Because Cryptic didn't say no to a T5 Constitution, ludicrous as such a thing might be (T3 maybe, T4 at the outside - but a Rear Admiral's vessel??). Cryptic took our requests to CBS, who holds the rights to everything Trek. CBS said no. And whining to Cryptic, or your fellow players, about it will get you exactly nowhere.

Just be patient. This entire issue gets re-evaluated after the third film, and after Bad Robot and its licensing issues get sorted.

How could they bring the TOS Constitutions back in service when there were only 12? IRC almost all were lost. TMP refits maybe...but not the original TOS 12.
There was a lot more than 12 Constitutions. Kirk's line was in service at the time, which meant that specific time (2267). Only the Enterprise, the Constellation, the Defiant, and the Intrepid were lost or destroyed. The Excalibur can be counted in there too. That's half of the ships listed at Memory Alpha and they don't even consider a USS Constitution or other Encyclopedia identified ships, which would bring the count to 18.

I'd support that, seems like it would be a lot of fun! It'll at least give me a reason to take my old T1 Connie out of drydock for a while.

i would enjoy a T5 Connie, however there is a small problem.. its a bit... small
compared to other ships its length, they generally carry smaller crews, and are a bit bulkier.
this may be due to having thicker plating (look at that thin neck and pylons of the Connie), and more room put to more essential labs or computers.
what i think would be viable, is making a larger ship (about the size of a ambassador, or Excelsior? maybe bit smaller or bigger) with a look very similar to that of a Connie.
it won't be a Connie as it was in Kirks time, But a larger, stronger, and new, ship influenced by the design of the Connie
Yeah, I doubt the Corbomite Maneuver would work on the Borg. If it wasn't a bluff, then they lost one Cube and would know better to not mess with the Federation. If it was a bluff, then they assimilated the Enterprise. Win-win situation as far as the Borg are concerned. All that video proves is that we need to buff the Borg so that they aren't destroyed by 23rd Century Phasers.
It's bigger than the Saber, Nova and Defiant, all already at T5. And is comparable to the D7 and bigger than the T'Varo. Again all already at T5.
Size isn't an issue.
You know what the crew size on my Kumari is?
85 people.
It's a pretty decent ship in terms of T5 functionality. But is kind of small. And has a tiny crew.
defiant has a crew of 50.

Cryptic must abide by CBS's instructions in order to (maintain the license?).
Thus, it's a ban.
If Cryptic defies CBS and does its own thing, that would be breaking whatever legal contract they have. Breaking the contract is not legal.
