Seriously though, this kind of instability is to be expected with a major release like LoR. When Blizzard launched Burning Crusade the servers were dodgy for months. So don't pretend that this is somehow outside the norm for major MMO releases. As many different machines as interact on an average MMO it is absolutely IMPOSSIBLE to predict how they will react to each other.
So go read a book, write your senator reminding them that the 4th Amendment isn't just a good idea, kiss your girl/boy friend, grab a bite to eat, visit the head, go to a movie, or any of a million other things that you can do besides whinge about STO being down. Is it frustrating? Hell yes, I'm only a few hundred marks from my OMEGA torp launcher. Is there anything you can do from in front of you computer to help? Not really.
I'm going to be so very disappointed if this is their revenge for me finally beating them. I've been stuck on this mission for days and I finally found the right combination to get those... pests.
Ok bring the pop corn, .. what will be more fun to watch, the folks crying about not getting in to the game or the folks threatening never to play again. Nerd rage it is more fun to watch then Gorn TRIBBLE.

Managed to get in one Fleet Action and then DC'd while map changing back to Sol system. Now I can't even load to character screen. Site and launcher both say server is up. *shrug*
if I can get back on, I will, if not I'll be on tomorrow usual times.

I'm From Canada, and am a fleet leader. saw 14 of my Fleet members crash out slowly before I got booted as well.
I was the last one left. The Fleet is dead Jim !!
I wonder how old is their server? Didn't they upgrade the thing in the last yr or two?
Old enough that last owner traded it in for an ENIAC.

There comes a point when a long-suffering optimist becomes an annoyed realist. They are trying to do too much with too little, just like every other company, and they aren't putting enough priority on customer facing and service.

about getting from 'Retrieving list of characters' to 'Login failed for an unknown reason' everytime. Yea brag on your big events, and then have a heapin helping of humble pie there, PWE....(peewee lol)

I am sure they can pay 3 persons working on 8 hour shifts just to make sure server gets repaired as soon as it gets broken.
Now i bet no one is even aware that something is wrong. So we can expect a fix not before tomorrow morning?
