It is quite possible that Garrett had a double or triple concentrated dose - and thus went to madness quicker. We really do not know what Flowers did to his version of the serum.
And was I the only one hoping Namor would show up to save Fitz and Simmons?
Hmm... What if the alien is not a Kree but an Atlantean? They are generally blue.
STO is about my Liberated Borg Federation Captain with his Breen 1st Officer, Jem'Hadar Tactical Officer, Liberated Borg Engineering Officer, Android Ops Officer, Photonic Science Officer, Gorn Science Officer, and Reman Medical Officer jumping into their Jem'Hadar Carrier and flying off to do missions for the new Romulan Empire. But for some players allowing a T5 Connie to be used breaks the canon in the game.
May's choice of weapon in the "barbershop": very cool reference to the earlier season. Should have kept it for Ward. Or did it get knocked from her hand in the earliest moments?
I think she dropped it willingly. Shame - a berserker staff fed by rage would be a good fit for her. :P
Discovery of how thin a connection to Hydra Ward actually has: plays into my theory that he is the "Angel" of this Joss Whedon series, walking the tightrope between good and bad. We'll see him good again for a time, I suspect. And then bad again. And then good again...
I don't think I could accept that - they've established that he was never mind-controlled or anything like that, and he's shot far too many people in the face for me to believe he could ever truly be redeemed. At least Angel had a mystical angle to explaining his shifting allegiances.
Cobie's husband, Taran Killam, is on SNL in NYC. She is ecstatic that HIMYM is now finished and she can live on the same coast as her husband. You should not expect to see her in any TV series for quite some time - unless it is filmed in NY, or her husband leaves SNL, or they separate.
...talking to players is like being a mall Santa. Everyone immediately wants to tell you all of the things they want, and you are absolutely powerless to deliver 99% of them.
GH-325 was a significant part of the TAHITI procedure. I think it was pre-death Coulson's working hypothesis that it was responsible for the subjects becoming insane; it's one of the reasons he really didn't want Skye to know how he'd saved her (somehow, keeping the subjects ignorant seems to delay or prevent the onset of insanity).
Then again, Garrett may have succumbed so quickly because he was halfway to crazy anyway.
I wonder if we're going to find out (since it would appear that the source of GH-325 was a Kree) that the writing on the wall is Kree symbology - although at first it looked almost as if Coulson had been roughing out a flowchart on (in?) the wall. And what does it mean? Can it be used to build Nega-Bands, thus giving them a Captain Marvel without the need for a Kree deserter?
ah, so the formula is what brings out the alien mind-think. My mistake was in believing this was all internal to the episode.
So GH-325 apparently has a genetic memory factor. If it is Kree, that has some interesting possibilities. Some fans have already suggested Skye is a Kree and just doesn't know it. She may already be tapped into some of those universal concepts Garrett was going on about. At least in regards to computer technology. *does some quick reading* I see there is a hybridized, more durable line of Kree that are pink-skinned and can pass as caucasian humans. I say "durable" because blue Kree apparently have trouble breathing in our atmosphere without assistance.
I saw some speculation elsewhere on the Interwebs that Raina's "evolution" obsession, particularly her, "What will I become" line, may be further evidence that the Inhumans, and terrigenesis, are part of the MCU master plan, since mutants are off the table.

She threw it at the wall to trap the Centipede soldiers under the barbershop. It would be nice for her to retrieve it though. :P
But yeah, it's looking more and more like Raina, Skye, etc... are Inhumans, and the Kree are involved somehow.
One thing that bothers me and I suspect will get touched on later is how Raina knew where to find Skye's father....

Hmm.. speculation on another forum is that it's not scribbles, but Kree text.
Someone elsewhere pulled up a shot of that "equation" Ward got a look at way back near the beginning of the season - around the fourth episode, I think? - and in addition to two columns of what look like a Klingon doctor's prescription, there's a section that's covered with little circles and ovals connected by a meshwork of straight lines...

Found a screencap. It's from Episode 4, "Eye Spy"; Ward went in with glasses built by Fitz t o intercept the signals going to they artificial eye of Akela, an old associate of Coulson's, so that they could take the eye (and its explosive device) out of her head while the Clairvoyant thought she was completing her mission. The mission turned out to be getting a look at a blackboard in a secure facility in Belarus. This was what the blackboard looked like:

