I still have this amusing idea for how they could keep the old Typhoon-class around as a Terran NPC...
When any Mirror Invasion rift expands to max size, and once every 15 seconds while at least one such rift exists, a check is made for the appearance of a special 'mini-boss' (10% chance). This mini-boss is a Typhoon with battle cloak and very powerful torpedoes. Note: only one can ever appear in any given MI run.
Three guesses what its captain thought would be an amusing name for the vessel, and the first two don't count.
