Well I got the Risan "c"orvette for my alt (my Tactical character) but missed it for my main (Eng) by 2 PEARLS!
I started late for my Eng and in the last week I finally realized that it was barely going to make it, so to compensate I ground for Dilithium to get lockboxes for Lobi to get pearls. Due to life and such (which of course takes priority) and the Dilithium cap, I could not do it in time.
Just 2 pearls! Oh, well, he's got other decent escorts and is best in a cruiser anyways.
Now I have to get the corvette tuned for speed and firepower, seems a little slow right now.
Question: Didn't they put the Chel Gret in the Lobi store for a while after the Winter Event? I thought that people had a chance to use Lobi to get it afterwards. I'd just have to get 1 more lockbox to buy more pearls to get the ship.

My fed is fine with mobius, my klink is fine with vor'cha battlecruiser (engineer holds up pretty well in PvP so no need for Corvette) and rommie has the Corvette.
I guess that, without dancing, I was pointing to the extension and the supposed date of the 5th of August with a view to making sure that even satisfied customers that thought the details could have been given in a more effective delivery method were supported.
Seeing as I value subscribers and LTS my point will probably be lost on you, but it means that the subscribers / LTS that have been favouring their real lives didn't feel as though they were losing out, in the same vein mentioned in the Tal Shiar Lockbox post - Boxes out of service on the 15th too.
You can go blind in this eye or that eye. Either way, I was happy with the event, think of the cross-character revenues from favors and also the additional reputation gained by egg collectors to catch up to the Rep-T5 skilled oponents in both contribution based PvE and PvP.
PWE brought the event well, it was fun and great bonus content, the difference between having a new ship one day and missing out by a 1 day delay at the end..... yes if PWE put 4th August @noon (PDT) on a sign stapled to the Duty Officer screen on every account this would have been an impossible conversation to start.
It was good, but due to several dates being offered, the finale has left some players shaded.
PS the lobi pearl packs will require a maximum of 100 lobi crystals for 40 pearls. Yep, I'd be grumpy. 100 Lobi @ 4 per box is 25 keys, or ~44.3 mil energy credits. Probably be worth saving another 10-20mil and buying a lobi/lockbox ship.
EDIT: The Flying High Mission is currently active on Risa special Event.

One thing that still seems to be non-functional is the ability to slot the project... A small issue for those of us that weren't going to slot it until we had 1000 pearls.

I have 1000 pearls, but I never slotted the Corvette project in the reputation system... I was waiting until I had all the pearls.
Now when I go into the Event rep system and click "Select Active Project", ONLY the Crystalline Entity project appears on the list of available projects. There is no longer any corvette project available to slot.
I'll try to figure out how to upload a screen shot to the forums if that doesn't make sense and/or provide enough detail.
I've still no clear answer to the question: What Level do Romulan Republic characters need to be to access the Event? I've seen some contradictory statements made by many members of the community. I'd really like to know. Has someone from Cryptic/PWE made a statment on this?
if you're a FED Romulan character you can just transwarp to Sol system then go from there.
So are ALL the events from now on gonna be slots you can never change cuz if so that's gonna get old really fast when people clog their slots and cant participate in events anymore....

Unfortunately, I do *not* rejoice at this announcement of yours. :-) Not in the slightest. For I have started quite *late* with the Risian Project due to some technical issues, and right now - as my KDF is concerned - I am at 52% farther away of my ultimate goal. :-) So, *how* exactly is this going to help *me*? The 8th of August 'extension', I mean. Why not going all the way up to the 15th of August, as it *normally* should? And, even more important: why this... War of the Nerves, in the first place? :-) Because, to tell it to you straight: I do *not* buy this whole "Oops!" sort of approach of the matter at hand. :-)
N.B. I suggest incrementing the option of Zen-buying of the Risian Corvette and/or of the Lohlunat Pearls, as well.

I shouldn't think it's meant for you. You started late. There were (originally) 35 days to make 25 runs. That's a 10 day buffer. It's not really fair to come in during Sudden Death Overtime because you're only ~12-13 runs deep. You doubled-over the 10 day buffer. :eek:
While I can sympathize over your "technical issues", you'll have to wait until next year to finish. Or...
...I suggest incrementing the option of Zen-buying of the Risian Corvette and/or of the Lohlunat Pearls, as well...
And this *IS* a second option. You can use Zen (or indirectly Dilithium-to-Zen, and/or even EC via the Exchange) to purchase keys. Use the Keys to open Lock Boxes for Lobi. Use the Lobi to buy Pearls. If I recall the Dev posts correctly, the ability to purchase Lobi Pearl packs will continue through 08/15.
Be sure you go ahead and make your runs today-through-Wednesday to get those extra 120 more Pearls. That'll save you a lot of Lobi.

however i myself will still end up 4 days short on 8 toons
i really cant see why flying high cant play out till the 15th i mean the ships cant be sold and its not like the pearls can be used for something else but thats just my view
i keep on doing the event living in hope that you see the point of view a small gold member sub that really misread the event dates and started far too late to complete
Today I manage dot finally get the 1000 pearls and while there is the update notice saying the event was extended til the 7th. I cant find where to turn in the pearls to get the ship. it's not in the reputation tab. just the crystal entity event thing.

I am having the same problem here, put in a ticket but was told the problem was on my end
Hope this gets fixed as I actually sloted the project for the corvette and now its gone.
