It's per segment of the mission. Once you complete Infected Space, you'll have to wait an hour to redo it. But that timer won't apply to the other STF missions, so you could do Infected Ground or Khitomer Space, etc.

The whole purpose of making specific rewards tied to specific missions was supposed to be that we only needed to run the missions the specific loot was tied to. So now we get to run that mission and twiddle our thumbs for an hour to run it again?

** You should not be restricting the hand full of end game missions you have.**

Hard to imagine how. I wouldn't want my Klingon patrolling the Sirius Sector Block, defending it against Klingon attackers and resolving labour disputes.

I do hope original KDF patrols will eventually become available for all sectors in the game, though.

All you do is replace the KDF ships with Fed ships and Sirius patrols work for KDF. And the Rom and Card patrols already make sense as they are.

*sigh* every time they take one step forward, they immediately grab their phasers and shoot themselves in the foot. Way to go, Cryptic. Who's boneheaded idea was it to put timers on the STF's? Do you really want to frustrate your players any more than you already are?

Zero. If you want to encourage doing different segments, instead of restricting us, actually encourage us. Give us bonus rewards for the first run of each segment per day. Say, give out 480 DiLi, or +1 EDC (might have to increase EDC prices if you do that [50% maybe?]) for the first Normal Cure Space you do in a day (same for all other missions and difficulties).

you re-added timers to STFs? No? Remove that, you're making us grind them already, don't make us wait to grind them.

The Timer was added due to User Feedback on "Leaving an STF Group early Punishment"

and a Timer is a quick and easy way to do it.

An hour is not to bad. could been worse far more worse

    Where is Sulu?

[QUOTE;ZeroniusRex][*]The Defend Sector Block missions have been turned off.
Is this permanent? Will going into the enemy contacts still count toward the accolades somehow or are those accolades changing/being removed?
I wonder this too. I have not finished my Defend Accolades and would like to do so some day.

[QUOTE;ZeroniusRex][*]Level 50 players now get a requisition form for one piece of Mk X STF gear.
    What does this mean, exactly?

In general it looks like you guys continue to work hard. I do have a question:

Will there be any iterations on the OldCurrency-->Dilithium Conversion rates? Because right now, you guys are robbing us:

I think you need to clarify whether this is a personal timer or not.

If it's a personal timer, then that's okay- it'll work as you say.

But as currently worded, it comes across as a global timer, and that's just no good.

So we're going to punish everyone because of one person? What about the group? The have to wait an hour as well to get another opportunity to complete the mission with an actual 5 person team. really great idea! I love these knee jerk solutions to stuff that isn't even a problem to begin with.

If people are leaving your group make some friends and do a private stf. simple

Nah, I disagree. I know the patrol missions don't have much in the way of storyline, but what is there is pretty heavily geared to defending Federation territory from attackers (generally KDF). And that's notwithstanding patrol missions like resolving that trade dispute with the miners, escorting damaged freighters, and the like.

They'd need a pretty substantial rewrite to be logical, and in my opinion if they're going to do that, they should just build some KDF missions from the ground up, like the Pi Canis missions. It'd take longer to develop, but I would personally find the missions more satisfying.

I kind of like the idea of a timer. Perhaps with it, people will do other STF's other than the cure space. I would say that I think an hour is a bit long. Perhaps cut it down to half an hour upon exit of the instance. Two questions, Does the timer differentiate between normal and elite? Second, the last three times i've played infected space there have been no mob loot drops, is something broken in the infected loot table? I've seen a lot of loot drop in cure, but nothing in Infected other than the optional/boss loot bags at the end.

Don't timers typically start when the mission begins? So if you have a 1-hour timer and you play through the entire mission, you'd have maybe 20 minutes to wait? That doesn't seem so bad to me.

Mostly good stuff, I am most curious about the new crafting materials. This may actually be a good improvment.
The timers for STF .. well, I would probably never notice it, since I do not play them freqently, but why was this added?

They have always started upon completion of the mission. That comes out to be 37.5 hours of game time to grind a single stf 30 times if i'm trying to get a specific drop if i take that mission as soon as its available. Stormshade was right! this game isn't designed to be grindy at all.

    • On bridges, the interact graphic no longer displays offset from the captain’s chair for “Return to Tactical View”.

For THE love of god, can we PLEASE get rid of this stupid interact icon??? It is annoying, looks stupid and when you walk into an area where there is many interactable items, THE STUPIDITY FACTOR MULTIPLIES BY 100!!!!!

At least give us the option to turn it off because graphically it is ruining the game!!!!!!

    Duty Officers:
    • Complete overhaul of Federation Commendation Rewards:
      • Greatly expanded the selections available for purchase with the tokens received at each rank.
      • Improved the quality of duty officers available from the Commendation store.
      • Added a duty officer reward to Tier 4 of Diplomacy.

Was the same done for the Klingon DOFF system? Is it in progress?

Klingon players may be used to being late to the party, but it doesn't mean we enjoy it.

So then we are ALL punished because some people bail on an STF? The solution is worse than the problem. At least without the timer, if people bail on your team, you can reform another team. Now we all gotta wait. Sorry, but this is not a good idea.

We will be bringing the Tribble server down for maintenance to apply a new update.
    ST.16.20111113a.5]

Switched dilithium costs over to unreplicateable materials.
Unreplicateable materials now sold for dilithium by the general vendors at Memory Alpha and Qo'noS.

Unreplicateable materials are tradable between players

Still costs 42k dilithium for mkxl purple plus mats. Please don't do anything else to try to make crafter's happy, your failing miserably.

Seems like this is only working for KDF atm - Look in your available missions tab, you will find a new mission for this, however if your playing a fed character you can't hand it in to D'Vak on ESD, but you can on KDF side.

Also Please please please rethink the comic styling of the sign posts its silly looking, and we all know you can do better..
