2. (very unlikely but awesome if true) the devs are planning a surprise release to live play and they are intent on keeping it a secret.
Either way, between the Azure update and the rare scimitars on tribble, they are working on something... something big.

Unofficially, there are pics of the console stats, the drones and vids of the playable Scimitar strutting it's stuff out on the web.

The timing of their release is pinned to sales figures for master keys.
With limited T5 ship options for Romulans that only leaves eg. the Tal'Shiar pair. From a business point of view it would make sense to delay the release of c-store ships until master key sales driven by players going for those two ships begins to wane.

I disagree. Anybody willing to play the key game for ships will buy this anyway. If they are waiting it is to build hype and anticipation as I'm sure the most money is made on or near release of the item

The Tribble Gateway by the looks of it, and I wouldn't be surprised if that ship was under review for the Turn Rate and Hull, or the Gateway is bugged

Hmm...if this is real...maybe they will be making each type more unique, I can't see 5/3 with 5 tac consoles and hanger (which I don't see in these). So if they're real maybe the tac version is all guns...maybe sci has a hanger?
These pics just seems kinda fishy, with the motley crew of items and the second console in the engineering slots looks like a cloaking device...and all of those funny consoles that I don't recognize and none of them have the infinity mark like most universal consoles.
Has there been any confirmed information on hangers? Is it a one hanger escort or is it a full carrier/dreadnaught carrier with two hangers? I want a carrier more then a crusier/escort. Thanks for the information guys. Cant wait to fly it either way.
Its been confirmed from the UGC podcast it has 2 hangars 5 fore 3 aft all carrier pets now use a veteran system so the longer they stay alive the more powerful they become. Improved pet control and UI. 3 console set give thalron weapon ship is massive compared to other ships. 3 variants tac, eng, sci

Well my hopes were dashed about the Scimitar not being completely op if those stats are real...I mean 52k hull and 5/3 weapon loadout...if you're a Romulan why fly anything else?
