I am not sure if I want to play it if I am enticed into buying stuff just to level and general gameplay enhancements that normal MMO's provide for free

it's not necessary, but it's damn convenient. maxing out my bank space, for instance, would have been much slower and harder if i hadn't spent real money on it --- and it would've made gameplay much more frustrating and annoying for lack of space if i hadn't done it.

my account stash is saving me time and coin in game and letting me reuse stuff much more conveniently; i could've grinded the coin for it instead of spending real cash, but, yeah... would've taken much longer and been annoying. the faster flyers i have on several alts make traveling in-game quicker and more tolerable, and again, same deal.

i spend about $10/month on average; i could spend less, but it'd get too frustrating. i could spend enormously much more, but i don't think i'd get any substantial, important amount of more utility out of spending any more than i do.

I tried playing a newbie character on earthguard area and find out the area can be annoying if you can't travel quickly.
If the stash didn't had free timed flyer on it, i might looking for a deal for earthguard aerogear.

The feeling of the world designed to make you travel a lot always come to mind.

You don't have to spend any money on the game...but if you want to be even remotely competitive, you need to either spend a bunch of money, or spend a huge amount of time.
