I don't think PWI cares who buys the gold as long as the same amount is purchased. What I mean is this, it does not matter if 5 people each buy 10 gold (which sells at auction for 500k each) or if one person buys 50 gold (which sells at auction for 100k each) and sells 40 of it to the other 4 players. PWI gets the same…

That is the cornerstone of cash shop games. Either you pay a monthly fee and the people that spend the most time in game win, or you play for free and the people that spend the most money win (with time being the second most important factor). It is an inevitable side effect of this business model.

The problem with packs is that they contain tokens of best luck. Two best luck tokens can be traded for a 10 million coin bank note. This causes rapid inflation. The packs themselves are not really a problem, just the ability to use the tokens in the packs to create huge sums of coin. If they removed the ability to trade…

The shame is, they really don't need to remove packs, they just need to remove the ability to trade best of luck tokens for 10 million bank notes. As long as packs are not bringing coin into the game they are not a big problem.

Heaven's Tear's 30 red pigments sold for 45 gold yesterday. Today's auction is a flyer ticket: Nether Shadow. Edit: The flyer ticket sold for 71 gold.

I assume it is that two best of luck tokens can be traded for a 10 million coin bank note. Since you are allowed to sell coin for real money in their version of the game you can buy packs as a form of gambling (since if you get enough best of luck tokens the bank notes will be worth more than you spent on packs). I really…

Change takes time. It is too early to see the effect. Your argument appears to be that because it is only a small improvement it is no improvement at all. I did not say that this would be the dramatic change that would bring gold prices back down to 100k like when the game started. I said it was an improvement. Anything…

Okay, since it is important to you I will address that as well. The bidding was also an improvement to TW. I will repeat, TW best serves the game when it is a coin sink. I include the new bidding process as part of that. The change to TW helps in two ways, it stops giving coin as a reward for winning and it makes…

I think the current change was a huge step in the right direction (since less coin is being brought into the game) and they really only need to make one more change to TW. They need to remove the mirage stones as a reward for TW and replace them with something that people really want (high demand items) that do not sell…

I would say the chat is an exception. I imagine few people like the chat change, but it is such an incredibly minor change that it is not worth complaining about. When I logged in after the patch my first thought was, "Why is chat so big and ugly?" Now I am used to it and it is no big deal. Cosmetic changes like the chat…

You are far from the only one, but upset people are always more vocal than happy people. The only people that were hurt by the patch are people that TW. People that PvP are always a minority in every game (though they always feel they are the majority for some reason) so this patch hurt far fewer people than it helped.…

That rep is a little low for the level but not so bad. I am only at 3785 reputation at level 98 (though I have only done a couple of quests between levels 82 and 98 so I have a lot to catch up on). Never give up on world quest either. It only has a small chance to give 5 rep but since it involves no combat you can do it…

There is pretty much no chance for this, but at least you now have a mule with extra inventory space.

TW should be a coin sink. Giving coin as a reward for TW was always a bad idea. Every MMORPG I have ever played had a huge inflation problem and giving mass sums of coin as a reward for TW was far from wise. Now TW is a money sink. This is good for the economy as a whole. You are correct though that the reward for TW needs…

I just wanted to chime in to pat PWI on the back for a positive change. Gold has been overpriced for a long time because coin is too easy to make and TW is one of the biggest culprits when it comes to flooding the world with coin (mainly because such a huge amount of coin is produced in such a short period of time).…

My mind went to the exact same place. I have been playing since September 3, 2008 (the second day the servers opened) and I remember when gold was 100k each. I remember the price slowly going up to 125k each and thought that even that was too much, but I reluctantly paid it. And then they had a huge series of extremely…

That video was definitely impressive. Level 83 in 26 minutes (the video is played at high speed so it does not take that long to watch). Still I wonder how high he could have gotten if he had used the other 170+ experience items in his inventory (and the experience reward items that came from those items).

Unfortunately, one of the biggest problems with this game is that, to most players, it is all about the money and not at all about the skill.

Very true that people on the PvP servers cannot just go afk, but I would think they would be entertained just looking out for the Pkers (if not then there clearly are not enough people taking advantage of world quest routes to ambush people). I understand the "fail to entertain" idea, but everyone's opinion is different. I…

World quest adds some much needed variety to the game play. I realize it is boring and repetitive, but, for me, killing things is worse. The more ways there are to get experience that do not involve killing anything the better. Sadly, world quest, crazy stone, crafting, and resource gathering are the only things I can…

Unless you are only home (or wherever your computer is) for just two hours a day you need to incorporate the world quest into the non-playing part of your day. When you wake up, log in and start world quest. While you fly afk, get ready for your day (just make sure to glance at your computer every 5 to 15 minutes to see if…

The necklace is level 72 and is located on Heaven's Tear.

I agree very strongly with you on this one. While I do not play an untamed, I was very bummed for all of you that do when I saw they made the two-headed dragon slower than the bug. You now have to choose between looking cool and being faster, when it would indeed make more sense for the best looking to also be the fastest…

What are you talking about? Heaven's Tear has been around just as long as Lost City, and if the people that post using their characters on this message board are any indication it would appear that HT has more high level players than LC (which would make sense since they do not get randomly ganked while grinding for…

This thread is over 7.5 months old. It is possible it has been fixed since then.

At least when it comes to levels, the best thing a player such as yourself can probably do is look at level 100 as the virtual level cap. Levels 101-105 are designed to be endless so if you can put them out of your mind you can pretend they do not exist. Maybe you can look at Warsoul weapons the same way. There existence…

1. The main reason to make those last levels so hard to get is to keep players like me in the game. When I hit a level cap, I leave the game. I have no fun playing a character that cannot improve himself. It is much better to have 5 extra levels that are almost impossible to get than to stop the game at level 100 and give…

To clear up any confusion, he meant to say "can't" instead of "can". Materials cannot be refined into higher level materials in this version of Perfect World.

Ideally, yes, but for whatever reason this is what we have to do. With that in mind it would be wise for level 4 tailors to focus on making 2 star Hermits Capes. If you wait until you are level 5 and get the test you will not be able to get any skill ups when you try to make Hermits Capes. Plus, since there is no test to…
