Miranda is really a medium cruiser and CBS know how to take the fun out the game. That is why this game get dry after awhile compared to the old modded ones.

The problem is those people who want a T5 fleet Miranda don't want a normal ship, they want some super ship with more weapons than a fleet, a insane number of hull points, and shields no weapon can touch.

I would love a T5 fleet Miranda, I could care less about it's stats not being as high as other cruisers, I really don't think it should anyways. Hell I just want a Miranda that can go into ESTF's and PvP and do somthing useful.

There really needs to be an automatic lock for threads that have not been posted in for 30 days. That way mods won't need to worry about setting fire to these necro threads.

The Saber class basically replaced the Miranda class.

Yes ships can be upgraded and routinely are but there's a limit to how much you could upgrade a ship where it would be more cost effective in materials and manpower to just build a new ship from the ground up.

Theoretically you could make a Miranda vessel as powerful as a Defiant class but it would take longer to gut the ship and rebuild it rather than a new defiant or saber.

first off the Nebula replaced the Miranda not the saber.

as while i do agree with a limit on upgrades the sad fact is with the excelsior being a one of the most powerful ships in game it renders even logic mute.

I'm all for putting in the Miranda and Connie-Refit for valid T5 use. However, I do not agree that their hulls should be close to "modern" ship designs. For one, ships have gotten bigger since the days of TOS. A Miranda is dwarfed by the TNG equivalent, the Nebula. The Galaxy and Sovereign likewise dwarf the Constitutions. Large, new ships are just more durable.

That said, I'm sure stats can be manipulated to forge the way for light cruisers and such.

all arguments based on canon stats are invalid. I am sick of seeing the same TRIBBLE used to stop these ships from being added. This game has no canonized balancing, because its balanced for game purposes and to make a profit.
I would not fly any of them personally, and Maybe or maybe not cbs vetoed them. point is they should be equal to all other t5 ships if added.

I'll go for the weaker hulls on them when the jhas gets its canon stats. I.E shock troop ships.

I'll listen to canon arguments when all the lockbox ships, romulans in esd, jem and reman boffs, ect are gone. and the newer ships like avenger are stripped back to a standard cruiser and when everything dies against borg cubes.

until then, the only reason these ships should not be allowed in is if cbs vetoed it. they should not have any handicap for playing with them if ever added..

I'd rather see t5 Constitutions, miranda's and Nx's then jem ships, elachi TRIBBLE, tholian ships and romulans around esd.

it'd be a cruiser and as such have cruiser stats. Maybe -10% hull for a standard .1 shield mod added on. . I'd also strip the dhcs from it as well.

Game balance > canonized Junk. Size matters not in this game.
