What I'm not fine with is when someone gives up everything to make such abomination that does not help the team, even less yourself. I'm a team player, used to cooperate to ultimately win the match. This is probably the main reason of hate.
I do agree, if you're going to go to the extremes with something, let it be something that either helps the team stay alive or get kills.
My 2,000 post approaches. Wondering what I'll do with it.....
FBP builds + FBP gear (voth ****) like scora's build are useless, but a combination of FBP, skill, and offensive damage is good.
If you're going FBP, be good at healing teammates as well? Torps and rams always get the FBPer though.
Whoa whoa whoa! I do have hazard emitters III on my voth ship, and Attack pattern Delta. Both can help team mates. There's nothing useless about my ship. Everyone please stop making dumb assumptions about my build. A transphasic build is LOL versus me. I put down the AA console, and that whole build is useless. Hoping for a cluster mine hit is all people try to do versus me. AA is always with me. You target the AA with torps, I heal it and cast delta on it...
I've already seen every possible tactic you guys can do. There's nothing I'm not ready for. Thankfully no one is creative in STO's PVP. Rom vapers are the only threat to me, even tho they have a 5% chance of winning.

The dress displayed on amazon is a blue and black dress, but it's not the same dress in the picture. If you're seeing blue & black you're slightly colored blind. A normal upright screen = white and gold.

The main purpose of flying an FBP-centric build is much the same as flying a Sci captain in a 1v1 in general: Trolling. FBP builds are for team arenas. Using such a thing in a 1v1 is basically just trolling.
Not really, at least in a team setting. There the point is to contribute something to the team, and "mobile aceton assimilator" doesn't count for much, IMHO.

You're telling me a FBP build that does nothing but make enemy concentrate on allies with lower healing capabilities is for arena? No, I'd pick a healer on Recluse/Odyssey/Wells all the times instead of an idiotic FBP-based ship.
It was like a 5vs5 OPVP match we did some time ago. I was happy to have Kax's Vesta against me, I knew I could focus on other ships and happy to have a stronger healer to back me up. Guess what we won big time.
The main purpose of flying an FBP-centric build is much the same as flying a Sci captain in a 1v1 in general: Trolling. FBP builds are for team arenas. Using such a thing in a 1v1 is basically just trolling.
So, how would you utilize an FBP-centric build in arena?
And by FBP-centric I mean a build like the one I mentioned in the OP: A ship with minimal DPS output, no real debuffing or healing capabilities (Tac flying a sci-oriented ship to exploit the APA3 boost to the feedback strength), and which relies solely on having someone focus fire on them in order to do any damage.
Note that I said "focus fire" in the above paragraph. A few random FAW shots landing on what is essentially a mobile aceton assimilator are unlikely to impact the course of a match. But the loss of a valuable team slot to a "troll" build like the one I described seems like a total waste.
So...how, exactly, does my spikey friend from the OP contribute in team match play?
But can he kill someone without their help? In other words, is he entirely reliant on his opponent firing on him? Or is his FBP part of a more balanced package that includes healing, debuffing, et al?
I've never met Kax in game, so I genuinely don't know how his ship is set-up. But I do know his reputation, and I'm guessing he does more than simply reflect others' damage back at them.
BTW, I like your sig quote. Too bad the "non-cookie-cutter" player I noted in the OP was such a douche. Must have been picked on a lot during recess.

Nope, not at all. It's only trolling to people that's too stupid to stop shooting. If anything is trolling, it's vapers in 1vs1. Killing people before they react. Yeah that's fair. Thankfully with FBP and RSP assigned to one button can kill the vaper people. FBP, is just a counter.
Either FBP or I'll drain players into oblivion with a negative 460 power drain. Either way I'm sure it's still trolling, because what ever prevents the space-bar spam is trolling . 1vs1 or team, it's just counters.

It's some random woman from an Eye glasses ad. Her eyes were originally green, but I photo-shopped them blue. ( Strangely she looks just like my anime character named "Queen Scora Intelligence". Scora is a 7 foot 10 tall woman with ruby framed glasses. It's always funny when I see people looking like her, minus the height of course.)

All Kax does is reflecting damage, both energy and kinetic -- yes a Vesta with Yellowstone pets. His energy dps can be just ignored, completely, because it is so low or virtually non-existent.
By design, ships that are FBP III capable cannot have high dps. Your expectation that they have high dps while having FBP III is not a fair one. Actually, I lied, it is now possible but only very recently with one particular class of ship.
If you want, I can show you such a ship, with about 5.5 Tact Consoles + a monstrous FBP factor and can drain you dry in seconds. I have to admit, I cheated - I recently started testing it secretly and quietly in Kerrat - got a few HOBO victims and get out - all while in radio silence - well for the most part, except being spotted by Hannibal and his German Inner Circle buddies and Tribble Queen.

KAX has a great FBP build for the arena. As a bonus you also get some funny RP.
Thx, I put some effort when making them, so hearing that they are good is rewarding.
Well, about music, every video has different kind of music, just what i feel it suits the gameplay.
(in those 2 i linked it's Star Trek music ) with SFX from star trek movies.
Hey if you like it and so do other's than so be it, for me it wasn't my taste but it is only my opinion, and it matters very little.
Everyone is entitled to their own likes, and dislikes so despite what I disliked music wise, the videos are still far better than tons of videos made everyday by people.

But seriously, next time you're trolling the war zone, give me a heads up...you drain 'em, I'll "daylight vape" 'em...
Note: "Daylight Vape" - Using the Hirogen Hunter's passive stealth to fully buff up and bull rush a target seemingly out of nowhere, using DHCs and a DBB to CRF1/BO3 them to dust. Invisible outside of 15K range, and by the time you're inside of 15K it's too late for the target to react (approach speed = 200+). My answer to the Fed side's lack of a battle cloak.
Oh, and you must scream "wheeee!" into zone chat after the kill - this part is mandatory. :P

Sounds like a 5 tac, 4 sci console ship. Pretty damaging and effective, except if the target has enough power insulators and carries ST and HE to counter Tykens and Siphon. The other drain you're using, I'm not sure how you counter that particular one. I'm guessing also some 2 piece set bonus that boosts damage 15% for polarons or tetryon weapons.

You are totally off the mark. But that's not your fault, if the design were obvious, everyone and their dog would be flying one by now. In any event, in Kerrat, it acts like a super snooper more than anything else but in a 1 vs 1 against the like of RCK or Ram happy one trick ponies, it uses a different loadout and very different style.
The testing in Kerrat was about snopping effectiveness.
Today I met a FBPer on Palisade in PvP, whole team started targeting him. He used FBP and suddenly everyone ceased fire. Yap, no shots, just surrounded by us.
FBP ended, heavy fire landed on him. He tried to RSP, we subnuked (he did not even had ST I guess) and brutally died. He hardly did something for his team, had weaksauce healing and offensive capabilities.

Palisade isnt the best choice for a team viable (not convinced a sci should use it at all tbh) feedback build much better in a Vesta or dyson ship, something that has 4 tac consoles to supplement.

To which I say Subnuke Beam, then torps, if need be, photonic shockwave for you to buy a few seconds to take down the AA.
