    Lolz, this will actually make me use pets more often. I do worry about one thing: Pet Skills. Assuming you upgrade your pet (Let's us a phoenix as an example) via a forge of some sort, causing it to evolve/grow up/whatever they want to call it... into the larger, more flashy phoenix, will it reset the skills you've taught it? A question I doubt there's an answer for atm, but considering how much those skills cost, and how hard they are to obtain, I'd hope not. But since I'm in pretty decent gear, I'm sure whether they reset or not, it'll still be more powerful than it is right now with those skills o,..,o

    Well, with the new teaser image/caption released in yesterday's maint forum thread, I am thinking we might be seeing the veno/barb update faster than we might think. I'm think that we'll get it next week of the week after but I may be getting my hopes too high as well.

    If they do put it in the boutique then they are stupid, skills should never be in the boutique. Pet upgrades I could understand cause nix and herc are from the boutique, but for skills it's just stupid...

    If i translate it to enlish, it means that "The numbers of skill will be increased up to 6, but we still have to wait the confirmation about whether the 6 skills are only possessed by Legendary pets or both legendary and ordinary pets".

    I saw no one posted so today i got the butterfly form i chose to do the quest.
    The quest line is long and boring with 2 hard stages only the mobs in sot and the last boss.
    After you turn in the quest you exchange an item for the skill books at the venomancer trainer in lost.There are 2skill books the first upgrades the orginal foxform to the upgraded status the 2nd gives you ability to get into the new shape. You must learn the first to learn the 2nd. and the first got a 1m coin fee to learn. while the 2nd needs 5m coins. both takes 1m spirit

    What's the last boss like? Withered revenants the only mobs required in SoT? (Had to stop this morning after reaching the NPC in SoT, but I know that doing the revenants is totally doable solo with a herc, not sure with lesser pets... I remember sacrificial assault warriors in Secret Frostcover Grounds being impossible to solo with a glacial walker even at 59.)

    the boss is a so hard it 2 shot my herc. I had a strong barb and a cleric in bb to be able to do it. it also got 5m hp and self buff which reduces melee/physical damage greatly(unpurgable) my dino with claw did 145dmg per hit.
    the only mobs needed in sot are the Withered revenants. i suggesting getting help bec doing mobs 1by1 will take ages and its only the begining.
    Finally since you mentioned frost HYPER exp does not work anymore in there.

    just tested it 35chi every 6secs and 70 in the first 6secs is awsome.

    I took tons of SS but I'm kinda lazy to change them to jpg and upload them on photobucket, sorry b:surrender I pretty much spend my whole day running around in the new butterfly form b:chuckle

    The quest chain is quite long but very enjoyable (especially if you grab a couple of friends to do it with). I really loved the story and the dynamic NPCs.

    I did a long quest to get the butterfly form only to hear my footsteps when I transform into a nice looking 5-tailed fox. b:shocked

    Hi, any guide to get the new form ? I completed some quests and got me to venomancer npc in lost , told me to ask the elder for a quest to get neather soulcore but he doesnt have any quest.

    Venomancer and Barbarian have all these skill now. I added some text on the Demon fox form to highlight the change.
    ●Fox Form <- pdef 120% (150% in the yellow text), accuracy 200% (250% in the yellow text), less mp : 20%
    ○Fox Form
    ●Fox Form (Imbued) <- pdef 150%, accuracy 250% + 35 chi for each cast
    ○Fox Form (Imbued)
    ●Butterfly Form <- pdef 150%, accuracy 250% + 35 chi for each cast
    ○Butterfly Form

    ●True Form
    ○True Form
    ●True Form (Intensified)
    ○True Form (Intensified)
    ●Panda Form
    ○Panda Form
    Sage and Demon skill are still the 1st one? What is the Imbued/Intensified skill?
    And the new skill is the Butterfly/Panda form now?
    Seems Butterfly Form need Fox Form (Imbued) who need Fox Form ...
    I'm a little lost :(

    And what is the new quest name to get these skill?

    I'm a veno, but I assume this is basically the same for barbs.

    The quest at Lost City Elder is "Hero Assembly"

    The quest at Lost City Veno skill trainer is "New Form" (there's 2 - one for boutique item and one for quest line item)

    All the quests are in purple text.


    Upon completing the long quest you get 2 skill books:

    FF Imbued requires sage FF to learn. The upgrade adds the 35 chi part, but your FF appearance looks the same as it used to.

