buffs. Unbuffed the ability is a nice spam cleaner and player shield disabler, but it isn't coming anywhere close to oneshotting.

Pull the ability to buff T5 Delta with tac buffs, smite a handful of bugs, nerf elachi into the ground, and Ground PvP is greatly improved in quality of life.

Intel modules dont even had the time to kill GPVP due to the elachi TRIBBLE hitting even harder. I think we were afraid of a nuclear war but instead, we didnt even have tha time to press the red button when a deadly epidemic kill us all.

If GPVP was bearly ok before DR, now is unplayable.

Maybe, but we all know that is not going to happend.

And is even worst, every 2 or 3 months we are going to have a new spe tree with new modules, some of them are going to be OP, or at least better than the old ones and that implies a new grind. If anyone have the time or will for the grind, is going to be fine, but I dont.

I will lyk on the command modules by the end of the 1st week of March. My command tree on my tact will be fully done. I will be buying most of the command modules maybe minus a few that look weak.

As far as the grind goes yes the majority of the special point grind has to take place in space to be fast enough. I have had to buy so much space stuff for a ground built toon to make it a viable "fast" space pve farmer. Been doing a lot of chained borg sirius red alerts with it. Got 335k skill points in an hour and 15 minutes of straight red alert instance hopping :P

On the e-hole user front I found popping auto hypo just before you know the noobs are gonna pop it tends to pretty much negate their bs. Just saying. So roll your sci roll your sci roll your sci!

I hesitate to say ground pvp is unplayable even now. I will say it's unplayable under those certain circumstances of e-hole's and cheese users. Again the counter for that will be premading the next match. Even if you hate that person well suck it up team with them if you want to kick the e-hole's out of the q's. Cheese begets more cheese says cheesus! LOL Also I always have a steady supply of neural overloads to share just saying :) I have a whole line on a fleet tab full of them. HAHA! So play nice with daddy Biggs or get spanked!

They were bugged on release so I never bothered with them. I guess they're fixed now. I've still only been shot with them. The effect is clear when it procs and my shields seemed to come down faster but UI bug makes it hard to tell if shields are up or down on the ground.

Most likely not going to try them. The upgrade system tends to keep my weapons stockpile limited these days. I pretty much just use account bound weapons for both toons. Only ones I kept and upgraded for both toons where undine and omega rep guns to use for set bonuses as needed.

Corrosive plasma is just a disruptor proc that does half the debuff as a normal disruptor proc and a plasma proc that does half the damage of a normal plasma proc. Really nothing earth shattering in the long run. That said, damage procs are scaling a little too aggressively at Mk XIV. I've managed to pull off 460 damage/tick with normal plasma weapons and that is a bit too high. Pre-Delta Rising I was averaging about 130~ plasma damage/second on critical hit. The same goes for the Bio-Molecular Incubation proc. At Mk XII it isn't so bad, but ramp that weapon up to Mk XIV and you suddenly start seeing easy oneshots via proc.

sounds like the large jump in damage from mark 12 to mark 13, and even larger jump from 13 to 14 is also applying to any proc that does damage, not just the weapon's damage

Indeed it is; I'm hoping Borticus notices and is able perform the same adjustment for ground as he did in space.

Yep, which I believe is intended, but the scaling on damage is a bit off for some things. Naturally a single proc should never be oneshotting players. I'm not even using [CritD]x4 weapons...I couldn't imagine what [CritD]x4 plasma procs would look like under two copies of Rally Cry...

My plasma ground weapons are only 60 percent severity but my recoil armor +90 and my delta kits mods +17.5 and deadly aim and vicious more then make up for that 20 :)

This might explain why the 4 man space noob e-hole spamming premade the other day beamed out because of me :P

I am going to be very hesitant to add plasma proc dps to my list namely because tactical officer fully buffing them is really the only potential issue and that's assuming it even crits. Yes I agree a weapon proc should not provide so much damage but at the same time there are hard counters in game for sci and tact just not engy. It is possible to achieve a base 60 energy damage resist in game now even with weak armors. If you get one shot by a plasma proc one per month I would not call that broken. I would call that a new in game status message actually. LOL

In this regard I would hope the next engy lockbox module provides and overwatch advisor doff like effect.
