    Speaking of Chris Hadfield, I picked up his book today at his the signing that was this evening. The multi-level book store was packed full of people and there was well over a thousand at the most conservative guess. Such an amazing person to meet and so inspiration to everyone!

    astronauts are inspiring.. its solid basic science and math you can't run a nation that cannot extend to the stars in someway or team up with others to do so without some risk and vision.

    Very inspiring. I doubt it's anywhere near as easy as it was for him for those who want to be today. He talked about seeing the original Lunar Landing on TV and how that inspired him. He applied by answering an ad in the new paper for "Astronauts Wanted". I can't help but laugh at the thought of that and he was quick to point out how there was no internet and social media way back in the previous century. :P Yes, I admit it. I am so technologically attached. :D

    si hand crank bush generator spikes are bad for pcs... solar hum well your surge risk isent the same as beign on the sump pump line..

    i remember things like phone craddle modems and a whole room with ventalated floor

    I know all about power issues. Living in a desert requires a good circuit breaker or else your toaster will explode.

    I am absolutely horrible at drawing also. I also know all too well about power issues. My fuse box really could use an upgrade to breakers.

    irony.. well the power went out for days then the crew came by it wasn't a nuke plant going bad.. it was a colony of japanese beetles looking for a safe place. .zap zap..
    new pannel fuses and main breaker $$

    nothing eats them they are everywhere..

    Power here is the worst in the summer. So many A/C units and my beast pretty much sucks up just over 15 Amp by itself. :p If you want 50F inside when it's 90F outside, you've got to go big and big sucks the juice out of everything. :D When I think of the two biggest things for power consumption in here, my A/C unit is easy the first but the second is my PC. Even though it has a Silverstone 850 Watt PSU in it, it actually pulls closer to a kilowatt from the wall. That's the one reason why I swear by Silverstone power supplies because they can definitely handle more than they are rated for and you can adjust the voltage on the 12V rail if needed.

    Where I live, Summer Bill = $500-$600 USD. Winter Bill = $100-200 USD.

    Ouch! My power is included as I rent my apartment. The only reason I know anything about how much certain things draw is because of how many fuses I blew when I first moved here. :P

    I pumpkin pie covered with fruit flies cause it was left i nbreadbox.. so i put 2 slices in freezer and none were the wiser fed papa

    The Halloween candy I was looking for was pretty much sold out everywhere. Real Fruit Gummies seem to be harder and harder to find as time goes on. I still have 100 mini Milky Way's though that haven't even been let out of their boxes yet. I think they will become more packing material soon. ;)

    IT was a scary place i had night guard duty at the ammo dump and a huge flight of crows came out oif the cornfield and all they gave us was a coffee can bift.. very crule low funded military co-ed

    When i sued to live out in the sticks, there was this small group of crows that would never shut up and they were loud! Between them and the lady's Poodle around the corner, there was very little peace and quiet times.

    I insult crows and I tend up seeing a documentary on them this morning rating their intelligence as the equivalent to that of a 17 year old human. Chimps only come in at around 2 years old when compared to humans. :rolleyes: They are vindictive little buggers also. :D
