for gaurdians, i actually like not knowing the plot, tho it'll probably be about the team getting together

Oh for sure, there's nothing more irritating than feeling like you know the entire story of a film based on the trailer alone...but I felt that the first trailer was more a collection of moments meant to show off the action/comedy tone of the movie (they did a great job, I loved that trailer). But I'm glad the 2nd one shows a bit more story, and a sense that there will be actual dramatic stakes.
You're right. The work here is very important.

I'm especially curious about the giant rotting head.... I mean.... it's HUGE.... And what race is Glenn Close's character? My first impression is Shi'ar. they look pretty much human, except for the feathers they have instead of hair.

If the Kree are involved, the giant rotting head might be the Supreme Intelligence. Who has been shown to be a real **** in the comics.

Well... I don't think so. It's big, but not something that dwarfs a starship(albeit a small one). In the clip it's off in the distance surrounded by what looks like a nebula and the ship is flying towards it.

I looked the film up on the wiki. Glenn Close is listed as playing "Nova Prime Rael". So I guess the Nova Corps will have a big role in the movie.

I think I figured out what the rotting head is: Knowhere it's the head of a (dead) Celestial.

A few hiccups have occurred in the creation of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Frankly, Wright's departure and the script rewrites might be a good thing. I'm a bit leary of the "highly original ideas" bit. I realize the MCU will be different than the comics, but the idea is to make the differences practically invisible, not dramatic.

I'm still puzzled why Michael Douglas will be Ant-Man. Great actor, to be sure, but I'd expect Hank to be around 30 to 40, not 70 (by the time they get to filming this).

If Daredevil has to delay, fine. Just make it awesome and worth the delay.

Yeah, it's a bad idea to make it different just for the sake of being different. Now, some things make sense, like redoing the roster of Apocalypse's Horsemen every time you use them. Modified character origins are fine too, as long as it's not something ridiculously different.... like whether WW is an Amazon.... The Spiderman origin change they did for the 90s cartoon was pretty good. He was bitten by a radioactive spider, but unlike the comics it was a special form of radiation that caused the bite to give him powers.
