I think you will notice that in most situations, that the lower level cleric (unless there is a huuuge gap) can handle the healing without whoevers tanking's health moving like at all. Some notable exceptions would be bosses with epic debuffs.

this is correct. It reduces both urs and the person you cast it on by 30% of your mag def and 30% of their mag def respectively. Because if it was 30% reduction of the mag def of the caster and the same figure on the target you could reduce mag def of some HA ppl to like zero... and that doesn't happen in my experience.

I have the sage version (just for fun :P) and its pretty useless.

To add a little bit more, I would say a one shot is when you can take out someones full hp with only 1 damage dealing skill (so that means debuffs and buffs on yourself that cause no dmg are fine eg. extreme poison or spark). Thats just my opinion though :P