    Butterfly Form is a separate skill, requires Imbued to learn, and is identical to Imbued except for the new appearance.

    EDIT2: I had originally thought these skills upgraded one another and the end result was a double-upgraded FF, but they are 2 separate skills indeed.

    I think I could find all quest in the chinese part of pwdatabase now ( if pwi one still not updated)

    Will have to find how to put new veno and barb form in the skill page to update it.

    I saw the new pet form, was wondering what was these pet some time ago (already have screnshot of some of it).

    New pet forms haven't been released yet (not even in China.)

    Foxform enhanced and butterfly form give no reduction in MP for both sage and demon; sage gives 35 chi per use, demon a 5% reduction in critical hits received I'm told, probably for 6 seconds, same as the speed boost. You must learn the enhanced form before butterfly form.

    LVL req. is 100 and must have sage/demon foxform.
    First you upgrade the old fox into the new status.
    then you learn a new skill for new shape

    I see. The new skill just replaced the old fox form into the fresh look, with another add-ons which is based on the cultivation you chose and also non-MP reduction when transforming.

    The only one thing that i still look forward to is new pet upgrade system b:chuckle Thus i can no longer see my niex die very very easily.b:shocked

    and i hope normal pet get un upgrade to stand a chance to wit say halv damage compared to butique pets and nothing more.

    otherwise there would be no point in normal pets and that be a shame.

    Ok, thoughts.

    That's a LOT of fetch quests. I guess they have to justify the huge cash-shop pricetag for the shortcut somehow.
    Quite an interesting story; though, yes, it uses timetravel AGAIN. Seriously wanmei, stoppit.

    And then a quite hard fight; with a boss who randomly despawns at about 20% health? That was odd. But we got credit, so whatever.

    Also - HILARIOUS to hear worldchat complaining about not being able to find barbs or venos this week.

    And now I can be a shiny shiny oddly spiky-shaped foxy! YAY!


    But, um, according to the text - it's cost me a chunk of my accuracy? (I'm sage) And in exchange I get... some more useless chi?


    This seems less than wonderful.


    Ah well. I can be a bouncy purple rainbow farting foxy! YAY! Rainbow farts! Boing boing boing!


    But uh; yeah, pet upgrades would be a lot nicer. And having two different new fox skills is just strange and odd. I don't really understand that at all. If anyone can explain, I'd be a happier bouncy rainbow-farting fox.

    (Ok; I think I'm missing "Demon linghuan Fox" skill? Where'd I drop the ball?)

    This week was very crazy. The new form was launched here in PWI, and the PWCN give new informations about the new pet system: http://w2i.wanmei.com/news/gamenews/20130322/69530.shtml


    From what I understood:

    1- The new content will be launched in April,2 in PWCH. So the new system, news pets, news pet's appearances and a lot of other news will be implemmented.

    2- The Monkey King (WuKong) will be a pet for Physical Attacks, and The Haypy (Kunpeng) a pet for Magical Attacks.

    3- Harpy and Monkey King will have new skills. And all of the pets can get two more skills (needs confirmation), 6 skills for each pets. I have a doubt if this is 2 new skills or it is the 2 news customizations: Crazy and Strong. I need confirmations for this.

    4- New pet skills will be implemmented. According the text will be 100 different skills for you mix. (Needs confirmation).

    5- Each pet will have a inherit coeficient based in the main function of this pet. Example:
    Pheonix will have a high inherit coefficient for the attack power, but a low coefficient for the deffense. And the hercules a high coefficient for the deffense but a low coefficient for the attack power. But you can TRAIN the hercules to cause multiple injuries and the phoenix to use defensive and attack skills. I think that that this TRAINING, is the 2 new customizations: "Crazy" (Offensive) and "Strong" (Defensive)

    6- The habitat of the Phoenix and Hercules will be changed. You will can lead them to the land, air and sea.

    7- Pet leveling will be removed. The pet will inherit the master level automatically.

    Well, not sure what to say about that.

    I feel kinda sad because I actually liked leveling the pets and it made a difference between lazy Venomancers and those who actually cared.

    Of course I hate leveling pets past lvl 100 b:surrender so I am pretty happy about that.

    I wish they would have just increased the EXP gain per kill or just lower the EXP needed (or both) but regardless I'll be happy not having to grind like a no-lifer to level up my pets beyond 101!
