Not as amazing as some acting like a smaller cup size being available means they're going to lose their bridge full of TRIBBLE chicks.

Replying to both of you at once because you're both idiots of the same type.
Lock this thread. Nothing more needs to be said here. It is a dead topic about a non-relevant issue that doesn't affect gameplay (i.e. bug, legality, etc). Just a person who wants something added to the game for themselves.

Oh, right: because TRIBBLE are involved. :D

When I make a KDF toon, I'm putting into my Orions' backstory that they all think the guy who designed the Syndicate uniforms was a perv.

No, it's not. The forum is full of that. Almost every suggestion thread ever is people asking for their personal opinions to get catered to.

Can you please stick to this topic or if it is about Caitians (although after reading about Caitians, it does not seem they have more than the usual amount of assets, so I suspect yet another trolling attempt..), post it there? If you want to suggest that, please make a topic about that, to not derail mine. Thank you. :P

Also expecting people like captainbailey and jexsamx make arguments as to why my suggestion is any worse than any other cosmetic/aesthetic threads, further proving my point about some people's lack of tolerance and/or lack of reading skills, in case they are afraid this topic is about taking their "boob parade" from their own characters.

Lose the gender politics/victimhood schtick and you might elicit more sympathy. Nobody is going to appreciate the implication that they are oppressive bigots for not unquestioningly supporting your "cause". Just saying.

Okay... I'm sorry. I was just trying to hint, in a humorous way, that after 18 pages, this topic is getting stale. With all the other issues, and bugs, that are in the character generator, not to mention the game as a whole, flat chested, breast size, just isn't that important. It doesn't prevent the big fish, who are largely the players responsible for keeping this game financially viable, from purchasing lockbox keys by the bucketload. That being said, it's unlikely to be rectified in the immediate future, if at all. Most players would just be happy if they fixed the clipping issues, or the disappearing armor, and bodyparts issues. When you've got a character that is invisible above the waist, save for ears, hair, and eyeballs, it puts the whole flat chested thing in perspective, doesn't it?
I personally have no troubles with supporting the game when I can. Quite frankly, I've had so much fun playing it, that I consider buying Lifetime sub, already paid for some services, because I want to believe that every little amount spent will support the game and the developpers.. aside of PWE filling their pockets. Happy players, when they can afford it, will support the game from their pockets. Just saying; because even things like that can make the game more pleasing, thus even more compelled to support the devs, so technically, even requests of aesthetic nature may be a source of extra income for them.

Those are all stupid threads too; the Galaxy thread is a bunch of butthurt fanboys who aren't happy with the niche their ship fills and want it changed for no other reason than to satisfy their desire to play the ship instead of, I dunno, playing a ship better suited to them or learning to play the Galaxy as is. And the Khev thread is just a bunch of people who for whatever reason don't like it when the game improves.

Though the Caitian one is actually arguing for something that's presently lacking. Caitians and Ferasans don't have as much customization as most other races, even including KDF races which are perpetually shafted. So that one's okay.

Again, a bust slider to flat chest doesn't solve anything, doesn't add anything meaningful, and would require a fair bit of work to accomplish. Not worth it just to satisfy OP.

When the OP asked for limits on the alien height slider so that her request would be okay, they became a hypocrite.

The call from the OP has been , I don't want to limit anyone, I just want more options. Yet, as soon as someone mentioned that smaller bust slider plus current minimum size on alien height meant the ability to make children, the OP response was ...

...then limit the height slider on aliens because it makes no sense to be that small. (DIRECTLY calling for a limit on something in order to make her idea and request more possible.)

The OP cannot call for "More Options for Everyone!" as a rallying cry, and then say "EXCEPT for the alien height slider, because that makes no sense!"

That's hypocritical. OP becomes not worth listening to at that point.

Does not mean that the point of the original post is wrong, only that indeed, if it will advance their agenda, the OP is just fine with limiting some other aspect of things. What about people who have created short alien characters ? Who is the OP to tell them that it's not allowed?

But as I say, the original point is valid. With the current character editor we cannot portray a full range of human body types. (NOT JUST FEMALE). The changes I have seen from tribble are a nice start to making people look a bit more like people.

So, yes, they need to increase the options within the editor. However, someone who calls for doing that while at the same time calling to limit other peoples creativity within the editor will never gain my support.

EDIT : Seriously, 20 pages about this?

