Why would they want to make changes to accommodate a self-entitled, minority of people who were told exactly what to expect, saw what they were told to expect, and bleat out about horrific money grabs in a free-to-play MMO, complete with some people trying to compare these bleatings to /standing up against slavery/ or other equally stupid, excessive hyperbole statements about how TRULY IMPORTANT their FINAL STAND AGAINST THE EVIL MONEYGRABBING is?
Gain some perspective in life. Its a set of combat pets that, frankly, are nice but nowhere near game breaking. Elite Scorpions will do damage on par if not better than them.
I agree with the above...so much whining around here and surprised they havent closed this thread with so much name calling. I know for a fact that if you want to get both JHAS and the Jem dread you can do it without spending "real" money. If you havent figured it out yet you shouldn't be complaining at those who do. Most who did it are real people and instead of whining and complaining seek other ways to find the real answer. It's not just grinding for EC but using just some basic skills of trade/demand.
Worst case if you dont figure it out use Elite scorpions which are comparable to the JHAS pets.

It strange that responses like this seem to completely miss the point of what some of us have been saying.
Granted there have been some out there arguments on this topic that I'm not willing to touch.
I could care less if other players have both the Attack Ship and the Dreadnought Carrier, if they have both great for them and if they want both that?s their right.
I for one have never spoken out about players having the Attack Ship, what I and most of the other posters have spoken out against is that Cryptic has placed what we see has an unfair requirement on the Jem'Hadar Dreadnought Carrier and its Hanger Attack Ships that no other Carrier in STO has ever had.
IMO if I choose to use my Dreadnought Carrier and want to have access to its frigate sized Hanger Options I should not have go out and get an Escort class vessel that I'd have no use for just to get the right to buy Hanger Options that can only be used with A Carrier that I already own.
Sure the Elite Scorpion Fighters are infinitely better than both the Hanger Jem Fighters and Bug Ship and I have no problem using them with my Dreadnought but the fact (at least to me) remains that the reason behind and way that Cryptic gated the Dreadnoughts Hanger Attack ships was wrong.
If money is the name of the game then you sell the Hanger Bugs outright to all that are willing to pay for them and not lock them behind needing to own a Lock Box Ship that is already ungodly rare and popular in its own right; to me that was just a pure greed move.
I feel that Cryptic used the Jem'Hadar Dreadnought Carrier and its Hanger Attack Ships to boost the demand for the Bug Ship, a ship that was already heavily being sought after.
I also feel that the move forces min maxers to unpack both Ships on a Tactical Captain if they want to get the most out of them both and that most Science and Engineering Captains that might do well in Carriers but have no use for an Escort where never even thought of.
Label posters like me whiners if you so choose but 1st show me where my reasons against what Cryptic did and the alternative options for making a profit off the Hanger Bugs ships are flawed and could be seen has whining.
I would never label anyone voicing their views has anything other than a person voicing their views.
Cryptic did what they did and whether we agree with it or not we all have a right to voice our views on it.
IMO if I choose to use my Dreadnought Carrier and want to have access to its frigate sized Hanger Options
Why do people keep saying this? This is never how I interpreted Cryptic as describing the JHAS frigate pets.
The JHAS frigate pets are a feature of the JHAS. They are not a feature of the Dreadnought Carrier. They are an extra perk for having obtained the JHAS, because it does not come with a unique console or other feature like most Lockbox-tier ships.
They are just like the Vesta's [AUX] cannons, the Galor's Spiral Wave Disruptors, or the Recluse's Tholian Widow Fighters.
If anything, the answer is not to allow anyone to buy the JHAS pets; it's to allow the JHAS pets to be used on any carrier.

You know that the JHAS pets can only be used on the dreadnought and not on any other ship right? Anyways you also seem to be missing the point.
There is no "point" but "WHY CAN'T I HAVE THAT WITHOUT HAVING TO HAVE WHAT GRANTS ACCESS TO IT?!" really. Just the braying and wailings of petulant manchildren that want something purely because they have no access to it themselves, or feel the requirements to get it are beneath them somehow.
Elite Scorpions are just as good. Elite Peregrines, Danubes, etc when they start showing up in less than a month will undoubtedly be good as well. The JHAS pets are a luxury good, and fun, but far from necessary or game breaking. I do love mine purely because one of mine went bro-tier and used Ramming Speed on a High Yield Torpedo from a Borg Cube, eating it to the face before it could hit me.
The other man is correct. The JHAS hanger pets are a perk of owning a JHAS. Not a perk of owning a Dreadnought carrier. The Dreadnought Carrier and Heavy Escort Carrier have consoles that can be used on all 3 ships. The Attack has no such console, but has a means of enhancing the carrier with 'frigate' pets instead. If anything the problem is that the JHEC can't use them too...

The second you started name calling you lost the argument because only trolls resort to name calling. In fact there was another one like you called kronplah and after he started it he lost.

"The instant you called me what I am acting like you totally lost this discussion because I said so!"
So your retort to that is to insist I lost... by calling me a name and insisting only people who resort to name calling are what you called me? What? If I'm a troll does that make you some sort of weird double-secret probation troll or something?
Are you going to bother addressing the actual contents of the message or just cry I said a mean thing and insist you won by default? What the hell is there to even win?

lets see, you come into a thread and start labeling people based on either the title alone, or the title and a few posts, you start insulting people and provide no real contribution to the thread, That my good humanoid is a troll.
I have both the JHAS and the Dread on one account and still say the ship should be unlocked for all who own the Carrier.
btw, the JHAS-H is not a feture of the JHAS, it is a locked gate for only those who own both the ships, If it were a feture of the JHAS then you'd be able to claim it without needing the dread and it would work on any full sized carrier.

I've been following this thread pretty much the entire time. I abstained from posting until now because this thread is horrible and the only way to 'win' is not to post in it at all.

Lol. Just was checking up on how this thread is doing. Ya so I knew there was alot more people who were on the same page as me in regards to addressing how useless all their complaints were, and perhaps... Well maybe I did use a little more 'flair' to express the point lol....
However, i've moved on now, as what is in place now for the hangar requirements is neither my argument nor anyone else's, it's simply the present facts, and frankly i've said what I had to say. I do feel sorry, in a sense, that they began flooding this thread with their complaints, which I don't see being addressed anytime soon or never, but like I said before even I cannot predict what the future holds. I just check in now to see what ideas people can come up with, that's the only interesting part of this thread. I like to see ideas people will come up with as a way of overcoming this 'obstacle' (obsatacle being the requirements).
There is no winning or losing a debate here, it's simply different people debating with their point of views supporting either one side or the other. It's just some people take it way too seriously, when in fact no one is attacking them.
1) They would either have been released with it at the start or when it was boosted to fleet level.
2) The items would be useable on other things than the Jem Dread.
3) It would be something the ship itself could use.
As it is the JHAS cannot use pets so that's point 3 dismissed, they are locked into the Jem Dread so that's point 2 gone. They were also released at exactly the same time as the dread so that's point 1 gone too. This was a very blatant cash grab to squeeze as much demand for the JHAS as possible to make as much money possible from the doff packs. The pet didn't need to be locked down to owning a JHAS and no other carrier has anything like this. That is the point we're trying to make, that is why we're all annoyed.

Only point two actually has any relevance to the thesis. Neither point one nor point three is actually true.
This thread has now most definitely run its course, and isn?t providing any civilised discussion, so due to this as well as high number of flaming/trolling posts and/or reported posts in this thread, I'm closing this thread down.

not surprising, since the ship isn't big enough to hold even 1 attack ship
