    the patch now is only 14 megabytes in size (download) and it patches a 1100mb file on your game dir.

    It is not 1 gb in size! look at the "downloaded" line so see the actual size of the patch!

    i hope everyone who is patch is prepared for the fact you still won't be able to load into game, at least i don't think you will.

    i'm sure someone will point out if i'm wrong.

    For me, the biggest probability of their gameplan is this;

    Launch S6 and do the Cryptic-Zen makeover.

    In case of problems with S6, go with only Cryptic-Zen makeover and work out S6 launch til next possible date.

    Then and only then show the Release Notes reflecting what did change.

    Well, it doesn't download the entire "3" gb. It just downloads parts that have been changed and patches. If they changed a lot, then more new data is downloaded. If they just change a small bit, only a little it downloaded.

    If it was the full size everytime, people on bandwidth caps would be well over it in a month.

    Ok, so I patched in fairly decent time. Now someone explain why there is an active ENGAGE button there. I'm not touching it until I know it isn't wired to a bomb.

    i'm certain this wasnt a major patch (season 6) simply because the version number made no major change only a minor decimal change. They would have changed it to 20_20120712a.0 or something similar if it were a major content change. Also the patch wasnt very large.

    On a side note found something neat if you press ctrl_c in the launcher window it opens the launcher debug cmd window. Interesting

    also just a thought about the difference in sizes, i'm going to assume the people getting 1gb are ondemand patching, the people getting 3gb have it disabled

    This is Season 6 as th Tribble version was 705a.7 and this new Holodeck update is 705a.8.

    im pretty sure we wont be seeing season 6. The build number after the 3 gig patch is

    ST.20.20120705a.8


    Not sure what version season 6 is on tribble but to me isnt that the same version number as the july 5th patch?

    i tried it, it stops you in middle saying its down for maintainance. it won't kill you... yet

    It's confirmed, that version number is pretty much the same one as tribble's.

    Holodeck's old version was v17.

    Season 6 is coming gentlemen!

    20705a.8 patched on live

    20705a.7 on tribble

    Live now has a higher version then tribble, looks like Season 6 to me.

    Got that after first patch too. Logged in again and another patch finished the patch. 142 MB patched. Now on-hold for maintenance to end.

    I just looked at the version numbers from the patch, Tribble is currently @ 2012075a.7, Holodeck is patching to 2012075a.8

    hi

    with season 6 comes the new top tier "prestige set"and the all elite sets for EDCs into DS9 store anyone try out in tribble how much the elite sets cost?

    Look in the progress bar after your log in, you will see the version number there and then it might start patching for your if your numbers are not the latest.

    haha, i promise i did it myself but you won't get anywhere cause it stops you so i wouldn't try