I kind of accepted that Raina knows a lot more than those around her credit her for, but she plays her hand close to the vest, as it were.
That said, what really interested me was the apparent condition of the father: human arm, seemingly injured dripping blood. That much loss would be critical, and likely fatal if left unchecked, yet "Flowers" acted nonchalantly when addressing him. We also have her claim that at one point the parents were the monsters attacking a village. Don't know if it is a sign of Inhumans or not, but I'm getting the vibe that there is a parent with genetics possibly allowing transformation, definitely working with a super healing factor of some kind (to reproduce enough blood to sustain such losses), but whose genetics are breaking down. If this theory holds water, then Skye's genetics hold a key for repair.
I was reviewing the season finale, in specific the scene where Raina speaks with whom she claims is the father of Skye. I wanted to see if there was anything in the room that would indicate more about the person. Actually, the room was incredible non-descript and elements blended into each other...except for a very familiar, standout, repeating X-in-O pattern over the window the camera was facing. Oh, and it was repeated 6 times.
Hmm...wonder if there's anything in the Marvel universe with such a recognizable motif where six repetitions might suggest, oh, maybe an original team roster or something?
*cough*Xavier,Cyclops,Jean,Beast,Iceman,Angel*cough*

Subtle play, A.o.S.
Too bad Fox has the X-Men rights tied up so tightly AoS can't even us the word "mutant" - because with all Flowers' talk about evolution, it would be interesting if Skye turned out to have something to do with the Summers clan's perennial nemesis (well, former perennial nemesis), Mister Sinister. (Yes, it's a dumb name, and his outfit was just too Liefeld for words, but the character was pretty cool anyway.)

Yeah, Mister Sinister can be pretty good, if you can get past all the layers of goofiness on top of it.
The High Evolutionary was an acolyte of Sinister, and probably isn't tied up in the X-Men film rights.

Sinister would look right at home at a K.I.S.S. concert. Never did like his outfit nor his moniker. That said, I liked his Victorian mad scientist alter-ego Nathaniel Essex. If I recall correctly, Essex was not born a mutant, but was modified by Apocalypse. Mutate. Mutant. I suppose Trask wouldn't care about the difference. Sadly, I don't think there's any way for Marvel to extricate Essex from their arrangement with Fox. He'd certainly be an interesting opponent in the MCU.
Also..."former"? I've not followed comics of late. Did they kill him off?

Double-checking my facts, I see that while I did see him die in the "Avengers vs X-Men" storyline, incinerated by the Phoenix Force, they later found an excuse to bring him back again (hid himself inside the mind of Cyclops' head of PR for the island the X-Men lived on, and made himself another new body later), so he's not as dead as all that after all. Sad, really. They shouldn't be so afraid to let the good guys win and move on to a whole new antagonist.

1 and 2 catch my attention because I don't recognize some of the letters, 3 catches my attention for being an alphabetic sequence. hmm... strange place to see Skrull writing though...... Maybe this is a hint that the MCU will do the Kree-Skrull war?
Putting Raina's comments into perspective.... Maybe Raina and Skye are Skrulls? Part of the backstory of the Skrulls in the comics is that they were trying to jump start their own evolution to gain an advantage in the Kree-Skrull war.

I don't see how Marvel can do one without the other showing up. The two races are completely intertwined story-wise. At least they were, prior to the Ultimate universe. Don't know now. Chitari (used in the MCU) were supposed to be the Ultimate version of Skrull were they not?
Also, Skrull would not be just a character swap with English, or any other Earth language, would it? I wouldn't put it past Marvel to have linguists develop a language for them, like Klingon or Quinya.

They already made a cipher.... but it's not a simple cipher. Each Skrull letter can have as few as 1(if it's only used to represent an uppercase letter) or as many as 4 (if it's used for 2 lower case and a punctuation mark) counterparts in English.
I was wondering how closely Guardians of the Galaxy was going to tie into the Earthbound MCU material...the post-credits scene of Thor: The Dark World confirmed there would be a connection, but AoS seems to be setting things up to be more deeply interwoven than I had expected.
...talking to players is like being a mall Santa. Everyone immediately wants to tell you all of the things they want, and you are absolutely powerless to deliver 99% of them.
from what I've read, Marvel intends for the MCU to be very tightly integrated across both movies and television shows.
It's the last part of your sentence that worries me sometimes.
My greatest fear is that AoS is going to get the short end of the stick, constantly being used primarily to set up and resolve the bigger-budget, more profitable films. To an extent, I think we saw this during Season 1, as the show danced around the HYDRA reveal until The Winter Soldier was released, which IMO really hurt the momentum of those early episodes. Similarly, the series needs at least some room to breathe, without periodically getting swept into crossing over with the events of the latest film.
I think the fact that S.H.I.E.L.D. is now a shadow of its former self, and no longer the connective tissue of the the narrative universe, will help in that regard.
And I do think they've done a good job overall...better than they do in the comics at any rate, where series are pretty frequently derailed by crossovers.

I'm actually willing to cut them a lot of slack during the first season. The first season of TNG was nothing to write home about either, as you may recall - a first season for an ensemble show has to spend a lot of time setting up the characters, so we give a TRIBBLE about what happens to them later.
It would be interesting to see Coulson or May show up in the Daredevil series - or any of the upcoming Netflix series.

I kid, somewhat - I was pretty excited about the first trailer, but it's nice to see some more hints of the plot in this one.
for gaurdians, i actually like not knowing the plot, tho it'll probably be about the team getting together
