Horrible System: Buying "Zen" "reviewing Status"

revenger681revenger681 Member Posts: 0 Arc User
Ok, so after reluctantly merging my account I've attempted to buy my first batch of Zen. I say attempted because it's been over 10 hours and it's still being "review"-ed. I didn't mind the C-store before. It's payment method was modern and every time I bought credits, they were instantly given to me.

Now i get this Zen TRIBBLE, taking well over 10 hours to process my my purchases. I don't see how these guys can stay in business like this. Next time I will just buy the physical cards in the store... But even then I've read in the forums of their other fp2 games and have read their posts where people bought the physical cards you pay for with cash, then redeem the codes: They too are given the "processing" run around.

How many of you have bought Zen using your credit card, and how long did it take to receive your Zen? I didn't want to use Paypal, google checkout or any other processor, so I chose "credit card" though they forced me to use moneybrooker in the end. Very upsetting experience!

I'm aware that there are TONS of threads identical to this one, but hey I say keep the new threads coming. Not that it will do any good though, but at least get the word out on how horrible this system is!

Actually that just ticks off those here in the forums trying to help out or trying to get help. Plus it just wastes the time of the volunteer moderators who are stuck in the middle of all this as they now have to take the time to combine all these together.

Do you even see any devs or staff members in here?

I bought my first Zen yesterday. The wait wasn't as long (a few hours), but it was waaaaay too long when compared to instantaneous purchase and receipt of CP.

subsequent purchases will be near instant. it is usually only the first one that takes a bit longer.

I did my purchase through paypal and didn't have a wait. Probably because it's basing it off my purchase history.

If you're buying through the "credit card" method, it's probably your "first time" purchase and is going through risk management hoops.

It's probably taking a while because its being done by hand (making sure your stuff is good to go) because the usual automated alternative to making sure your credit card is valid or not fraudulent is a 1 time small purchase amount, ex $1. And I'd hate to see what kind of xenophobic poopoo would come about if they did it that way.

But more likely that a F2P crowd wouldn't be down with it. Trying to be all risk free and all :)

Seeing as PWE don't work weekends, your ZEN might not come through until Monday, if it hasn't already. It's only for the first purchase though, any purchase after that is usually instant.

It's my 3rd transaction so I'm hoping they will be quick sharp on the morrow... I'm plumping for a ship purchase in the sale and won't be impressed if I miss out because of their business model.

In the same boat you are. Wish they would have told us about this problem/procedure ahead of time.

I have been using the PWE Cards to get the points and there was No problem getting the zen or transferring them to STO. No wait I typed in the numbers and the points were there. Only down side is I cant find any over $20, So if I wanted to buy in bulk for the extra ones I cant do it. as you can only input one card at a time.

I am in europe and use direct debit, no waiting and immediately available.

The thing with the Zen transfer is nevertheless bad practice and a step backward in contrast, as before.

A direct way to get C-Points will be a good choice for players never want to play another PWE game. Myself will never play MMOs. But I'm a Star Trek enthusiast, and this is the only reason why I'm playing and giving my money to ST:O!

Germany, the practice here called giropay - a version of direct debit in my country.

    i got this . . .

    Transaction failed
We were unable to deduct 5.00 USD from your credit/debit card because the transaction was declined by your card issuing bank.
To continue with this payment we advise that you try again using a different credit/debit card or payment method.

For the love of God!!! I got through the initial Zen purchase review on my first transaction that took 24 hours. Since then it's been fine for weeks with almost immediately review completion on all PayPal transactions.

But sometimes, LIKE TODAY, it still takes HOURS to "Review" the transaction. WTF, PWE? It's not like you need this working to keep the game funded. Oh, right, YOU DO NEED THIS WORKING!!!

But what am I saying? Paypal deducted the money right away, so PWE has it's cash. To hell with the player, right?

PWE is kind of the worst.

Sorry to bring back an old thread but the buying of Xen has gone horribly for me and I wanted to see if anyone else has experienced this.

I have been playing Star Trek Online since Beta and this weekend I decided to buy an extra ship on the c-store however it has taken all weekend to try and buy the Xen points I need.

At first I was accused by the help desk of being a credit card thief when using my own credit card that I've bought c-store (no xen) points before with. I have never had this before and I buy a lot of things from the internet. In fact I don't know ANY online retailer that accuses their customer of fraud, they usually just accept the purchase or deny it.

When I replied back to their email they deleted my response giving me a lecture that I shouldn't create numerous tickets on a single issue. What on earth?? All I did was reply back to an email, surely your ticket system doesn't create new tickets every time someone replies!

I have now tried to buy the Xen with a different credit card, it looks like I won't be able to get my Xen before the end of the ship sale now. Is this a well known issue with Arc, that it will take you a good week before you can purchase something off them? I've had checks clear quicker than this.

    Hey hey now!

BAD ZOMBIE BAD GO BACK TO THE GROUND!

Seriously folks, if a thread hasn't been responded to in 30 days please don't bring it back up :( If you feel you need to continue the thread by all means make a new one! :)
