There's a lot of pressure building in this Thread.
Whether your for or Against or indifferent with the Gating of the Hanger Attack Bugs I think that the one thing we can all agree on is that something like this type of Gating has never happend before in STO.
To date no other Carrier or any other vessel type for that matter has had an item that can only be used with it Exclusively locked away behind needing to own a completely different vessle and that's just to get the right to buy the item :eek:
This is just a huge break for what we've come to expect with Carriers in STO and many will never stop stating how fundamentally wrong this move by Cryptic is and I will 100% agree with them.
When this was 1st mentioned by Cryptic many of us were confused by the post ad we started asking Cryptic to explain what was going on with the Dreadnought and the Lock Box attack ship and we never got any responce (no surprise there).
We took to the forums to ask Cryptic to explain to us why this was being done with the Dreadnought Carrier and after 2 months we still have not gotten one DEV to comment on this move and why it made sense to Cryptic to do it.
There's a lot of anger over this issue and Cryptics refusal to at the very least acknowledge that many of us strongly feel that owners that just wanted Dreadnought Carrier were being locked out of an option that could only be used with the Ship that we already owned.
Cryptics silence on this issue continues to speak volumes and sadly it seems that none of the DEV's who all seem to claim that they listen to us are and are building a better game for us can't give players like myself and many others a responce to our questions about why such an unprecedented move like this was done with the Dreadnought Carrier.
It's like Cryptic is saying the Dreadnought is just not has special of a vessel has the Attack Ship and players the own the Attack Ship deserve more than the players the own all of the other ships in the game and that is a really bad message to be sending.
I have no choice but to accept this move by Cryptic because I love playing STO and my only option would be to leave this MMO and I doubt that I'd could do that.
I have to sit back and accept that fact that no matter how constructive we try to be over this issue, no matter how strongly we try to ask for a reason that it was done, no matter how we try to make Cryptic see that this was not a fair move for many Science and Engineering players that have no use for Escorts but can really do well in Carriers, that Cryptic just did not care enough to hear us.
I can't make myself matter to Cryptic and I can't change anything that they do when it comes to STO but I can make sure that Cryptic / PWE never sees one cent of my hard earned money every again.
We asked Cryptic to hear us over this issue and we got nothing from them and now I'll give them nothing has well.
The funniest thing is that many of us would have paid for the Hanger Bugs if they were put in the C-Store or the Lobi Store, we might of raged over it but we all know that we would have shelled out for them but Cryptic had to go and tie in a key item for our Carrier to a lock box type system and try to milk us all for every last cent that they could get.
I'd love to hear what Chris the former host of Stoked would have to say about this since almost every other podcast I reached out to more or less just told me to deal with it and accept it has Cryptic being Cryptic.

Selling the Attack ship pets for Lobi would have been a really good idea on their part. Hell, making it something you had to buy with Zen would work as well. But to make it from a ship that is super-rare to get (you can tell by the price on the exchange), is a poor decision. The Kar'Fi Battle Carrier or any other carrier does not have such a silly requirement, why does the Dreadnought Carrier?

The reason is simple. It is a way to make you long or want something which you don't have. Just like in real world where you start to embarrass yourself and behave like a doormat just to get the slight attention of a beautiful girl you are obsessed about.

Cryptic don't care about you they care about your money and until people stop paying, Cryptic won't care, even if people stopped paying the result would probably be winding before and closing the game.
Remember.... STO has a player driven economy. I mentioned this already. Those high prices on the exchange are a result other players trying to get you to pay them close to 300 million ECs. There is more than one factor in this situation. You will feel like your being squeezed on all sides.

Great Idea Polaron Quad Cannons [Dmg] x4 I don't how many times I heard that form owners of the Attackships maybe that give a lot better build to the ship free up weapon slot for a Quantum Torpedo, Bio-neural Warhead, or even better a Thermionic torpedo with out losing cannon firepower there are player who run all cannons they have a lil boost in damage but dip in power level which would have to manage. this maybe most logical step to fixing a issue that wanted to give something to owners of attack ships. If had a Quad Cannons i would be all over that in a heart beat...

Yes I agree with your Karfi part comment because comes form Zen store but how about the Atrox it only has stalker fighters which every one knows suck unless your in pvp and how about Recluse it doesn't have a purple upgrade for its fighters I own every carrier and fly them all Dreadcarrier has worst fighters by far the Recluse Fighters that blue are better then them Karfi may atm have Strongest fighters in the game Karfi is still best carrier followed by the Recluse, Vo'Quv, Atrox, and, Dreadcarrier atm I'm disappointed I got it and shouldn't be away but it is.

