Popped on tribble while the servers are down to see if there has been any change to loadout bugs there.

I initially thought maybe they had fixed them as a loadout was successfully recalled after zoning. But after switching ships and testing loadouts on that one, and switching back to the first ship the loadouts on it would no longer recall all the boffs.

Also duty officers still don't switch on ship swap on tribble right now.

On the plus side my broken skill retrain button was fixed on tribble, but that's another matter entirely.

A huge number of new loadout threads have popped up over the past 4 days. So I have updated the list in Post #1 again.

It seems that all 4 aspects of loadouts are still having issues for many people:

    • Bridge officers stop loading on recall of saved loadouts
    • Bridge Officers misteriusly disappear from their stations after zoning.
    • Power Tray's rearrange themselves on ship swap and arfter zoning.
    • Active Duty Officers fail to swap with ship swap.
    • Active Duty Officers become inactive arfter zoning.
    • Consoles equipped on T5-U ships fail to be recalled.

there's a dev-thread on this, please add your experiences there

    http://sto-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?t=1254191

no idea why it's not sticky, it's fairly common/serious

happens to me all the time after DR, and I don't even use the loadout system (never happened to me before DR)

Beemed up from Delta Command to find my active doffs wipped again today. Still cant save bridge officers to a loadout that survives zoning and still having power tray issues. Doffs are also still failing to swap on ship swap.

It has now been 295 days since loadouts were released broken.

It has been 207 days since crypticfrost first reported that he had found the cause, though we now know this to be false as it is 36 days since he made a new thread asking for assistance tracking down the causes of our issues.

it has been 121 days since askray asked that loadouts be added to the master bug list. but no hint of them has ever been seen in the bug list or any known issues list.

There have been no less then 50 threads on this topic, and no that's not an exaggeration. I have been slacking off on updating the master index at beginning of this thread. I don't have enough free time with work, and all the new grind in game but I will get to it eventually.

If I ever implied I had found the "Cause" of the issue, I apologize. What I found initially was some consistent repro cases using copies of characters reported to have the issue. Those original repro cases were fixed, but that obviously did not fix every case, hence my request for other sample characters.

All of those characters I have checked have not been able to reproduce the issue, because when I load the character copy and activate a loadout, the power tray for the character gets emptied entirely. I've reported this, and passed the info on to Software and Production.

I understand your frustration, but we are aware of the issue and are working on a fix. This is not an issue that affects every character in the game. That makes it significantly harder to fix as I understand it, and that's why this is taking so long.

I'm not going to search through 13 pages to see if it's been suggested already...

Someone in game told me to rename my ship at a ship selector so it moves in the list, I was only having load out issues with a couple of characters and none at all with others.

Doing as mentioned above, I no longer suffer any major issues with load outs. Swapping often messes it up but so far as landing then relaunching ship, it seems to have fixed my issue.

    So, in short;
    1. Go to ship selector.
    2. Rename your ship in a manner that it will move up or down in the list.
    3. Launch and save loadout for (hopefully) last time.

I've recently started having issues with powers not staying in the tray between sessions. Frustrating to say the least.

With advice from a fleetmate I was able to get most of the problems sorted using loadouts -- putting all my tray icons where I wanted them, saving a loadout, changing a single BOFF (for some reason the system doesn't recognize tray icon placement changes as a different loadout) so that the system registers a loadout change, saving it again, swapping to a different ship while in sector space (this is key) and then swapping back again, then reloading the layouts until they stick (verified by beaming down and back up again). It's a pain in the TRIBBLE, but eventually it works.

And what about characters that have never saved a loadout?

Thank you for the update crypticfrost. My tally of the days isn't intended to single you out, though I think I worded my last post poorly in that regard. Its realy meant as a reminder for management of how long they have been letting it slide down the to-do list.

I am one off the insane people who reached the boff limit, keeps spreadsheets for multiple builds on multiple ships, and likes to change ship/build for running different content. The loadout system was meant to free me from the 5 minute chore of switching everything around between missions, but it just doesn't do the job.

I have been quit disappointed in the apparent focus on fixing power tray issues only. Is there any hope at all the boff and doff issues may be addressed as well? You have stated that this is not an issue that effects every character in the game, but I know of no character in the game for whom the loadout system works without something failing to work.

I have recently had alot of issues with the interactions between the loadout system and the upgrade system.

Everytime I take a piece of equipment off my ship to upgrade it, the loadouts go all screwy dumping items back into my inventory/messing up boff/doff slotting. Even when I resave the loadouts (once the upgrade has completed) there are still issues with rostered doffs and boff stations/power tray buttons not saving properly.

It seems to be a lottery as to whether I can get it to 're-stick'.

There seems to be something in the code that automatically tries to read/load a loadout, which I think is wrong. Loadouts should only 'LOAD' when a player manually asks it to. Anything that automatically does it when changing zones/beaming up or down should be removed to avoid the loadouts inadvertantly getting bugged.

If when a player asks a loadout to load but there is equipment unavailable (eg being upgrade or discarded) doffs unavailable (eg on assigmnent or discarded) boffs unavailable (eg discarded) then the rest of the loadout should load properly save the gaps. It currently doesnt seem to do this (ie if you dont have a boff, none of them will get slotted or if you dont have a doff none will get put into the roster).

I have never saved a loadout. I have one set of equipment and abilities for each character.

On top of my primary character (Laurence Corrin@diotw) having his active space DOFFs unseat every time he goes to or from a ground map, I've noticed today that his power tray resets itself. I added Ramming Speed into an empty slot, then switched its position with another ability. When I went to use it a short while later I discovered that Ramming Speed had vanished, and the switched ability was back to its original position.

Also, one of my alts (Korax@diotw) has the same issue, I unlocked T5 Romulan Rep the other day, and added the active space ability to his tray. It keeps disappearing. You might say that this is appropriate for a button that cloaks the ship, but it's kind of irritating to have to reset it every time I want to go into battle.

This character is why I don't play my Romulan any more. Tovan Khev is NOT my BFF! Get him off my bridge!

Yes they are! I can confirm that yesterday. I had added new features and they can sent right back to the "P" I have to keep on dragging them out. Either give us unlimited storage or limit it but this way we all would know how many slots we can use and will be saved correctly. Also ship layouts are effected as well. To much struggle with this now if you go into a battle just to learn layout and load-out are changed again. Best to get the heck out of there fast!
