(Latinum isn't irreplecable because it was made to be, latinum is similar to platinum but is such a complex metal that it can't be replicated, so its rare and can't be copied which made it a good choice for a currency. What I'm saying is clearly Credits aren't made out of gold since it would be too easy for someone to just make fake credits then as gold is a precious material in star wars but not so rare that pirates wouldn't just gather it up and make it into their own credits. They must use a special metal in order to keep it so that any random guy can't make fake credits and use them.)

(Copper is cheap and relatively easy to get. same with nickel zinc and other things. I don't hear much about counterfeit pennies, nickel, dimes or quarters. I just imagine they would be replicable.)
Nick: I do like my bridge though... and its a Nx-refit, not just a straight up NX. We could move the Captain's quarters down to the secondary hull and combine some unused spaces.... or keep it on the main hull and combine a few of the unused spaces into a larger space, maybe move it to the inner hull rather than the outer hull, it would sacrifice the view of space though. I feel concerned about how my crew would feel though.

(That's because we live in the modern day where it would be difficult to have the machines to turn nickle and copper into coins, plus they're of such low value that even if one did start manufacturing them it wouldn't be very easy money, credits however exist in a significantly more technologically advanced society where it would be much easier to obtain manufacturing equipment.)

Nick: it's less of a refit and more about interior design. It's something that wouldn't be all to hard to do. Even if I did have to put it in drydock, could use it as an excuse to get more powerful cannons. Maybe some better shields.... now that you got me thinking I could upgrade the impulse engines too. *grins as he starts to make the fries* warp core is fine though.