Whether your for or Against or indifferent with the Gating of the Hanger Attack Bugs I think that the one thing we can all agree on is that something like this type of Gating has never happend before in STO.
To date no other Carrier or any other vessel type for that matter has had an item that can only be used with it Exclusively locked away behind needing to own a completely different vessle and that's just to get the right to buy the item :eek:
This is just a huge break for what we've come to expect with Carriers in STO and many will never stop stating how fundamentally wrong this move by Cryptic is and I will 100% agree with them.
When this was 1st mentioned by Cryptic many of us were confused by the post ad we started asking Cryptic to explain what was going on with the Dreadnought and the Lock Box attack ship and we never got any responce (no surprise there).
We took to the forums to ask Cryptic to explain to us why this was being done with the Dreadnought Carrier and after 2 months we still have not gotten one DEV to comment on this move and why it made sense to Cryptic to do it.
There's a lot of anger over this issue and Cryptics refusal to at the very least acknowledge that many of us strongly feel that owners that just wanted Dreadnought Carrier were being locked out of an option that could only be used with the Ship that we already owned.
Cryptics silence on this issue continues to speak volumes and sadly it seems that none of the DEV's who all seem to claim that they listen to us are and are building a better game for us can't give players like myself and many others a responce to our questions about why such an unprecedented move like this was done with the Dreadnought Carrier.
It's like Cryptic is saying the Dreadnought is just not has special of a vessel has the Attack Ship and players the own the Attack Ship deserve more than the players the own all of the other ships in the game and that is a really bad message to be sending.
I have no choice but to accept this move by Cryptic because I love playing STO and my only option would be to leave this MMO and I doubt that I'd could do that.
I have to sit back and accept that fact that no matter how constructive we try to be over this issue, no matter how strongly we try to ask for a reason that it was done, no matter how we try to make Cryptic see that this was not a fair move for many Science and Engineering players that have no use for Escorts but can really do well in Carriers, that Cryptic just did not care enough to hear us.
I can't make myself matter to Cryptic and I can't change anything that they do when it comes to STO but I can make sure that Cryptic / PWE never sees one cent of my hard earned money every again.
We asked Cryptic to hear us over this issue and we got nothing from them and now I'll give them nothing has well.
The funniest thing is that many of us would have paid for the Hanger Bugs if they were put in the C-Store or the Lobi Store, we might of raged over it but we all know that we would have shelled out for them but Cryptic had to go and tie in a key item for our Carrier to a lock box type system and try to milk us all for every last cent that they could get.
I'd love to hear what Chris the former host of Stoked would have to say about this since almost every other podcast I reached out to more or less just told me to deal with it and accept it has Cryptic being Cryptic.
I love STO but the people who make STO don't give a damn about me.
As for Cryptic not caring about us, that is partially true. I am wondering whose idea this was? Was Dan Stahl in on this or was the decision made by someone else? It seems like to anyone that actually plays the game knows that this was a bad idea. Having a very rare escort on the same character in which you have a very rare carrier seems stupid. If the person who made this suggestion plays the game, I am curious to know why they though this was a good idea? Do they not realize how people who do not have GM accounts play the game?
Selling the Attack ship pets for Lobi would have been a really good idea on their part. Hell, making it something you had to buy with Zen would work as well. But to make it from a ship that is super-rare to get (you can tell by the price on the exchange), is a poor decision. The Kar'Fi Battle Carrier or any other carrier does not have such a silly requirement, why does the Dreadnought Carrier?

True. So I'm sure you see how some individuals can use that knowledge to their advantage and try to exploit some people.
This whole BS with the JHAS pets is a test to see if they can get away with it, there will be more and if people continue to let Cryptic do this then it will become the norm. It would not surprise me if they released the pets in the lobo store, 100-200 for 1 hanger bay of JHAS pets. All this because of "high demand" and they "don't want players to miss out" with more BS that the PR department brings up.

Now I know you guys who may paid for one off the exchange or got lucky opening packs the reward itself is getting your hands on the ship you see its same feeling anyone who picks up any lock box ship or Lobi store but making another ship needed for buying a fighter bay is lame reason to buy a bug. now that being said why dose cryptic do this give the Attackship a Polaron Quad Cannons [Dmg] x4 make useable on other Jem'hadar ships only or useable on any ship place dual cannons add something will give the players more weapons builds I'm pretty sure bug player would like to have something like that and would reject idea You said wanted to give those owners Attackship something its the idea of Quad Cannon would make me more likely buy a ship.

100-200 lobi is NOT ok, it's not even close, look at the Karfi and the Vo'Quv, both have additional pets available like the Jem Dread and they are not locked out by "you must own a tear from Shatners left eye" mentality. You may purchase both basic versions if you own the ship it is used on from the weapons vendor and the adv version from the dil store. Once again the only requirement is that you own the ship it is used on.
Like I say watch out for the lobi store version coming out and all the BS they say on top. What Cryptic needs to do and needed to do was make them available to Jem Dreadnought owners from the start and not have the Jem hadar fighters being the useless pieces of ****. They currently are.

Great Idea Polaron Quad Cannons [Dmg] x4 I don't how many times I heard that form owners of the Attackships maybe that give a lot better build to the ship free up weapon slot for a Quantum Torpedo, Bio-neural Warhead, or even better a Thermionic torpedo with out losing cannon firepower there are player who run all cannons they have a lil boost in damage but dip in power level which would have to manage. this maybe most logical step to fixing a issue that wanted to give something to owners of attack ships. If had a Quad Cannons i would be all over that in a heart beat...

Yes I agree with your Karfi part comment because comes form Zen store but how about the Atrox it only has stalker fighters which every one knows suck unless your in pvp and how about Recluse it doesn't have a purple upgrade for its fighters I own every carrier and fly them all Dreadcarrier has worst fighters by far the Recluse Fighters that blue are better then them Karfi may atm have Strongest fighters in the game Karfi is still best carrier followed by the Recluse, Vo'Quv, Atrox, and, Dreadcarrier atm I'm disappointed I got it and shouldn't be away but it is.
