I'm worried about the fact PWI is enticing (or making it easier for) people to spend more money on this game by offering more expensive payment options. Couple that with their other money-making schemes (ani packs, anyone?) and I'll be looking for another game to play.

The math's been done before, right here on this forum. It's cheaper to just buy the cheapest flyer and then buy widgets to upgrade it, provided that the final speed will be same as the fancier flyers. I know this wouldn't make a lot of sense in real life, but it does in PWI.

The guy who introduced me to PWI was a lvl 85 wizard (at the time), and he was an unemployed bum who couldn't possibly spend any money on videogames. Granted, he had a LITTLE more free time to put in than I ever would. That's one thing that REALLY drew me into PWI.

Also pay attention to ping. Since there are servers on both US east and west coasts, ping may vary widely, depending on where you are on the planet. Unfortunately, for me, Dreamweaver is the only PVE server with decent ping.

I already bought a flying mount from CS, and fully upgraded it. Once I hit lvl 30, will I be able to sell the free flying mount I get and keep using my current one?? Because I heard the free one is really slow and can't be upgraded...

You can play the game just fine without using $$. I think the items in CS can be divided in 2 categories: 1. Stuff to accelerate your progress. Mounts allow you to travel faster, training esoterica allows you to lvl up faster, etc. 2. Useless stuff, like fireworks and pretty clothes (for cosmetic effect only, no stats).…
