I think this should be implemented in to Perfect World. I know I would pick up and go to a PVP server immediately . Even if you had to buy some bs stone from the cash shop say for $20.

My EPIC Fail Demon Barb has 40k/48k HP and my stat points are as follows:

    THIS IS NOT POSSIBLE FOR THERE IS NO CODE WITHIN THE PWI CODING THAT WILL ALLOW THEM TO TRANSFER CHARACTERS TO DIFFERENT SERVERS.

    I played on Lost City with an archer and got her to 59. But I was tired of being killed. So I rerolled on Sanctuary.

    You think I didn't find it bad that we can't transfer our **** into different server? Of Course I did, but I didn't go to forums and QQ much.

    Instead I acted like a man(female archer) and spent $10 on the game when gold prices were high :)

    EDIT: Also, if this was possible, all hell would break lose and servers would crash because each server is way to populated and imagine if we can buy stuff from different servers.

    EDIT 2: Every time there is a new server, gold is always resets to 100,000. PWE want's to make money off of us so i don't think they would like cross server trading.
    AP classes are a real butt pounding...

    The only way you'll be able to "transfer" servers is if servers merge. And then it would only be in the new merged server.

    There are likely a couple conditions for this:

    1. Servers must be in the same timezone.
    2. Servers must be of the same type (PVE will not merge with PVP).

    So yeah. You're not going to go from a PVE server to a PVP server and vice versa unless you make a new character.

    This is why they dont allow character trasfers. Item only transfers would cause identical problems. Will not happen ever.

    As far as to the other replys I'm not "QQing" just thought it would be neat to just pickup and leave and to the person that said there isn't a code.... No ****, they'd write one.

    I would be simple and most games actually are set up to run mulitpule servers as one, its called channeling. Close down for 12-24 hours and link them all together as channels, 1,2,&3 say PVE and 4&5 PVP - What honestly would be wrong with that?

    I admit I've guilty of it to once in awhile, but seems no one really thinks about things they just blurt out what they've got to say and that's that. No ifs, ands or buts. - The whole point of forums is to have a discussion on a topic. Not "this dumb your fail"/end thread......

    Its not that it isn't possible, but it is more along the lines that they would lose money, because you wont buy the the stuff over again from the cash shop that you bought on your current toon/server.

    Thank god that ain't the case. It could be done though as the game data is stored in MySQL database.

    It would be very stupid though. Just wait till PWI has only one server open, pretty sure it will be a PvP one. b:cute

    Actually we've been told multiple times that it is physically impossible. And they have no plans of rewriting the game to make it possible.

    Why would they do that? So people like you who stay blue named all their PW lives farming gear and gaining levels, can go into pk servers when it suits them?

    Though I would like to see what would happen if every servers biggest e-peens met eachother...

    Hell no for all the reasons stated above.

    But I have no fear that will ever be implemented because of the income loss to PWI. Cash shoppers deck out their character on one server. Roll another character, cash shop to deck that one out. New server? Now you have to start all over again, so pull out your wallet.

    Won't happen. Moot question.

    Would love to see that to! As I've seen here again & again I suppose you guys are right. It was something to talk about though xD Forums seem to be kind of dead lately.


    How about just being able to take your Level, Class, and Stat points? Make it to where you gear has to stay on the server it was created on. Never mind the introduction of a new server. Think of it as if they were never going to open another server except the ones we have. Although I guess that would be a bit pointless to.

    How about the suffering of the journey from low lv to end game at pvp server ?
    Some people here may only accept people in pvp server if they goes through the suffering process. b:chuckle
    And most likely someone will say that you leveling in safety while they all in pvp server must survive to keep leveling. b:shutup b:infuriated

    I'd say this would be 100% true, if you look at all the results from the poll most of the noes were from players on PVP servers and 100% of yeses (as of when i looked) were from PVE servers.

    To the people saying it is impossible to transfer between servers... that is entirely untrue, it is actually rather easy to do and no it is not in a MySQL database it is stored in a gamedb that uses Berkeley DB, but can be very easily exported to XML (everything about your character will be in that XML) and then just send it over to a different server to import it, you wouldn't even need to change the character and user id's if you (as in PWE) have a centralized authorization database (which they do)

    They just choose not to do it as it has been stated, they don't make as much money as making you reroll again

    Heaven's Tear and Sanc share a name database, none of the others do.

    Well, I thought about transferring some items from one server to another, but after a while I realized what that would cause... CHAOS!

    And big NO to the transfer of all stuff and character. Ain't fair in no way. Doesn't make PWI money and ... would cause a lot of QQ.

    Basically, the minus side is waaaay bigger than the plus side.

    hell no lvling on pvp is hard enough with all the lvl 9x-10x pkrs killing you whilst you quest, we dont need problems from lvl 9x-10x off of other servers aswell. If you want to be on a pvp server you should have to go through the hardships of lvling whilst avoiding pkr'sb:bye

    transfer of characters to a different server is technically possible (including character name check, items, skills, friendlist update, faction update,...)

    it requires a web interface in the account management and the corresponding transfer script...

    don't believe it? check out the pw api...

    why the dev's don't create such a transfer script? lazy, money,... who knows
