Absolutely, Canada is the second largest country in the world, after all. I just find it unlikely for her to drive 500 miles within Canada with a car tagged from Ohio. ;)

Mind you, maybe the license plates are an elaborate deception to obscure her true Canadian roots! You can never be too careful with those super-spies.

An angle I hadn't considered. This is true, perhaps she is a Cannuck after all!

A lot of the internet chatter I'm seeing elsewhere indicates a lot of people are still expecting Ward's feelings for Skye to lead to him turning against HYDRA. They're citing their little heart-to-heart chat about his past and how he's not a good person as evidence.

I think that he's already too far gone to switch sides, and that everything he says is a load of BS designed to manipulate her into decrypting the hard drive.

    Thoughts?

I do think what he did to Koenig confirms him as bad boy. Lock, stock, and smoking barrel.

That said, this is Joss Whedon's project we're talking about. Has he ever done a series where a violent, extremely bad boy has been redeemed by love for the girl the show somewhat revolves around? In fact, has suggested bad boy ever vacillated between good and evil even after joining the side of...um...angels?

Well...you ain't wrong. I do think that'd be a lot harder to pull off on AoS, since as far as we're aware, Ward didn't have his soul extracted by HYDRA. :)

Agreed. Though I'm holding out hope that Koenig pulled some kind of miraculous switcheroo, either by using an LMD, or perhaps the heart-stopping drug Nick Fury used in Winter Soldier, to fake his death.

Between the interrogation and his facial expressions when Ward started talking about decrypting the hard drive for the second time, Koenig seemed to suspect something was up.

And it'd be a shame to lose the character.

Yeah, about that...Hydra has Loki's staff. Remember what it did to Hawkeye? That said, there are two big ol' flies in the ointment:

    1. At what point would Ward be turned by the staff, and would it make him believe a different history of himself where he willingly joined HYDRA before the Loki's invasion?

    2. Ward took a pretty good thrashing to the head by Garrett. We've twice seen where a really hard hit to the head breaks the "spell". So, no spell, or a harder hit needed.

I hope they go even farther in the other direction. Make Ward a hardcore HYDRA member, and have him kill Garrett since he's not, in his own words, a "true believer."

Some of the peep son another forum have speculated that she might be Kree, or part Kree.

It's happened in the comics. Suzy Sherman grew up as a "normal" kid, until she became a teenager and her powers started to manifest. She then learned she was part Kree, and that she was strong enough to rip giant robots apart with her bare hands. :P

As for Skye, there's been hints that her ability with computers may not be a skill, but a superpower.

So you're saying she became Magnus, Robot Fighter?

Why do I get the feeling that Coulson is headed for the very breakdown May was supposed to guard against? Especially when he realizes May has left and he cannot apologize, he left Koenig to die, his psuedo-daughter Skye is in mortal peril and his team member Ward is yet another close friend/teammate that betrayed him.

I believe they do, though I hope they don't throw that into the current universe. I just don't want Ironman taking on a bunch of Vampires or Werewolves. Blade should stick to his own little universe. Lets keep this current one somewhat credible.

In the current MCU, they've established that the mystical alien Norse god Thor and the purely technological, science-based character Iron Man can co-exist. They've also name-dropped Doctor Strange.

Large doses of gamma radiation can cause you to turn into a giant green rage monster. There's a glowing blue cube that can be used as a nigh-infinite energy source.

In a few months, we're going to meet a team of space travelers which includes a living tree and a talking raccoon.

And you're worried about vampires being too implausible: :P

I do wonder how they will get elements like Ghost Rider (with the daemons), Dr. Strange (with the magic), Scarlet Witch (again magic), and all them magic ninjas from Elektra to work in the MCU? All the Asguardian stuff is alien, will the Daemons be aliens as well?

Also when will we find out that Sky's a vampire?

I'd guess about a split second after Ward finds out, the hard way, that she wasn't getting close to snuggle.

This week's AoS was pretty enjoyable yet again. Of course, I'm a sucker for any show featuring a flying car falling from an airplane. Easy to please, I guess. On the other hand, I'm a little annoyed at Colonel Talbot's flagrant disregard for Canadian sovereignty.

The big reveals this week were nice. We got confirmation that Maria Hill is working for Stark in the private security business. Ward's big deception has been revealed to all. And most importantly, Coulson himself was in charge of Project T.A.H.I.T.I., pre-mindwipe. Lots to consider.

One thing I'm not looking forward to is a lengthy set of flashbacks to Ward's childhood. I just don't care...

Ward can haz dai nao? lol

I was totally expecting Skye to hack Deathlok. Maybe later. :P

We still haven't found out why Skye reacted differently to the GH drug than Coulson's test subjects did. I mean here we found out that the stuff was very consistent in driving humans insane.... But not Skye.

Oh and Skye totally said it.... HAIL HYDRA! :D

I still hope they keep Ward around as a recurring villain.

I would actually love to see Skye hack Deathlok. Now that you've said it, I feel like it has to happen.

Obviously the T.A.H.I.T.I. storyline is still ongoing, but I'd say Skye's different reaction is either due to her status as a Beautiful and Unique Snowflake, or simply that her treatment is fairly recent compared with Coulson's.

I dunno, T.A.H.I.T.I. wasn't the first hint in the show that she's not normal. We also have her... odd... explanation for why she's such a good hacker. And more importantly:
Lumley reveals that Skye herself was an “0-8-4” that an entire Chinese village had died to protect, while the agents tasked with protecting her were slowly killed off, at least until they managed to hide her existence by shuffling her around to different orphanages.
Kinda makes you wonder doesn't it?

Oh yeah, I think that's almost certainly the explanation...I just couldn't remember the "084" code, was too lazy to look it up, and decided to go with "Beautiful and Unique Snowflake" instead.

    The answer is quite simple.

    TRIBBLE.

Also, has anyone caught those Howling Commando references lately? First the mention of Triplett's famous grandfather as a Howling Commando in "The Only Light in the Darkness", now Maria Hill says that Congress asked "Who or what is a Man-Thing?"

The monsters are real, people. And with Whendon at the helm, you KNOW they're going to look and be spectacular!
