They will probably have like 6 or 7 barbie doll variations for sale on the C-Store, and one or two on the Lobi Store, just like everything else. Seriously guys, why would this be any different?

    Yeah, that's right.

These uniforms were closer to what I was hoping for, but it looks like these uniforms are standard issue for the RSE and not the Republic....sadly...but hopefully we will get both and more options.

That's more like it. Although the females looks a tad better, without certain punk metal accessories....

The studded leather garters are a bit funny. Still, the NPC Romulan Uniforms look 100x better than what the Romulan Republic is wearing, and much more 'Romulan'.

I just hope having the ROmulan faction will open up some Clothing options for our Romulan and Reman BOFFs.

Undeniable facts are indisputable! So agreement is inevitable!

( Also tried to say that the female RSE uniform in question, works better compared to the more noisy male version, but failed to make the proper distinction at the time of writing. :o )

There is not enough love in this thread for the Nemesis-type uniform that Donatra and Valdore wear...

One of the few good things that came from Nemesis, I wouldn't mind if they showed up for the Romulan faction. I'd still prefer the STO RSE uniforms and the TNG uniforms a bit more though, but the Nemesis uniforms woudl definately be a welcome addition.

As long as the female options include short skirts, bare midriffs and cleavage, I'm good.

Honestly they're okay enough, but they don't look very "Romulan" to me. In fact they look like slightly redone winter jackets.

Probably because they are. This game is so full of copypasta I get a carb overload!

    Romulan Engineering symbol

Here let me help you out :)

Sorry perhaps its my major in History that's clouding things. Don't mean to cause any offence or troll or anything. Just highlighting what the image may or may not invoke in a person that is familiar with that image. Just saying...
Nope sorry don't see a significant similarity. The Romulan emblem looks more like a whirlpool or maybe the gravity well of a black hole....

A major in history....talk about money wasted

Where you see a TRIBBLE symbol I see a Ancient Indian symbol...You might want to dust off them History books...or ask for your money back.

True. Maybe the Romulan Engineer Corps is just taping into the universe to bring good luck to thier cause.

That or the Finnish Air Force has expanded their recruitmen efforts and the US 45th Infantry Brigade has gone back to its old insigni.a

Well, they did have high boots and skirts in TOS... and such a thing would sell.
Let us wear Swimsuits on Foundry maps or bridges please! I would pay zen for that.

Referring just to history, it is sad that a spiritual symbol could provoke such a negative emotion due to circumstance.

    Really? That's what you see?

This is the internet. Here, fake or real degrees are worth about zero.

I'm not saying you are laying, I'm just pointing a fact out that saying stuff about degrees will do you no good here. Maybe it will draw a few trolls to show off their 8 history degrees, but that's it.

Also, the romulan engineering symbol is stuff draining into a black hole, a singularity core that romulan ships use.
And their symbol is the romulan ship's main power source because they are engineers.

People are dumb if they can't see that!

Use logic.... call Spock if you need help with it.

Why don't we call the tactical romulans worshippers of Chaos Undivided next?
That is an eight pointed star.... (of course, it can symbolise an explosion, because tacticals make things go boom, but who cares ? )

I would point it out how geometrically the indian good luck and the romulan engineering symbol differs, but there are some tactical cultist Romulans here with a bunch of demons. :D

I'm happy it did not come across as insulting.

But still, people seeing things into totally innocous items can be very annoying.

And the TRIBBLE were very good on ripping things off ancient cultures. Yeah, they are "that guy" who steals your symbols.

Just because they ripped off eagles (because Romans used eagles) this does not mean that all eagles are evil, nor that all countries using eagles are TRIBBLE (USA loves the eagles too, and they are TRIBBLE's natural enemy).

I could understand if indians would be upset or offended because their ancient symbol is trashed by a third party. They used it first.

Oh and while I'm at it, and the romulan science symbol could be a lightsaber crystal.

So there are Chaos, Sith, TRIBBLE romulans all around... that's the most villanous faction ever. :)

The last one was a joke.

We will obviously get cute and nice republican romulans.

No you don't. Talk about disingenuous bull****. You might think "how can I be a disingenuous douchebag about this on an internet forum", but the swastika's relationship to the TRIBBLE has dominated the collective consciousness for the past eighty years.

Anyway, I should be surprised that nobody has mentioned a spiral arm galaxy, but I'm not.

That depends of what part of the world you're in.

I bet if you went to Finland and showed a Finn the swastika, he'she would think of the ensign of the Finnish Air Force. Show it to an Indian and he will probably think of the old sanskrit meaning and usage. Show it to a Native America and he'd think of the good fortune it brings.

You mean the Air Force ensign that they stopped using in 1945?

You have an argument as far as India is concerned, but not Native Americans. While they have not stopped using it entirely, it certainly has lost favor since World War II.

Please don't take this as an argument because its not - open debate and all that right :)

But if you look at what you yourself just said in the context of the words, the symbol was never know as the swastika to the Finns or the Indians. That is something entire derivative of the association most people nowadays have to that symbol. Its entirely subconscious. Most people. Not all, but the large majority - will look at that symbol and think swastika. The first thing that pops into ones mind is not svastika, "all is well"

I really like the spiral arm galaxy idea. Folks may think I am being too sensitive or ridiculous, but some folks suffered directly, and I wish it were not the case, but that symbol has significant meaning for me.
