It's airspeed. Your horizontal distance travelled is slower when you're changing altitude (based on personal observations over the years).

That said, there's maybe 30+ levels where maxed pyro for your level beats maxed sandstorm (20 levels before you get sandstorm, then 10+ levels to catch up) in damage, while also having a longer range, so depends on how much you feel it's worth having a stronger opener for those levels, vs saving a bit of spirit

Oh, venos can still get into squads if you've got a herc, they're hardly unwanted for instances like wizzies and psychics are, they're just no longer the only lurer and one of the best dd's in instances, so they've gone from mandatory to nice but can live without.

PW-MY had all the same selling of ingame gold, etc, and yet had bots and gold farmers everywhere. And even before levelling was so easy, there were very few bots, certainly far fewer than PW-MY.

Just wait on the quest until you hit level 30. It won't take long, and you'll get a quest to be able to fly after that.

Yeah, basically try to find an active faction with people you can get help from. If you can't get full help from either full squads your level, or higher levels, than you'll soon find there're a whole bunch of things you'll run into that aren't much fun to do, but are fairly necessary.
