[*]Level 50 players now get a requisition form for one piece of Mk X STF gear.

I'm just wondering, will this be granted to everyone who's already at Vice Admiral level?

I suspect there'd be some minor riots around here if the hardcore KDF players even suspect they're getting warmed-over Starfleet missions.

If that were all they were going to do thats probably true. However when I'm playing my KDF character I'd actually like to have things to do in all these sectors that have now been opened up for the KDF faction, even if it is simply a KDF version of the existing patrols. Its not a replacement for new KDF exclusive content by any means, but at least it gives you something to do in those areas.

Maybe I missed it, these new signs are a joke right?

If yes, good one they're very jokey looking. If not they look like a child submitted images to the in-game art people. We don't need these signs to begin with, let alone childish signs that should be in a Federation Pre-School.

Please revert the signs thanks. I DO really like the icons on the map though I wouldn't mind the versions over the heads of the contacts being a tad smaller than the giant white squares make them appear now.

There's also an un-needed lamp in the transporter room and the commodity folks near the tailor are in the middle of the room.

Maybe it was a project like "Captain Picard Day"?

Also, there's no way to turn in the requisition mission to actually GET the requisition item to then turn in for an item...

Oh, and Ferengi in the character creator can only ever be female. When I click on male and hit next it automatically turns my "him" into a "her".

    1) My favorite thing is that the episode rewards now scale. Now they just need to give some dilithium for a replay, and those are good to go.
    2) I hate the cooldown for the STFs. Get rid of it.
    3) I have a bunch of "white boxes" hovering over the contacts on the new ESD. Return them to whatever they used to be.
    4) Hate the icons for the locations around ESD. So not "Star Trek".

Whats with all the silly icons all over the place? The least you could do is make them remotely like star trek. Feels like im walking through school again....

Crafting is still useless, the point of the blocks was to make them cheaper and easier to move between chars. Instead you need multiple common uncommon and rares to make one item. This is still not acceptable, either remove crafting from the game or actually spend time improving it rather than taking the quick cash grab option!

Remove forced level progression, or at least give us the option to pick and choose what mission we want to do under available missions.
Simply letting us skip a mission in order is not acceptable.

Once again you take one step forward, shoot yourself in the foot and three three more backwards....

But with everyone on different timers it is going to make getting into one more difficult - really not liking this change. :(

My fear is that we might get to a point where playing STFs is like waiting to play PvP or Fleet Actions.

Will have to wait and hope these fears are not the reality.

Did anyone else find that some of their skill points are now unspent? I discovered over 21K in pts that have left my skill tree and now are unspent. Tried to respend them but everytime I press accept, the points go back to the unspent area. If anyone has a fix for this, please let me know. Thanks.

Worf and J'mpok are now Lieutenant Generals.

They still look like captains to me. I even moused over they're ranks.

Great changes on the DOFF interface (from what I could see half asleep before heading out to work ;) )

Can we have the double click back, that made is accepting an assignment in the DOFF system. Just like it worked before and like the completed missions give the rewards?

Clicking the assignment and then having to click start makes things really long winded. It's just a bad UI thing as it is right now.

    Thanks in advance! :)

    My comments:

    Liked most of it but....
    • Cartoon signs in ESD should go they are not an upgrade compared to what we had plus the text is horribly fuzzy.
    • Bugged like everyone else and am unable to spend a large amount of skill points anywhere (Ground or Space) on either of my toons that miraculously freed up. This one is game-breaking.
    • Would like the double-click back to select a mission, really no need for an accept button.
    • Not sure about the STF lockout at one-hour, I realize that the timer starts when you select the mission but it is limiting an already limited set of content.
    • Crafting containers - not really a good improvement because dilithium should not be involved at all. Honestly, just save us all some trouble and pull crafting internal and work on revamping the system for release after F2P so long as it does not involve dilithium.
    • Sector defenses pulled for unknown reasons. I think we should at least be told they will or will not be coming back. If not, then I think we deserve and explaination.

There is still a suit of things that have yet to be addressed going as far back as the beginning of this process. I really would like some resolution to those items mentioned by countless people here in many different ways before the holidays. It would be a nice Christmas present to your subscribers. We all know what those issues are.

:( Don't like the new signs in ESD (maybe it's the font).

:( Really don't like the floor standing lamps in ESD.

:) Really like the new idle animations when holding weapons!

:) Like the new character chooser when you are logging in.

Seems like there are a lot of objects missing from ESD now. Is this on purpose or part of the errors with the character/vendor icons?
Also don't like how late the NPCs appear when moving around the station. Ruins the immersive effect.

Checked out the update to crafting, which is still an abomination. The whole unreplicatable material or whatever is just putting lipstick on a very ugly pig with the whole economy "update". I'm just glad I've stockpiled a ton of supplies for the F2P conversion.

ETA: Here's my suggestion: Change the currency for schematics from energy credits to dilithium and get rid of adding another item in the equation. Also, stick the Aegis set in the C-store (what's the point of even pretending this isn't the reason for the crafting changes to drive c-store point sales?).

    Earth Spacedock:

Winters has been replaced by Sulu.
That's right, Sulu is back in the game.

    Known Issues:

No one is quite sure where Sulu is.

Quite possibly the funniest patch notes I have ever read.

OK, I know the unreplicatable materials are to address fleet crafting, but seriously, could you have done it in a more confusing and painful way?

Not only is the dilithium charge still so high as to make crafting a miserable pursuit for anyone not wanting to devote 40 hour workweeks to the game (I actually ENJOYED crafting the old way), now you really can't even tell how much dilithium it's going to cost without jumping mental hoops on the 3 different types of material... and they aren't even sorted in any rational order???

On top of that, once you buy a tier of block then your dilithium is locked up in it and if you want to shift to another item with the same dilithium cost, but a different configuration of blocks, you're screwed.

It's like we have 3 horrid new currencies that disguise the costs we could at least see when it was just one.

I can only assume the single purchase at a time will be fixed (seriously, you price things at 60+ blocks and then make us buy them one at a time???)

Honesltly this is going to kill a lot of my endgame experience. I think I'm going to just craft up everything I can on Holodeck before the switch and give up on it after.

I sincerely hope we don't have to spend XP on ground traits by force instead of concentrating more on space traits. I mean, a good game is also based on having the possibility of choosing your own path. What's the point in paying a sub when I can't even choose how my captain can spend his own damn XP...?

This post I have discoverd is inncorect. For which I apalogis. The adjustment to the skill tree in this patch, does make the player respend 13500 xp, the player must spend all tbe xp before accepting for it to go though.
Although ,it would have been nice if that were mentioned in the patch notes.
    As, before my bad, sorry.

    • Like the idea of giving more orientation on ESD
    • Like the idea of mirroring icons on the minimap
    • Don't like the new signs/font (looks kind of clumsy, are they placeholders?)
    • Don't like the changes to the ESD map

    Regards,
    Rachel

Why are the missing patrol sector missions (gone since the november 4th patch), which I reported about earlier (see: http://forums.startrekonline.com/showthread.php?t=239962), still not adressed in this patch yet? I still had a load of these missions to do (was working on the psi velorum sector missions back then) and then they suddenly vanished from the available missions list after the november 4th patch. Could you at least provide an estimate when you are going to put these missions back into the game again?