As someone involved in those threads as well as this one I feel the need to respond to your general ignorance.
Galaxy thread: "Butt hurt fanboys" A few of us, myself included, pointed out that following the cruiser line the Galaxy is worse than the previous tier cruiser. This indicates something broken in the model as designed and should be looked at.
Tovan thread: Altered the nature of the game in a haphazard manner. One locked in BOFF on a full customization game from out of no where bothers a few people. Also he is broken Nimbus is required for all three factions. So why is Tovan speaking for all three factions first officers?
Caitian thread: Actually have not gotten involved on that one. But how is asking for more stuff alright there but not for character customization across the board? (This thread.) or fix broken schemes? (Galaxy thread) or broken mechanics? (Tovan thread)

Please explain why one thread is superior in your opinion than another.

I've since then, re-stated, that if there was any issue with small aliens, because of some 'supposedly look like children' and due to alien creator not limiting minimal height and as such, flat chest could technically allow for children like characters. So, if they'd simply add the flat choices to canon races, which already do have limitation in minimal height, whereas things would stay as they are for the alien creator when it comes to chest sizes - as that's something people already have and thus both give more choices and not take anything away from already existing characters. So, nothing would be at loss. One poster inspired me with that idea, and I definitelly find that as far better option, because adding options is nice, taking some away, however, is not.

I want to make this happen, I am trying to find a solution, even if there was this "supposedly child issue", rather than saying why it is not possible and not try finding reasonable alternatives.

Makes me sad that trivial request like that takes 20 pages as well, trust me. As quite frankly, if the devs added lower scale to the minimum bust setting, without even mentioning it, I doubt people would even complain and in some cases, even notice, as long as everything stayed the same on the upper scale....

Says someone, who is involved other aesthetic topic 13 pages long and supporting it. But, I see. TRIBBLE are like a fight club. You don't talk about TRIBBLE. If you do, then you have crowds attacking you for even mentioning it. As someone already said in this topic - some people need to grow up.

I would like an "Increase My Package Size" slider in addition to bigger TRIBBLE. I would also like a slider that will make said TRIBBLE look haggard . . . kind of like looking at a couple of tennis balls hanging out of a pair of tube socks.

    Mmmm . . . TRIBBLE. LMAO

*Sorry but after taking the time to read this TRIBBLE, I cant beleive this is actually a topic people are getting heated about. Let me make my toon the way I want it to look. The End.*

the difference with the Caitian thread is that it's not just talking about the same idea ad infinitum. It's a variety of ideas as to how to possibly improve the looks of both Caitians and Ferasans.

I don't think it's a bad idea, lots of women have flat chests. What we have right now is simply unrealistic.

Do I think we are requesting it the wrong way? Possibly. I don't think anyone should take this conversation as seriously as we are (I mean... we are talking about pixelated TRIBBLE right? Are we all on the same page with that at least?) so there's no reason to get bent out of shape.

Tbh, the thread would not be such a mess, if some people did not barge in, hating it just because "TRIBBLE mentioned". It's disturbing how a relatively simple aesthetic/cosmetic change can make people upset, when they'd not even lose anything. and as I said, if the developpers reduced the minimal slider to lower side, without saying anything here, I doubt people would go and complain about it. So really, it's just weird people had to get troll'ish and nasty here.

That happens to every thread no matter how innocuous. Coming from someone who has been involved in forums in one capacity or another for the past 8 years or so, it's best to ignore those people.

Going back to the topic at hand however, Cryptic has a kind of a long history with top heavy women. I've heard the "child TRIBBLE" excuse myself, but I've never seen it. Personally, I just think they were using the Champions engine, and never changed the bustline parameters. I have no idea if that's true or not, just a theory.

I mentioned the child avatar possibility a while ago. And was told it can't be it because the champions engine does allow smaller busts.

Personally the dismissal about something in a computer game being 'just pixelated' <insert item>. Seems bad form as all of it is pixelated. If bust size cannot be discussed because it is pixelated imagery, then we may not request nor be disappointed by the pixelated ships, or anything else in the game.

Well, in comic books, characters are almost always drawn to be easily recognizable as male or female. this naturally leads to somewhat exaggerated proportions. It's not necessarily bad though.

Not only is your post insulting to OP, but it's not true at all. The validity of OP wanting to increase slider options in one area is not effected at all by OP's other claim. Not only that, OP could still realize how hypocritical the statement about the alien sliders is and retract the statement.

Progress of one opinion should never be limited because of the existence of a regressive opinion, as it would simply cause more regression. After all, this topic is about the validity of the subject of the proposal. Not our personal stances for or against OP.
