The world servers are up, but the transfer service has crashed or something similar - you can hang out in whatever zone you're in and even chat and whatnot, but as soon as you try to move zones ore relog, you can't get anywhere.
oh and to the apologists, yep, there are other things that "could" be done, but some of us don't have alot of extra time, so when we do budget out our time for sto, we kind of expect it to work, and the "whining" isn't whining at all, it's simply voicing our frustration that we expect a certain level of service for something we paid for. If you went out to eat, a waiter takes your drink order and never comes back ever....you'd be upset, or if you buy a movie ticket walk in sit down and no movie ever plays you'd be upset as well. this is no different. so it's not whining, just a simple way of voicing dissatisfaction with the service that the player base (paying and not paying) are receiving.

I was in game for 4 hours, everything went well, when i wanted to change ships at shipyard and all were missing, thought of logging off and on again, might solve the problem.. well thats 1 hour now i try to get past the "retrieving character list" screen. when it pops me back to the start screen to type my PW... o matter how often i try, or an which computer .. always the same result.
I agree with others, what is the point of a sub if the game is always down or broken 90% of the time. They definitely get enough money to fix and run this game 100 times over, so why is it not working as it should?
