But this is a really nice thing to do and to me, it makes up for all of that and adds a little more (Positive). If we really get a nice T5 Ship to use I would be over the moon...Well I might need to borrow that new spaceship first . Keep up the great work Devs!

I doubt they will give away a popular item like a Garumba, or a C-store ship with a popular console. My bet is they will give away the Galaxy Retrofit (since nobody likes playing the Galaxy since the Odyssey is superior). With the Klingons, likely be one of the Orion ships or the SuQob Raptor (which was already given away for free before).
Other things likely to be given away: C-store Tribbles, the Melee Weapon Pack (useless weapons), or outfits nobody buys (Bajoran Uniforms, etc).
Hello. I'm a somewhat new beginner. Only been playing for a couple of months. I'm a free-to-play player and I mostly do this game on the side. That said, I noticed some things, like for example the master key, are needed to get into the lock boxes. Currently, there are three ways to do this, buy Zen, exchange dilithium or energy credits on the exchange. Well, unfortunately I am free-to-play for a reason and getting enough dilithium(13,625-14,250 depending on the exchange rate just for one key) to continually keep opening lock boxes is rather..... exhausting considering I only play this game a couple of hours a day and not even consistently. And the exchange costs at least a few million.
And I know there are more than a few people in my predicament. I guess what I'm getting at is I have an idea for you. One day during this event, or perhaps just a special one-day event sometime in the future, have a free "all-you-can-claim" master key giveaway. Limit it at say, 200 keys and make every key given out that day bind on pickup so players aren't tempted to just horde them and then sell them on the exchange market for outrageous amounts of energy credits.
Don't get me wrong, I am not unhappy with the giveway and I am not trying to look a gift horse in the mouth. I am just merely suggesting a proposal. Chances are, I'll be trying to log in at least once every day of this event just so I can get all the goodies. Like I said, I only play part time so the really good goodies are hard to come by and I currently have about two hundred lock boxes sitting in my bank, hoping I get enough dilithium for the keys since I'll never get all the energy credits, lol.
Anyway, like I said, I will be enjoying the giveaway and I just wanted to present an idea for you to consider.

My bet for the ship will be one T3, then on day 5 either a T4 or T5 ship. Personally I'm hoping T5, obviously.
I'm guessing theyll be older designs whose sales have lost steam, or ones who were never THAT popular to be given with.

I would like to thank you for doing this. It will be interesting to see what will be free next week. This is not the first time you have given out free stuff in the past from the cstore. It was the connie and one of the kdf ships. I am sure those two will be on the list.
I know some of the stuff, I may have but it still will be interesting to see what will be available.
When it comes to the ships, I am sure it will be low level and older ships that will be available. If you think about it, not everyone buys the low level ships because you are only in there for a short time so its not worth it. As for the RA/VA ships, people are more interested in the 3 packs these days which I am sure is making them money.

There seems to be some confusion regarding my statement above, so I just want to make sure it's clear Please note the "on the days that we're giving away ships..." part. As in, if it's not a ship (Monday's costume, as an example), it will be one item only for one faction. In Monday's example, Federation.

Hey Bran, with the C-store no longer being accessible from the website, is there a chance there will be an alternative to claim these items without logging in to the game itself? I drive truck and am away from home for days at a time, making it rather difficult, if not outright impossible to participate in these things, like that Worf forehead/sash giveaway a while back.
I'd imagine that I'm not the only one with a similar situation, even if it's only a few, and think it's safe to say we're all a little tired of always missing out on everything.

This is likely a promotion to get people to Play The Game.
I doubt that They will make the items available in any other manner, other than to sign in to the game and claim them.
Do we have to be at the required rank to claim a ship, or is the required rank only the minimum we need?
The C-Store won't let a toon claim any ship that is above their current rank/level.
So the toon you use to claim the item, has to be at or above the required level to claim that item.

As these are to be account unlocks, I've a question (might seem an obvious answer, but I'd like to clear it up for my own sake anyway). If I (with a level #50 character) claim one of these rewards (lets say for arguments sake it's a Tier #5 Ship that you need to be level #50 to claim) will that unlock be unlocked for collection by later toons?
I'm working on getting one of my FED characters to 50 this weekend; I've another that's level 32 (along with two KDF characters also in their high 20's/low 30's). I don't want to miss out on potential level #50 items if my characters aren't at the required level.
Thus, if something (of level #50) is acquired for free with a level #50 toon, will it still be free to acquire on another toon once that toon reaches #50?
Normally this would apply to account unlocks, so the typical answer would be yes, however this is a summer event thing, and might not work as it normally does.

I'm inclined to say: "Duh! Of course you can!" Seriously, though, it would be TRIBBLE, on PWE's end, to not let you claim a ship below your current level. That would make no sense, whatso-frakkin'-ever.
Why is it that as soon as I heard the word 'requirements' I immediately became suspicious that these requirements are something to the effect of 'must have max tier in 1 or more reputation systems' or 'must have x number of fleet projects done' or something along those lines
I can't think of any other reason to have 'requirements' stated at this point unless something like that is going to be the catch. If it was just a matter of being level 50 there would be no need to wait to announce requirements

The only reason the company would do this is to maximize their profits by giving away lower tier ships to encourage people to buy fleet modules/higher tier ships to use the lower consoles or give away non-selling items like racing uniforms or DS9 uniform bundles as promotional material.
Seeing as the melee pack isn't account-wide, and neither are the tribbles currently available from the C-Store, and there aren't any emotes in the C-Store in the first place...
DS9 uniform, TMP uniform, and unpopular ships are the only viable options here.
Still, seeing as the DS9 uniform and the T5 Defiant are the only non-Romulan C-Store stuff I have... I'm perfectly fine with "unpopular ships". :P
Infinite possibilities have implications that could not be completely understood if you turned this entire universe into a giant supercomputer.
