At lvl 81 it turns to 200k xp. You gonna ignore that? lolIsala - Sanctuary wrote: »I just ignore WQ now. 100k EXP for an hour and a half of flying everywhere? I'll pass. I'll just go grab a Justice Order, and kill mobs for an hour. 30k for the Quest, and whatever mobs I kill, and whatever drops I get. So, if I hardcore kill while doing it, even after I get my 70 kills, I end up with about 100k worth of drops/coins, and after grabbing a second one, for 30k more, I gain a ton more EXP/Cash in 2 hours, than the 1.5 for WQ.
Example: Huggy Hares. At my level, the normal EXP per mob is 340. I can kill 70 of them in about 30 minutes, so let's call it about 140 per hour. 140 mobs times 340, assuming I don't take on any weak, or boosted stat mobs, and I'm gaining 47,600 EXP in an hour. Add the 30,000 from the Quest, I've got 77,600 EXP in an hour. Do it twice, and in 2 hours, I've got 153,200 EXP, and whatever drops I've gotten. 100k in 1.5 hours VS 153.2k in 2? I'll stick with killing things, thanks.I post in forums. This one and others. That's why I post.0 -

Actually, yes. I'll be ignoring all dailies after I hit 80, because I'll be doing nothing but farming money, and lots of it. After 80, leveling isn't so much a priority as getting my manufacturing skills past the next quest, farming for my gear, and getting my skills and pets.0 -
God - Dreamweaver wrote: »I never said it's hard to do WQ. I'm just saying how boring and long it is. I only play two hours everyday but the actual play time (killing mobs instead of just afk flying) is far less when you consider the time needed to complete a WQ.
Unless you are only home (or wherever your computer is) for just two hours a day you need to incorporate the world quest into the non-playing part of your day. When you wake up, log in and start world quest. While you fly afk, get ready for your day (just make sure to glance at your computer every 5 to 15 minutes to see if you have stopped flying). Do that until you have to leave and start it up again when you get home. With all the things an average person does at home in a given day (showering, brushing teeth, using restroom, getting mail, taking out the garbage, etc.) it should be really easy to make world quest something that is done while dealing with real life responsibilities. I have never used a teleport during world quest and it does not take away from my play time at all because world quest gets done while I am working on real life things.0 -

I think it should be removed and replaced by something more interesting like a quest in a dungeon or something.
World quest adds some much needed variety to the game play. I realize it is boring and repetitive, but, for me, killing things is worse. The more ways there are to get experience that do not involve killing anything the better. Sadly, world quest, crazy stone, crafting, and resource gathering are the only things I can think of that involve no killing and crafting and resource gathering are just not practical sources of experience.0 -
Doing this would be ok for people on a PvE server. But people on a PVP server can't just walk away. Unless they don't care to lose their stuff or... strip their character of everything it has before they do wq? Which would be more trouble than its worth. Anyways good plan but it generally takes more than 3-5 mins to grab the new book and autopilot and fly to next destination. The quest does fail to "entertain" as it was put. Which is what this game is supposed to be for. Spend an hour and a half doing nothing but flying is not entertaining. Yes the exp is nice, and yes you can do it in like 10 mins if you want to spend 500k in teleport stones. Either way.. it does fail to "entertain"erethizon1 wrote: »Unless you are only home (or wherever your computer is) for just two hours a day you need to incorporate the world quest into the non-playing part of your day. Very true that people on the PvP servers cannot just go afk, but I would think they would be entertained just looking out for the Pkers (if not then there clearly are not enough people taking advantage of world quest routes to ambush people).
I understand the "fail to entertain" idea, but everyone's opinion is different. I feel TT fails to entertain and would be quite pleased to see all of it removed (it is just a chore to me like many people feel WQ is). Obviously there are others that feel very differently. I do not truly think TT should be removed (though I would be fine with it if it were), but I do choose to only participate in it when I have a quest to do in there or when begged by a friend. People that really hate world quest would probably be wise to ignore it the way I do TT. I would be very disheartened if WQ were removed as it is where I get nearly half of all the experience for my character (crazy stone being most of the other half). The trek from level 85 (my current level) to 100 would take nearly twice as long if they removed WQ (since I would just being doing crazy stone every day). With WQ around I believe I will hit level 100 in a year or two, but without it it would take 2 to 4 years instead.0 -
1 Hour WQ works well with daily attendance quest, but who knows if/when we'll get that.0
