So, what happens to those people who are on special subscription plans? Like your $30 for 3 month deal you only offer for once a year for a few weeks (generally)?

What happens if your subscription 'expires' because you can't figure out how to take money during that time?

From a previous post of mine in this thread:

At least they made it perfectly clear that my 3-month recurring special discount sub. just went *poof* and I can't get it back, because it was unique offer that is not availibe now and there's nothing they can do about it when a sub. turns inactive.

I had the same subscription you're talking about.
I got screwed out of mine due to all of this. Ticket said its flatout not even possible for me to be put back on it by them. =\

Pretty much this, I got the same response. Honestly, this is a terrible way to run a business.

So, I tried using paypal on the 28th of June to pay my subscription. It seemed to go through. Then last night I get a refund from Paypal for the sub, and now my account is inactive again. WTF, Cryptic?! If any schmoe can do Paypal on e-bay, what's the problem with your account system?!

Same here, only not through pay-pal, but another proposed workaround - deleting my payment details and creating new ones (with the same details btw). Seemed to go fine, money went through, was on active subscription for a bit more than a week and today I see it being 'inactive' again.

Furthermore now it's says it's cancelled when I check the account. WTF, Cryptic? I didn't cancel my sub., what the hell is going on there? It gives me time to renew the sub untill the 5-th of August, which was suposed to be the date when the monthly sub. is continued and if they don't fix it by then I have no intention of renewing the sub. again on the 5-th. I play this game to relax and have fun, not constatnly go through bank accounts and payment details. Sometimes I can't help but wonder who the heck they hired to do this job?

I just looked at both my bank and Amex accounts, and both were charged by cryptic. That explains why they refunded the Amex account through paypal, which I actually haven't gotten yet, but it still doesn't answer why my account was listed as inactive when they so obviously had taken my money. This is starting to look awfully fishy!

I looked up Cryptic Studios on the better business bureau, and they have an F rating, mostly for not responding to issues. No surprises there.

Thanks to your constant (and constantly amazing) feedback, the error related to billing and subscription processing that has been impacting certain players using Visa credit cards has been identified. We are working with our billing and payment partners to correct this error ASAP. We?re all-hands on-deck, but we don?t have an immediate ETA on a fix. Soon as we know, you?ll know.

Of course, we will ensure all affected players are compensated.

Thank you so much for your continued support.

So has this been fixed, compensated, swept under the carpet, as we have not been advised of any updates in a while?
